Very«meh» experience. I was told to arrive for my lesson half an hour early. My instructor arrived ten minutes LATE. He had not been informed of how many people he was going to be teaching, and we three(separate) students believed we’d be getting private lessons. Instructor Mike was nice, but his attention was split between three students, and he didn’t show us by example how to surf. Waves were small… the business can’t do anything about that, but it would have been nice if they had told me when I booked what the wave forecast would have been… glad I got a Groupon and didn’t pay full price.

Last weekend I decided to take my older sister surfing for our first time as her bday present. We had Conrad as our instructor and while my sister and I had our doubts about our surfing abilities, Conrad was positive we would get up on our boards. The weather wasn’t as beach-y as one could have hoped but we had wetsuits and avoided the crowds. Our instructor motivated us and helped us during our lesson giving each of us specific tips and feedback. Both of us stood up on our surfboards, we absolutely loved the experience and can’t wait to go surfing again. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone and I can’t wait to come back :) thank you surf & skate

Great place, great people! Selection is limited, but I always check them out first as I know I will get a good deal, and will be dealing with very nice people.

Love supporting this place. I bought a pair of Rainbow flip flops, probably the best $ 50 I have ever spent on shoes.

It had always been my dream to surf. It was defintielly one of my top 5 things to do before I die and lo and behold, I found a groupon for surfing in Narragansett! I had never been to Narragansett so I wasn’t sure what to expect, all I knew was that it was expensive to park and be on the beach so instead I parked on the street for free. Anywho, Conrad was our teacher and did a great job. He would be patient, tell us what we did wrong and how to improve. I may have only stood up twice during the entire hour in the water but it was the best time. The water was warm, we didn’t need wet suits and the waves were perfect for beginners. I can’t wait to do this again some day!

I brought my nephew in to get a new set up on his skateboard deck. Ed REALLY took care of us. They support LOCALS which you all know, I just love! Good gear, all around, if you are heading to the beach, or away from the beach, you gotta stop in!

They are a surf shop as well as a surfing academy. I rented a board from them for $ 30. They’re also a ways down from Narragansett Beach which will be a long walk or $ 10 parking near the beach. There’s also a free parking and a shuttle from the Elementary school at 55 Mumford. The board they gave me was really old and beat up but I didn’t care. Service was friendly. Warm Winds Surf Shop rents out for $ 40 so I’ll probably stick with them.
