Stopped for real breakfast on the way south on Rt. 11. Had a wonderful breakfast of eggs, creamy grits, apples and toast. Coffee great, service attentive, friendly and fun. Place is so clean it squeaks. So retro inside you can’t help but smile. Will be back for certain.

I give it a four star as far as diners go. The burgers were very good, rotisserie chicken yummy. The only thing holding it back from 5 star diner is the cleanliness. Staff friendly and efficient.

Stopped here on the way back from Gatlinburg heading to NY and with my Gluten and Dairy Allergy I have to check all places prior. Not expecting much from a Diner off the highway I placed my order and shared my allergies and request. Much to my surprise the manager came over to ensure my allergies and needs. She said they can absolutely accommodate me and made me feel very comfortable. So pleasantly surprised and pleased with the southern hospitality!

Love the food and the atmosphere of the company it always makes me happy to walk in and get to play a good old game of paceman. I would recommend you go to this restaurant out of all the others in the area. It is a unique experience that everyone must experience at some point in their life.

I adore places like this, diner style décor, food, and if you live near by more than likely everyone knows your name. The food quality wasn’t bad, it’s not a place for those watching what they eat. Has a typical diner menu, overall not bad. It’s near by the safari park, if you’re heading there this is not a bad place to stop at for lunch.

If you care about your health and diet even slightly — run away from this place. Even salad leaves were frozen and old. At least Do Not order mash potatoes it’s horrible. I would better off going to deli . 11 $ for 2 pieces of roast beef, not eatable mash potatoes, and old house salad. I would usually ask to change for something but I was scared that they spit on my new food. So oh well just wasted money and still hungry

Expect to wait a bit because there are not a lot of choices to eat in the immediate area. So waiting is like 5 minutes. There were a bit of flies in the drink area. Now I came twice one for lunch and dinner the same day. The fly and wait issue was the same. The food was hit or miss on some dishes for lunch I had the chop sirloin with macNchz & green beans. The sirloin was great, I asked for no onions but still was in there. No biggie, but it’s all in the details. I asked for lemonade splash with coke and they willingly made it for me no problem. The server at lunch was good. I tried the cotton candy & strawberry cheesecake it was really good. The other half with the bar near the restaurants looked abandoned and as if the seats looked broken. The bathroom again with flies but was pretty clean. I came back for dinner after going to another place that didn’t pan out. Ordered the grilled chops with applesauce(got cinnamon powder on the side) & mashed potatoes. Dessert was the mint chocolate chip moose track ice cream. Everything was great except the chops which were a bit dry. I could only eat one. If anything come to check out the Elvis in the window and take a snapshot by the pink Cadillac outside!

Service was slow and they even ran out of utensils! I had the chili cheese dog with chips. The dog was so salty. BF had the Elvis burger with fries and i tasted some. Fries tasted like it was fried a long time ago. Maybe they cooked fries in batches and just let it sit until served. Not crispy at all. Very soft and mushy. The burger tasted fine but after BF started eating, he realized the waitress didn’t ask him how he would like his burger cooked? I say it’s like an upgraded version of McDonald’s Big Mac. We picked to come here after a day at the Virginia safari park because of the pretty decorations. However it was disappointing that humpty dumpty and King Kong was no longer there. The pink diner and pink Cadillac outside were still cute enough to attract customers in my opinion.

I make sure we hit this little gem on our trips to NC and back to NY. Friendly waitresses. Get a burger they are patted fresh daily. Coleslaw is good too. Kids meals come with ice cream. Make the kids share. Lol. It’s clean and fast. Nothing fancy, but it’s not pricey. I give it 5 for the burgers and service.

