First time here. Ordered a shit ton of sushi. And to my surprise it was amazing! Not only was the fish very fresh tasting, but everything was well put. The rolls did not seem to be shy of anything! I’ve been to many sushi places and usually the rolls are small and lack a few ingredients but Osaka’s rolls were very well put together. I would have given five stars, but the waiter lacked friendliness, attentiveness, and barely gave us any attention, if so, it was quick and short, I felt like I couldn’t add a few comments or ask for anything after I had ordered my plates. Overall, the sushi made up for it. Note: I also don’t know which roll was what, the waiter served us our sushi and walked away. But, we had the Nashua, Double Treasure, Red, Spider, Out of Control, and the Crazy Makis.

Love this place! We always get takeout and staff is super friendly; food comes hot and is always good. General Tso’s chicken, house fried rice, wonton soup, chicken sticks, beef and vegetables and crab rangoons are all amazing!

Ok 2−½ stars. We ordered general Tao chicken white meat. Strips of chicken in a light batter and fried crispy. The sauce was too sweet and gooey. Lacked any heat. The ginger chicken with string beans should have been called string beans w a little chicken. The dish was good when it came out but became mushy from all the extra sauce. Someone needs a lighter hand, the spice level was only mild.

My wife and I have been coming here for a couple years now. Not being a fan of Americanized Chinese food I love this place and order off the«authentic» selections almost exclusively. My wife is more on the Americanized side and swears by their food but especially loves their wings. Jenny always greets us and treats us like family and will even have the kitchen make something special for me if I don’t know what I’m in the mood for. Her sushi is excellent and portions are generous. I think we have got to a point of getting at least takeout once a week. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the area.

Overpriced and underwhelming. I’ve eaten here once again before and thought it was OK. I ordered take out this time(coconut chicken and boneless ribs). It was awful. The shrimp was over battered and under cooked. The ribs were all fat. Also, lunch portions at dinner prices.

Best Chinese food in South Nashua by far. I have only ate in once or twice there but I do take out regularly. It’s always ready when I get there and they remember me by now! I always switch it up and nothing I have every gotten has been bad. It’s true Chinese food, good spice and the sushi is good too!

Ordered on Xmas eve. Place was busy enough but food was quick for take out. Very typical Chinese food. Nothing stood out. Got home and we didn’t get duck sauce. Not the same without duck sauce. Not sure if they forgot or we need to order it as an extra. The three stars are for the size of the steamed dumplings which were good. Staff was also very nice to talk to.

I love reading the jerks that dis this place. They clearly have mental problems. This is the best that it gets in New Hampshire. Understand, this is not the crap American style Chinese food that takes 10 minutes to deliver to your door while your Cheech and Chong marathon is playing. If you want that, go somewhere else. This is authentic Sichuan Chinese cuisine. If you like spicy, you gon’ get spicy. So dont be a 鬼佬. Order something from the authentic Chinese menu and experience something new and wonderful. The hostess and staff are very friendly. They understand english, the problem is you probably dont understand what you are ordering. Dont mistake what this place is, it’s not a crap take out, its a sit down restaurant specializing in real chinese food. So if you want egg foo yung, or General Cow’s chicken, go to the mall food court. This place is awesome and I highly recommend it!

We needed an extra plate for our dinner and we watched the waitress grab it off of the dirty table next to us… The tea tree mushroom hot pot was burnt(the reason why we needed an extra plate) ! When we expressed our dislike we were told it was«authentic Chinese». My chicken was full of ligaments and tendons, when I expressed my dislike with this we were once again told it was traditional. After speaking with the manager we were offered 20% off for our uneaten, burnt«food». I would like to note that the staff is extremely cordial and welcoming. I was a regular for about 3 months but after this debacle and my last experience there, I will no longer be eating there.

I would have liked to give this Chinese restaurant a 4, it was clean and the food was good. The meat was very good but was so salty I burnt my tongue. I was wondering if it was the way it was supposed to be cooked but by the end I concluded that it was just far too much salt or something. I didn’t have time to send it back, but probably should have.

I stopped in today for a late lunch. I was happy to see they offer lunch specials on a sunday and I got the ginger chicken with string beans, pork fried rice, crab rangoon and wonton soup. The food was very good and the portion size was perfect. The service was sufficient but not friendly. Under $ 20 for two for lunch, I’ll be back!

Terrible. I ordered delivery and it took 2 hours to arrive. When it finally arrived my food was cold and our orange chicken had No chicken. They over charged us then the delivery driver wanted a tip! A tip! After waiting two hours for our food

I’m giving this restaurant two stars because I liked the hot and sour soup and the crab rangoon. The ambiance was poor… lumpy, vinyl-covered benches and worn carpets were the least of it. For the entire 30 minutes that I was in the joint, I was in a tug-o-war for my food with the flies. The flies won, but only because I had no desire to finish my sub-par chicken with garlic sauce. I took a chance on this place based on the positive internet reviews… and quickly learned my lesson to never go to a «fusion» Japanese restaurant for Chinese food. I was also the only customer in there at noon. Never a good sign. Here’s the thing okay… a good stir fry recipe with wonderfully bright veggies and fresh chicken does not need to be cooked in a gallon of oil. On a hibachi, the oil dissipates in an impressive way for the audience, but in a wok it just pools there and what you end up with is chicken swimming for dear life in a pool of greasy, tasteless fat. Oh yeah, and if you mark an item on the menu as spicy… remember that spicy and salty are not the same thing. In the end, my meal didn’t completely go to waste, however, because the flies loved it. I think that next time the craving strikes me, I’ll stick to Chinese food from a Chinese restaurant.

