Salon 4

This was my first visit to Salon 4 and I have to say I was instantly impressed. The staff was very friendly and it was easy to book the appointment over the phone. My stylist was Jalani (sp?) and I was really happy with her. I brought a picture along to help show what kind of cut I was looking for and she did a great job of giving me the cut I was interested in, but tweaking it to help fit my face structure/​hair texture. I love it! The price was affordable (better than other area salons!), and they even gave a discount for being a first time customer. I will most definitely be using Salon 4 as my go to salon from now on.

Had a great hair color and cut from Kerry. She chose a wonderful color for my hair, and it looked amazing after she’d finished cutting and drying it. I almost didn’t believe it was my own hair!
Setting was great, and everyone was very friendly. They seem to have a variety of clients coming and going. I had my little one with me for part of the appointment, and they were very accommodating with that also.

This was my first time at Salon 4. I was in desperate need of a new style after letting my hair grow out too much, and since my previous stylist was relocated, I need to find a new one.
When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist was very nice and asked good questions to help determine my needs. She was able to schedule me for the same day for later in the evening after I got off work.
My stylist was Macky. Loved her! We probably spent a good 10 minutes talking about and looking at my hair and discussing what I wanted and what we could do. Great consultation.
After that, I got a shampoo (fabulous reclining chairs with foot rests!) Then she got busy cutting. She really took her time and seemed very precise. She was also very personable and friendly. The end result was that I loved my new haircut and I left there knowing I would go back again!
Also, I felt the price for the cut was very reasonable.

I just moved out here from Orange County, CA, and was having serious anxiety about finding a new hair salon. Especially since I was so used to California style salons, I was nervous about trying someone new. I made an appointment with Kay for chunky highlights, toned my old highlights, and a cut and dry. I had the most thorough consultation with her ever! She listened to everything I liked, disliked, and why the last salon I tried out here in the east coast didn’t hack it for me. I must say, she cut and colored my hair exactly the way I envisioned! I will definitely become a regular here with Kay until our family moves again.

I received a horrible hair cut from here. I went in and asked for layers and a couple of inches off my hair. I’m usually pretty liberal with the length since my hair is quite long, past the middle of my back. I asked for more layers which she interpreted as shorter hair length. By the middle of the cut I was praying that she would stop and had given up on explaining because it seemed like the only way she can fix it was by cutting more and more. I didn’t want to make a scene but at this point I was so angry because my hair was shoulder length by the time she was done. I’m sure not all the stylist are bad at this salon but the one that did my hair was definitely new and horrible.

I’m a HUGE Salon 4 fan. I have been going to Fred (one of the owners) since this salon opened about 15 years ago, when I was just a kid. Although I have lived in several different states and countries since that time, I still keep going back when I’m in town. I can’t discuss their ability to do radical or crazy hair cuts/​styles, since I tend to stick with more conservative styles, but I have been happy with my cuts whether my hair be long or a chin-​length bob. My hair is always much healthier and prettier after a visit to Fred. Overall, the people who work at Salon 4 are nice, the services are high quality, and the prices are reasonable. The liquor store next door to it is good, too :)