So I am a little disappointed because I can’t get breakfast at a diner at 11:15 am but Virginia’s Elvis land you don’t get too shook up. They have 9.00 ¼ hot dogs, bunch of themed burgers, blt, rueben, and entrees like Chopped steak, country fried steak, ?? fish & chips, fried clams ?? and an assortment of standard fare. Why the question marks, by the seafood, well I just spent 3 weeks on southern New England and ate some amazing seafood, not ready to settle yet. The hot dog, the chopped sirloin and country fried steak were all just fine. Nothing to rave about, but the waitresses are nice, the place is clean and the service is quick. Of course if you are an Elvis fan it is a must stop. No fried pickles or peanut butter and banana sandwiches but lots of pictures and Elvis stuff. Hubbahubbaheebahubba :-)

3rd time here. A step back in time with 50’s décor on the walls. Food was typical diner food and the kids got a free ice cream cone! Probably be back again when in the area.

Our family spent the day at the Safari right down the road from the diner so we stopped by for a late lunch early dinner my kids like to call«linner». First things first the restaurant was HOT. It’s an old building and I’m going to guess that they don’t have central ac. Next service. I was decent and what you would expect from any diner type restaurant. Food: it was pretty good. We had sweet tea which was very good and freshly made. Started with a order of chili cheese fries which were delicious. My daughter and son both got kids meals which included a drink meal and ice cream for 6 bucks. My daughters nuggets were fresh and reminded me of McDonald’s nuggets and she got them with a bowl of applesauce and finished her meal with a scoop of rainbow sherbet. My son got a burger with all the fixings and baked beans. He said it was really good and finished with mint moose tracks ice cream. My husband and I both got different types of hotdogs. I had the chili slaw dog and he had the chili cheese dog and we both had baked beans for the side. He had a bowl of vanilla ice cream To go. Both were great. Last but not least is price. I give it a thumbs up. Our check totaled up to 36 and some change. So you can’t beat that.

Awful! Stopped on Mothers Day and had the special– quiche. flat, tasteless and NOT a homemade nor cooked crust. The salads were just OK. Burger greasy. Water was nasty, even with lemon. Service was good but it has really gone downhill since we used to take my son and his buddies from VMI. Except for the photo op and cute ambiance, this definitely should be missed.

We love diners and always look for local places when we travel. Food is typical diner fare: burgers and fries. Not much on the menu for vegans but I didn’t expect much. Fryer was down so hubby had to get chips instead. He had the turkey club said it was good bit nothing to write home about. I had a salad which was mostly iceberg lettuce and tomatos. It was fresh and tasted ok. We both had pie cherry and coconut cream. They were good. it was a good lunch and the staff was friendly. The décor is great and the best part of the place.

Other reviews hyped this place up, its ok at best & that’s being nice. I’m not sure if they were short handed when we first walked in & had to call in extra help but we were told to pick our own sitting spot & they were short on menus so we had to share one at our table. We ordered 2 root beer floats & they were out of ice cream(come on really) which we weren’t told until they brought out just the root beer basically forced to keep it. The décor is what makes this place, that’s for sure but it still lacks(others have touched on no music, that’s part of the appeal of a diner). I overhead several orders not belonging to them but again this might be from the lack of servers when we walked in. One of the people I was with ordered a house salad, it was just blah. Somebody else ordered a «Chicago» style dog… Basically I’m going to stop writing because when you are hungry you will eat anything & everything. Also this place looks way different than some of the pictures posted.

I love Diners. The stuff you have on the walls the better. And this place does not disappoint. It’s hard to miss — bright pink exterior with a ten-foot King Kong outside crushing airplanes. You walk in and it’s your grandparents teen years all over the walls — Marilyn Monroe, Steve McQueen, Vivian Leigh, Clark Gable, and James Dean are all over the wall. There is an Elvis Presley Room, with a 7 foot tall statue of the King and pictures all over the place. The soundtrack is decidedly from the 1950s. This place is worth visiting for the atmosphere alone. The food is your classic Diner food groups — Burgers, Fries, Meatloaf, Milk Shakes. You know what you’re getting if you’ve ever been to a Diner before. The food was Diner delicious. I ordered the Elvis Burger — two patties with all the fixins’ and fries — for only $ 6. It’s comfort food and was well prepared. It’s worth the drive to check it out. I recommend the Elvis Burger and the onion rings.
