Nothing special about this place. Free wifi but no outlets. Coffee is just as mediocre as Starbucks.

Simple menu. Modern, clean and crisp ambience. Coffee done right for purists. Highlight was the house made sugar syrup they keep instead of regular sugar or artificial sweetners. That added excellence to coffee.

Really, REALLY good coffee. Everything else was kind of too hip for me. There are very limited drink selections to go with their minimalist/purist approach. I felt their commitment to this ‘old school’ way of doing things was laudable but at the expense of the customer’s wants. The staff, however, was super helpful and again, really one of the best black iced coffees I’ve ever had. I’m deducting one star ONLY for the fact that I felt like they were trying too hard to be cool at the expense of me wanting a fancy, clever latte.

Initial impression: White, almost sterile interior Very limited drink options Uncomfortable and inflexible seating(the tables are bolted to the floor) Quiet Very small food selection Very friendly baristas Coffee: The coffee was good, nothing to write home about but nothing was wrong with it. I had a seasonal drink with soda, espresso, and rosemary. It was good but lacking the oomph factor. I have had other soda coffees and they had more flavor and depth. The coffee with milk(latte) was decent. Again, nothing special. They also closed at 5, which was very strange. This is not a place I would study at or even have a meeting. It seemed like a get in, get out kind of coffee shop. There were no outlets, uncomfortable seats, and it was so quiet you could hear everyone’s conversations. It was too sterile.

Guatemala macchiato. Roaster: Revelator. Cool-looking croissants and scones. And flowers. The interior is impeccable. Check out the ceiling. Yeah, go to Revelator. You will be glad you did.

I felt like I’d gotten kicked in the gut when I got handed a 12 ounce cup of decent coffee out of a carafe and charged 4 $. Maybe some coffee shops can charge $ 4 for a coffee, but this is not one of them.

This place is really 3.5 stars. When Unilocal? When can I give a half star review?! We swung by Revelator one Saturday after running a bunch of errands. The space is clean, the menu easy. and the muffins divine. The coffee was good, I guess, I don’t really know because I only drink decaf.(Please don’t send me hate mail!) If you live in the area, you should check it out. It seems like it would even be a good place to work. What I should mention though, which I didn’t know until recently, is that Revelator disguises itself as a small, artisan coffee shop, but really it’s a giant chain! It doesn’t totally bother me, I frequent Starbucks often, but I think people should know.

Really cool coffee shop. Great atmosphere but the coffee is $ 3.50 plus tax and no refills. And, this is not a «Venti» sized coffee rather a regular sized mug. Seriously? I mean come on, it’s coffee!

A must have any time of the day. I’m a Revelator Fan Boy in Birmingham AL and you will get the same excellent quality here in Nashville. Staff is friendly and felt genuine. If you’re lucky they have a sample table outside. I promise you will want more. Go on in and check it out. It might become your FAVORITE! Modern interior. Quiet. And plenty of seating options to work, relax, visit or chill. I paired a gluten free cookie for a lil extra treat. If you think gluten free food doesn’t taste good let this moskos bake shop cookie change your mind forever. It was a perfect mid-morning treat and a what better way to kick off your day. Ohh, and they have the best flower arrangements. I didn’t catch the local florist that they use, but did catch it was just down the street. All around great experience!

We are die-hard Revelator Birmingham fans who were in town for the weekend. Naturally, Saturday morning coffee was to be had here, no question. One notable oddity: no bike racks within site upon arrival(and no street side parking meters to serve as substitutes). This is more a community problem than Revelator’s but it would have been nice not to have to trample in the landscaping to lock up to a tree. Once inside, all the familiar and wonderful aspects of Revelator were obvious. Superb interior design. The finest ingredients. That magnificent espresso maker. Our 10oz were *almost* as good as B’hams. The gluten-free chocolate chip cookie was the star of the pastry show(and we aren’t gluten intolerant, we just like cookies for breakfast :)) The staff seemed a little green but my understanding is that they only recently opened. I’m sure with time and training this location and its staff will live up to the high bar that the B’ham location has set.

