This place is just«OK». Borderline ripoff(cost as much as Benihana). Service is good, but food is mediocre. But then again, there really isn’t a ot options here in Teme/Murrieta area.

2÷4÷16 @2:15pm I have been a repeat customer for a while and have always been very happy with lunch and dinner. But today I am beyond shocked by the rude service from our waitress. I get people have bad days and can act a bit less interactive with you but this lady takes the trophy for being the most ignorant restaurant employee I have dealt with. I am very grateful and generous tiper and have never left a restaurant without tipping even if the service was just okay. But congrats to this server on earning my first ever $ 0 tip. Never coming back!

This place is an absolute joke. If ZERO stars was an option, that is exactly what I would give them. Our family has been to Shogun before & had great service & I was tempted to go there again, but my daughter insisted that we try and new place — so we decided to give Arashi a try. I called and made reservations for our party of 6 for 5:30 pm on a Saturday. We got to the restaurant & the phone was ringing. no one was at the front to greet people or answer the ringing phone. We stood there for 10 minutes & still no one had even acknowledged that we were there or that we had a RESERVATION! What in the world was the point of having a reservation??? There was a gentleman behind a counter making sushi and we asked if he could help us & he said, «No.» We asked him if there was a manager that we could talk to because now we has been standing there for 15 minutes and had not been spoken to by anyone about how they would be with us or that they were getting a table ready or anything. My husband & I were ready to leave, but my daughter who had begged to go there insisted that we wait, so for the sake of wanting to make her happy(as we were out to celebrate her 4.0 grades)-we stayed there. Finally a waitress came and asked if we had been helped, I told her no & we had been waiting for about 20 minutes and we had a reservation for 5:30 pm. She apologized and said that she would get a table ready for us and get us taken care of. We were seated, given menus covered in sticky plum sauce & the table/counter tops of the teppan grill were so tacky that the menus were almost glued to them. I didn’t complain, just took baby wipes out of my bag and had each person wipe there area. Our drink orders were taken. And, we asked to see the sushi menu as one child wanted sushi and not teppan. We were told she would bring that menu. Fast forward over 10 minutes, no drinks & no sushi menu. I had to taken 3 of our child to the bathroom & I share that experience in a minute, but when we returned from the bathroom, the drinks were there, but of course no sushi menu. I got up & walked around to the front of the restaurant, which was still unattended and new people were waiting to be acknowledged and seated-and ta-da I found a sushi menu & took one for my daughter to order from. Back to taking the kids to the bathroom. To make it back to the bathroom, we had to squeeze past an area where waitresses were trying to all use the same computer to enter orders into(not ours because we’d been there over 45 minutes & had received all the menus we requested yet!). We also had to dodge past broken chairs with torn upholstery littering the hallway to get back to the restrooms. Once in the restroom,(there are 2 stalls) the floor was SO incredibly oily that I almost slipped and fell. My children had to gently slide /shuffle their feet to move into the stall. I am not exaggerating one bit on this! There was SO much grease on the floor that my kids were comparing the sole pattern that their shoes were making on the floor. Yes, there was SO much grease that their shoes were leaving the sole pattern on the floor. Disgusting and ridiculous. When we got back to the tables we placed our dinner order with the waitress and waited & waited & waited. We waited and waited and waited until it had been over 1 and ½ hours since we entered the restaurant and no teppan chef making our dinner yet. Yes, you read that correctly — we had dinner reservations for 5:30 pm and it was now 7:00 pm and our dinner was not being made yet. I told my husband that I was beyond completely over it. My children, him & I were worth more than waiting and waiting and trying to be polite and waiting to be served and this place obviously did not want our service. **I know that I am on Unilocal now making this review, but usually I am not a big complainer, BUT I really feel like people need to know what this place was like for us — it was a horrible, horrible experience for what was supposed to be us going out to celebrate 4.0 grades for our 2 daughters. They worked SO very hard to achieve those grades and then to go out and celebrate like this was hurtful. BACKTODINNER — Ok, just as we were getting up to put out jackets on to ask for our check as we had been trying to find out waitress to ask for it so we could just pay for our drinks & leave — one of our daughters begged if we could please try to wait a little longer… my husband and I were both telling her, «Honey, we’ve been here for over 2 hours now and it’s time we go else where to eat. Your 2 year old brother is about to lose it as he’s starving and just can’t sit in a high chair anymore.» Just as she agreed it was time to go, imagine this — our teppan chef shows up and tells us that we have to sit back down & he will take care of us. Cooks food in less than 10 min. Food wasn’t impressive. Kids were fed. But, based on the INCREDIBLE lack of cust service-we will NEVER return. Go Shogun.

Good sushi, fair prices. The fried rice is better then I have had at other teppan restaurants.

We just went there for lunch. Not only was the food good, there was such a variety! You can have sushi, soup, tempura and teppanyaki cooked to order. The service was good and the price was amazing. We will be back!

Lunch review — not the best teppan, but great value for the price. The service wasn’t that good, but we will come back. There used to be a waiter here that was fantastic, but he is now a sushi chef. Great for him but the waitress isn’t nearly as nice as he was. I’m not sure she actually knows how to smile.

Arashi is a great local treasure. They have a teppan table and a great menu selection. Sit at the sushi bar and enjoy your experience here. Chef Dustin is extremely gracious. He takes his time asking your personal tastes and making recommendations or making something special for his guests.

