I don’t think you can beat $ 10 for a dozen donuts and about $ 12 for 14 donuts. Donuts are so expensive nowadays, especially since people do some fancy things to them. Sunny Donuts is an old school, traditional donut shop with some classic donuts. This place has been around for a long time! Their donuts are pretty good, and for a great price. Their menu also has items like croissant/bagel sandwiches, ice cream, and even boba! The workers are really nice. I went here around 10pm with still a few selection of delicious donuts from the start of the day, and the lady was so sweet. She would giggle and smile like no other.

Decent donuts, HORRIBLE service. The lady was extremely rude for no reason at all. You’re better off going to any other donut place.

I always wonder why they have Donuts in open shelves and not covered by glass that’s unsanitary. Other than that the donuts are great.

Stopped here on the way home. The donut counter was full of options. Their donuts were fresh and very tasty! I know I will regret getting a dozen, but hey, I only eat them maybe twice a year. Man, they were really good! Guess I will have to go for a walk or two just to work those off. The lady behind the counter was very friendly. They have a bar seating area so that you may enjoy eating the donuts here. I also noticed on the way out there was a huge banner advertising they have Lox and cream cheese on a bagel. That is something I may have to come back for. I would recommend stopping by here!

Stopped by on my way to work to grab some goodies for the coworkers. Came around 10:00am and the counters were FULLYSTOCKED! I previously wrote about a donut shop in Mira Mesa that was pretty much empty when I stopped by around 9:30am, was not the case here at Sunny Donuts. The ladies here are really nice and sweet and they had a huge selection of donuts. Everyone at work said they loved these donuts and they were soft and tasty. It was $ 10 for a dozen, pretty cheap! My dozen included regular glaze, strawberry sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, jelly donuts, maple bars, twists, etc. Good price for good donuts.

Great donuts and excellent service! The ladies here helped me out tremendously for a large scale Navy/community event! I will be going to them for all of my ridiculous quantity if donut needs! Thank you so much!

Not sure why all of the sudden changes but this place has gone down hill and rolling fast. This used to be my favorite doughnut shop but on my last few visits I noticed they never have the fluffy kreme filled donuts anymore. I haven’t been able to eat one of those donuts since summer of 2012 that I can remember – mind you I have a super power recollection of both time and space which means it has been a year and evidence they no longer make those types of donuts anymore. They must be under new management because the donuts on my last visit were so tiny the diameter reminded me of the size of a normal sized baseball. Miniature sized even though I had bought the full price donuts and not the donut holes. They no longer give napkins anymore either, and there is nothing worse than having sugary fingers while driving. Now I know not to bother going out of my way to Sunny anymore. Too bad because this was by far my favorite doughnut shop for nearly 13 years.

I like donut, but unfortunately donuts do not like me because they have a tendency to add to my waist line. Sunny donuts around town has been making good donuts for a long time now. At this location I had a twist covered in chocolate for .75 cents.( ) The donut was pretty good. I like the way the exterior chocolate sauce creates a nice crust. The inside was pretty moist, but a little on the bread side rather than that nice chewy doughy consistency.( ) But decent nevertheless. I good donut over all. They make a significant variety of donuts here that there should be at least for everyones’ liking.( ) The ladies who were working here nice and had a good sense of humor.

Love the glazed twists/donuts! Good prices, fast service. I’m usually out of there with my order in less than 45 seconds. They are always making fresh donuts. Also, they are open 24⁄7. Friendly staff too. I go about twice a week, usually late at night when I’m riding around & want a late snack. –Brandon Field

I have eaten donuts from this place several times and must say that nothing really stands out in comparison to the other donut shops Ive visited. The selection is typical but they did have what they call a ‘Bavarian Crème’ that caught my attention. Basically its similar to a chocolate éclair but instead of being covered in chocolate, its topped off with powered sugar and has a sweet cream filling inside. They have become one of my favs here. The only major issue I have with this place is that theres always a group of bums, drunks, and junkies lurking around the parking lot in the early morning hours. Safe to say that this isnt the best donut shop in San Diego but Sunny Donuts in National City arent bad and the service is satisfactory. If I could only get my Bavarian Crème pastry in the morning without being hit up in the parking lot for spare change or an extra cigarette life would be grand at Sunny Donuts!

Worst coffee ever. Worse than eating actual coffee grounds. Worse than drinking liquid secretions from the glands of a skunk. At Sunny Donuts, this horrible beverage comes in a small styrofoam cup with one of those wretched lids that spills most of the liquid before you even get a chance to taste its pestilence. Pay the dollar more for a decent cuppa at the Living Room.
