This is our go to place for teriyaki. The people that run this place are so nice. They are so happy to see you. The food has always been great. I’m never too adventurous. .usually teriyaki chicken or beef. I don’t know why there are some bad reviews. .true, it’s a strip mall restaurant, not fancy… but very good.

Mukilteo has a few chinese restaurants, but this one is closest to downtown Muk and has been around for ages. Honesty it has been years since I have ordered from this little place. I tried to place a take out order a few months ago, but a ESL gentleman could not understand my order so I gave up. Fast forward to this week… I ‘m all about second chances. I ordered sweet and sour chicken to go, and the order was ready in 10 minutes and the kid at the counter was super polite.(hence the stars, gotta appreciate quickness and service) As I walked in, I saw pictures of this dish filled with carrots, onions, peppers, and pineapple.(Traditional) I open the box to see tiny pieces of breaded chicken, with even tinier pieces of onions and a bath of red gooey sauce. I know… I should have taken a pic for Unilocalsterverse. So this review… stay away from the sweet and sour chicken. It’s like thick red syrup over meat with no vegies. I think panda express would have made this dish better. Fail.

When I moved to Mukilteo 4 years ago I wanted to find a place that had awesome teriyaki; Rainbow wok & teriyaki is just that place! The portions are generous, the service is great, the price is really reasonable, and the location is less than 5 minutes from my house! The owner is really nice an always remembers me even though I do not go in on a regular basis anymore. This is the type of business I prefer to support over the chain restaurants that you can go to.

Went here for lunch since it was the only place open on the Saturday for Chinese. Ordered orange chicken which was too sweet and syrupy for my taste. Can’t add much more to that, other than I hope other Chinese places stay open on Saturdays.

My favorite teriyaki place… The food are delicious… The beef and chicken are tender and flavorful. The portion are huge? The service are excellent. The owner lady is so nice. Love love this place

Portions are small & overly greasy! Do not order the mongolian beef, stick to teriyaki at best. The lady is nice though… but the food not great for me to come back again

We have been going here for years. Usually the food is great but the last we were disappointed. It just wasn’t fresh or quality or quaintly. I hope they do better next time.

Looking for some decent chinese food I came accross walking distance from this place and said why not I can’t drive my car because of the snow… so I place my ordered of chicken n beef teriyaki and a combo chow mein. Let’s start with the teriyaki it was good but very small portion for the money… now with chow mein it was horrible! Noodles were over cooked and the taste was very bland I added soy sauce to try to bend the taste so I could eat atleast something after that 10 min walk. It was the worst chow mein I tried in my life I won’t be coming back anytime soon… not worth the walk or money.

When it comes to teriyaki it’s easy to find a decent place and not venture to find out if there are other good places in the area, which is what I had settled on doing for awhile until I was unsatisfied enough times that I needed something new. However this turned out to be a blessing because Rainbow Wok is much better and friendlier. I’ve come in for lunch maybe 10 or so times and have tried the mongolian beef, almond chicken, teriyaki chicken & gyoza, chicken yakisoba and sweet and sour chicken. The only criticism I have is with the sweet and sour chicken which was a little too sweet and the vegetables were cut too large so they didn’t cook long enough to soften. Otherwise, though, this is a great place with good lunch specials and it’s in a very convenient location to swing by on your way to or from the freeway so until something else comes along, you’ll find me here on a weekly basis.

I wasn’t in the mood for Chinese food but wanted something quick and casual. I liked the fact that Rainbow offers both Chinese and something other than typical Chinese like Teriyaki, Kabob, Katsu and yakisoba. I ordered yakisoba with shrimp. Big portion and good tasteful yakisoba. The lady at the counter was very friendly and even added rice without additional charge. If you want to try decent asian stir-fried food, I recommend Rainbow Wok & Teriyaki, especially lunch special is a bargain!

Have been having lunch here once a week for years. Good teriyaki, excellent Chinese. Love the Mongolian Beef, Szechuan Beef and the best Hot and Sour Soup that I have found. If you want spicy, the Szechuan will light you up.