I used to come here all the time, I would bring my mom or occasionally other family members… The last few times I have been noticing a lack of quality. Major disappointment: dirty nasty tables and menus. This is a place that serves raw fish!!! I expect the tables to be clean and sealed with some kind of sealer that will prevent the tables from soaking up the soy sauce and god knows what else. Their best attribute was the lobster roll. It was to die for and so delicious! Imagine our disappointment when the rice was old and fell apart in chunks. The seaweed was chewy and the whole roll seemed to be pre-made junk. The wait staff is disappointed if you want to sit at a booth near the sushi bar instead of their lunch buffet area. I dislike being judged by the hostess or waitress when they basically ask me where I’d like to sit and I am honest. The water also had some unidentified floating white stuff in it. The dishwasher is either asleep at the sink, or they need a new water source!!! SOGROSS. I’d love to ask the health inspector that passed this place what his opinion of the tables is. Oh! and their menus are nasty too by the way. Sticky and grungy.

Did the groupon 22for 40 and was first put off by the location when we arrived, it did take over a hour to get here but we wanted something different. Wait was not long we came a little before six, the food was pretty bland to be quite honest. Nothing jumped out and made us think WOW this is good food. I’ve been to Sayaka’s In Colton, and that place was simply amazing, they aren’t afraid to use some flavoring. Also our drinks Were not refilled once, and Danny finished his before our chef came out. My bill was $ 65 and it took off $ 40 so $ 25 and I can honestly say it was not worth it. I’m glad I only had to pay $ 25 and not full price because it was not worth that price at all. I’d rather pay $ 80 at Ooka or Sayaka’s for better tasting and filling food. Most likely won’t come back here pretty disappointing.

So good, a little pricey but the show was fantastic. Came here with a group of friends and we all had the teppan. Our waitress was wonderful, very friendly and very helpful. The food was great, I had the new York and chicken. Very good, would reccomend it to anyone who went here, or the filet minion. There was an onion train on fire. That was cool. Sake is good, good selection. I enjoyed this and hope to be back sometime soon!

*3.5 Stars* I’m not an AYCE sushi person but from what I’ve seen and experienced, this is one of the best AYCE spots in the area. Modern décor and big enough for larger parties in the back. I offered the sushi chefs shot of saki and he looked like a deer in headlights, felt awkward, just wanted to have a good time. Food was good, I’d stop by again.

Went here on the recommendation of my husband. He espoused their $ 10 lunch buffet. I was skeptical but I’m a believer now. Pros: The sushi was freshly made as we came near the opening time. The selection of sushi was ideal: two rolls, two with fresh fish, two deep fried, two house specials. The hot food selection: yummy teriyaki chicken, the tempura was crispy. The teppan grill where one could order freshly made beef, shrimp, and chicken dishes. I liked the seating around the teppan grills for lunch. It made for an interesting way to meet new people. Cons: Nothing that I can think of from that first visit. When I think of the time I spent not knowing about the existence of Arashi and missing out on the great food, I greatly desire to make up for lost time. We’ll definitely be there again.

Good portions and quality. It’s my new go-to AYCE sushi place. One, down the street, has been slipping and Arashi is drying the floor. Service is good; they made my daughter ‘kiddie’ chopsticks as I was out of rubber bands to make one myself. They catered to her as much as us. When a mistake was made on our order, they offered us Mochi at no cost. I haven’t tried the Teppan section yet but I always hear people having a good time with the chefs. When we left my daughter tripped and lost her shoe. Our server put it back on her before I could. Awesome service!

Lunch buffet. Its worth the money. Around $ 10(not counting tax and tip). –There are around 6 different roll options. Each roll has California roll fillings. Some have thin slices of sushi, some have baked salmon on top, some have crunchy roll style outside. Another has jalapeño. Its pretty good to try. But can be too much when eating only artificial crab meat and avocado –katsu option –tempuras –teriyaki chicken –chicken and veggie gyoza –some popcorn chicken like things(good) — chow mien –small salad bar and seaweed stuff(its good seaweed things) –Other options is to have chef cook steak, chicken, or fish for you. With fried rice and/or vegetables. I wish they had like A1 steak sauce or tabasco. The steak is okay. The chicken is good and fish is alright. Chocolate ice cream machine. Its cheap and good enough to get you full and satisfied. But I feel like I want to go work out after eating all the fried, oiled food. Its definitely worth, but not the absolute best.

This review is for the 10 dollar lunch buffet. For 10 dollars, not a bad value. There is an assortment of «middle of the road» quality sushi. Seemed to maybe have been pre-made quite a bit earlier, but didn’t taste weird or fishy. Just not as good as a full on a la carte sushi place. A small assortment of soup, noodles, salads, and fried things. Most of it tasted decent. The Teppan grill is what you come here for. Disappointed they didn’t have shrimp. They only had steak, chicken, and some kind of fish(probably tilapia). Why such a low review if I didn’t hate the food? Because of the awkward service. I can put up with crap service if the food is excellent, but if the food is only«meh» it’s hard to justify going there. The Teppan chef seemed like he sized me up and disliked me right away. He just muttered things instead of answering simple questions or laughed at me. Like for example, I asked him what the 2 sauces were and he just laughed and told me to try them. It’s like.. .or you could answer the question without being a dick? The waitress was likewise standoffish and extremely slow to do anything. I had to beg for drink refills, huge wait for check, etc. She wasn’t as rude as the chef, but just made me feel ignored. And it was not particularly crowded — maybe only 5 other tables in there. I thought at first it could be some kind of language barrier, but I then saw other patrons coming in and being treated MUCH better than me because they were regulars. Happy warm greetings from the server and chef. So apparently if they don’t recognize you, they don’t care for you? Not a great way to earn new business if you ask me. Also, the décor and cleanliness is sort of a bummer. Feels very dingy and dirty in there. Which just like the service, I don’t care about if the food is excellent. But with mediocre food, these kind of things bug me more. So yeah, I mean it’s a cheap lunch for 10 bucks. If you’re a regular there, I’m sure you’ll be treated nice. But don’t be surprised if you’re treated like an annoyance on your first visit! I for one don’t plan on giving them another chance!
