The best fudge! I miss living in Mystic and stopping in here from time to time. Nice little gift shop too! :) make sure to pick up some salt water taffy!

Franklin’s General Store is hands down my favorite store in the Olde Mystic Village. Jams and Jellies. Homey and Maple Syrup. Candies. Fudge. Pure Cane Sugar Soda. Various other nick nacks. Look at the pictures on Unilocal. They really do help capture what this store is all about. The folks who run the store and help keep it going are great people. All very helpful and friendly. Very accommodating to ensure return visits. Something I don’t think should go unnoticed considering in today’s society really good customer service is hard to come by. Will be back and highly recommend if you have never been here mark it on your to do list. They have something for everyone.

A must visit if you’re in the Mystic shopping area. Fudge, fudge, fudge. And nuts. And any kind of souvenir that would be worth buying. You can find lots of local food stuffs, as well, including unique pancake mixes. Good luck getting out of here without buying something.

One of my favorite stores. Love the variety. It gets crowded real quick. I am happy that they carry Dave’s Coffee Syrup as I can’t really find it anywhere else near me(I know you can get it at the coffee owner’s shop, but I don’t travel around that area).

I buy fudge in every state I visit and this fudge was very good! Very smooth, fresh, creamy and shared our first family experience when my son asked for his first taste! Now that’s a good memory! They also sell many different old candies, nic nacs and foods for different cooking occasions. Very busy, checkout went pretty fast though.

My favorite store to stop at when in Mystic Village. Everything is great – the nuts, the salad dressings, but the best thing there is the fudge. I can honestly say that this is my favorite fudge and arguably the best in New England. Definitely try the moose tracks flavor, but all are fantastic!

Great place to stop and get a greeting card, look around at other items and of course get a piece of fudge. I’ll be back for a return trip.

If you’re looking for fudge and you’re within 30 miles, this is the place to go. 21 flavors, $ 11.99/lb, and they’re all delicious. The only drawback is that you have to buy the pre-cut blocks, which are about 10 – 12 oz each.

My husband and I stopped in during the Garlic Festival over the weekend of 9÷20−22 this year. The free samples of fudge were a big hit with me.(I did get a block to bring home and share with my in-laws.) My husband found several interesting jams and other items. It reminds me of almost all New England general stores, but that is in no way a «bad» thing.

You can smell the nuts as you are walking passed, so you have to go in. We bought some and they were hot and delicious! Mom was duped by the fudge so she filled her tourist impulse by buying a piece. She wanted a little taste, a small piece but they make you buy a large square. Oh well. I am giving this store 4 stars because they had a ton of edibles and canned goods that were made in Mystic or said Franklins on it. I like to buy stuff and support the local shops!

It’s your typical general store. Lots of knickknacks, hard-to-find, and unique things. Went here as part of my vacation in CT, and enjoyed looking at all the different toys, funny signs, and perusing the abundant selection of jellies, mustards, spreads, syrups, baking mixes, etc. My fav part of the general store(sweettooth alert!) was the old-fashioned candy. They also have a good selection of different types of fudge, my only complaint is that you’re forced to buy a pretty significant block of fudge(about ½ lb) which for one person is a lot of fudge! It would be nice if they had flexibility with the amount of fudge you can purchase, I have never run into this issue anywhere else, and it seems a ridiculous policy! They certainly would have made more money from me if I couldve gotten an assortment of smaller pieces of fudge, as I opted not to buy any since I could not sample any of the ones I wanted to try, and wouldve been forced to buy a huge chunk of it.

Cool hard-to-find stuff that you don’t need but just have to have. A mishmosh of stuff… jams, fudge, knicknacks, books, etc. I picked up a few really cool books, but resisted the urge to buy anything else.

A typical«general store» — the kind that you can poke around in for quite a long time. We enjoyed looking at the toys, the knick knacks, the candy, you name it.

Two words… Apple Butter! If your a fan of different types of jams, jellies, dip mixes, and fudge, definitely take a stroll into Frankin’s General Store. It’s always cool, especially after being on vacation from daily life in NYC, to walk into an old fashioned looking general store.

Don’t bother getting Del’s from here. They just use the mix and it’s just slush and sugar.