If I could vote for just the food, I might give 4 – 5 stars. But the price for one entrée was $ 15 — and there wasn’t even any rice included. Steamed white rice is *obligatory* with every Chinese food entrée. And for $ 15 it should be a lot of rice. The egg rolls were crispy and flavorful, without being greasy. The crispy sesame beef was wonderful — just the right about of sweet and spicy. It’s a shame the price was way too high and there was no rice. I’m not sure I’ll order from here again.

Shanghai Osaka is one of the best authentic Chinese restaurant in Nashua. It’s kind of a hidden gem as it’s not visible from the Daniel Webster Highway. Despite the blizzard, my family decided to venture out for some Chinese food. After entering the restaurant, we were admiring the beautiful floral oil and acrylic paintings hanging along the wall and green plants in the center of the dining room to separate the tables. I started the evening with a House Mai Tai, which was garnished with a lime wedge, orange wedge, and cherry. It was fruity but strong. I don’t think it was mixed very well as the more you drank the cocktail, the stronger and bitter it was. For dinner, We ordered four dishes to share amongst ourselves. We ordered the following: (1) Triple Delight, which was delicious and flavorful! It was tender cuts of meat(shrimp, chicken, beef) mixed with broccoli, snow peas, carrots, baby corn, and mushroom in a sweet, brown sauce. (2) Fish Fillet with Black Mushroom, and Snow Peas in Homemade Wine Sauce, which was delicious and light(in a good way)! The dish was decorated with thinly sliced oranges. The fish was fresh and did not have a fishy taste. The sauce was not as sweet as last but more garlicky than last time. (3) Stir fried Mustard Greens, Edamame, and Chicken(instead of pork), which was salty. (4) Sauteed Baby Bok Choy in Homemade Pumpkin Sauce, which was light, sweet and savory. The sauce had the right touch of pumpkin. This was my favorite dish of the night. I’m glad I tried something new last night.

Shanghai Osaka is the perfect blend of charm and the whole Asian cocktail lounge experience. The food is delicious and the service is delightful. Takeout/delivery and in-house dining are both excellent.

We drove here for take out based on all the good reviews. While the food was edible, I was not impressed. Lo mein tasted burnt. Boneless spare ribs are very thin, stringy, and fatty. Egg rolls had a great flavor but there wasn’t much inside, more egg roll wrap. Will not be going back.

Came here based on a recommendation of one of my fellow Unilocal peers, and I am so glad I did. I had seen this place a million times and never thought twice about it. I will highlight what the standouts were: First off service is dead on, very attentive and super friendly. Next, the food comes out fast and is super fresh. The hot and sour soup was really good and reasonably priced. The General tao’s with white meat was amazing perfectly prepared and was so tasty. The know out for the night tho was the Out of Control Maki, it was stunning, one of the best rolls I have ever had! Honorable mention would be the Kings Maki which was very fresh and beautifully plated. This is how I will summarize this place, if you have been going to some of the local spots that you always hit, try this place you will be super impressed!

Definitely worth checking out! Shanghai Osaka opened last week in the former Formosa Taipei II location at Sun Plaza serving Chinese and Japanese cuisine. This restaurant grand opening was delayed by almost two weeks(July 27th-I tried going here, but the renovations were still taking place with old buffet tables sitting outside), but I’m very happy to see it now open. The dining room was remodeled nicely and the place still has a small cocktail bar and sushi bar. They offer Chinese and Japanese luncheon specials until 3PM daily(except holidays) when most entrees on the come with choice of soup, choice of rice(white, brown, or pork fried rice), choice of appetizer(Chinese), and salad(Japanese). Lunch entrees are under $ 10 and most dinner entrees $ 10.50-$ 22.95. I stopped here for lunch takeout with a couple minutes to spare before 3PM. I ordered the Shrimp with Eggplant Luncheon Special($ 7.50 plus tax) with hot & sour soup, 2 crab rangoons, and pork fried rice. The lady who took my order chatted with me for a few moments and the food was all set to go in under 10 minutes. The Shrimp with Eggplant dish had several tender jumbo shrimp with soft Chinese eggplant slices, scallions, and a delicious garlic sauce. The hot & sour soup was mild spicy which had plenty of bamboo, roots, tofu, mushrooms, pepper, pork, and eggs. The pork fried rice tasted fresh which had egg, peas, carrot, & small tender roast pork pieces. The crab rangoons were fantastic, cream cheese/crab mixture stuffed in a folded crisp pockets, not greasy nor brittle. They nailed everything I ordered! The portion of food was the right size for lunch and was not piled/loaded(multiple meals) like at most Chinese restaurants I’ve been to, quantity over quality in many cases. The food I had was excellent, quality over quantity here. Definitely will be back!