Revelator is one of my favorite Nashville coffee shops. I love going in to have a freshly brewed single-origin coffee. They use a Chemex and charge a reasonable price for a pour-over: $ 3.50. I’m not an espresso-drink enthusiast, but the ones I have had were excellent. They use a Slayer espresso machine, which is one of the best in the specialty coffee industry. Expect a simple, clean environment. Not great for large groups, but you can usually find a table for 2 – 4 people. Otherwise, bring your laptop and hang out on the bar. Best of all, the baristas are totally approachable, kind, and hospitable. Definitely stop by if you are in the Hillsboro area.

Most bland and lukewarm cup of Joe I have ever had, especially considering the ambiance of professionalism and the $ 100,000.(exaggerated but not by much) coffee machine. Blah! PLENTY of other options. VERY disappointed. I’ll bet the Milk was great though for what you pay for it… or not. Go elsewhere or stay home with Folgers. You’re welcome.

I really want to love this place. Beautiful, clean design, looks like it would be a nice place to have coffee and check email in the morning. Spent a small fortune on the tiniest cuppa and I have to say, it is the most expensive coffee and the least exciting coffee I have ever had at the same time. So bummed.

This place is new and I’m really loving it so far. We stopped in for their opening day and tried a couple of drinks. I’ve been back quite a few times since and I’ve brought a couple of people by to check it out. Their menu is smaller than most places, but I sort of like that. Next time I stop in, I’ll post a photo of it. It’s a really simple menu, coffee, tea, espresso, «espresso and milk» drinks which are basically lattes… A few flavors you can add. They have some great pastries. The setting is very clean and minimal. I like to go there by myself and sit at the bar or sit at a table to have a quick coffee with a friend. The coffees they offer are all delicious black or made as drinks. I’ve also already gone through a bag of their whole beans at home which they sell at the counter. The last time I was in, a couple of days ago, the wifi still wasn’t working yet, but that’s Comcast, not them. They’ve really been working on getting it going, but Comcast is Comcast… I wonder if I can review them on here… Anyhow, the staff are really knowledgable and friendly. They make it a point to chit chat with you if you’re sitting at the bar, if you seem receptive to that. We’re working on getting on a first name basis haha. I’m sure that will come with time. I do some sketching for my business and for a friend’s business and I’ve been doing that work there at the coffee shop. It’s a much more calm environment for me to clear my head, have a coffee and just let the art flow than I have at home. So I will be making this my sketching spot, for sure!

What a fantastic addition to the Nashville coffee scene! They know their stuff, are warm and friendly, and the space is absolutely beautiful. I love when employees are knowledgeable, but not snobby, and this place is one of the few here that fits that requirement. My espresso with milk was one of the best I’ve had in Nashville, and the pastries are great too.

Coffee: Five Stars Rumor has it that is Slayer Espresso machine cost is as much as a new car. It is also said to be the best machine in the whole wide world for extracting the most amazing flavors out of a coffee bean. Therefore, I ordered a straight espresso. It’s beautiful depth of rich flavor without the crazy bitterness amazed me. I’m one of those coffee drinkers that likes a little bit of coffee with my cream and sugar, but I enjoyed this espresso without any additions. I wish I was more versed in how to describe the coffee, but you just need to know whatever they paid for that machine it was worth it. The espresso was served with a glass carbonated water. It was a nice way to clean my palate before I headed out to take on the day. Ambience: Five Stars This coffee shop is in the top three of beautiful shops in the city. The design is minimalistic and lots of clean lines. I love the use of light hardwoods! The seating is basically one long bench with several two top tables with a chair for the outside guest. I hope that parties of one understand they need to share a table with other party of ones, otherwise the tables will be filled with half the seating unused. Parking Keep in mind that this is more of an urban location and parking is at a premium. Street parking is very difficult to come by this area, but there is a parking lot/garage behind the center in which this coffee shop is located.

An excellent addition to the Hillsboro Village neighborhood! Revelator has delicious coffee, there is a hint of sweetness to it that’s unlike most coffee I’ve had previously. The staff was extremely friendly too, happy to help. Lastly, the venue seems very hip, and the place was pretty busy for an ordinary Wednesday afternoon. I intend to come here regularly, the coffee was just too good.
