The main cafeteria on the medical center campus. Plenty of options: salad bar, Chinese, baja fresh, burgers, pizza. Nothing outstanding, I’d say think of your high school lunch and take off 2 letter grades (my h.s. lunch was the bomb).

$ 1 for a hamburger.
$ 1 for a handful of fries.
They’ve probably been sitting under a heat lamp for a few hours and they were probably «cooked» in a microwave. This is a hospital cafeteria, after all.
The tables were not routinely cleaned, but they probably lack the staff to do so during the lunch rush. There were lots of tables. And outside seating.
Was here on a Sunday and saw several students get their cheap eats to take back with them to their dorms. Even when my tuition at Cal was $ 750 /​semester, I still could have easily eaten at a place like this.
