I have been going to this lovely spa for 2 years. First let me say I have gone to several spas in Boston and by far rate the facials by Yun the best I have ever gotten. She is amazing and gives a wonderful neck shoulder and foot massage while your mask is on. I’ve had my eyelashes done here as well as massage and pedicure. Again, always leave here happy and relaxed.

I recently went for a massage at Lotus. 1) the place is clean and well appointed. 2) the masseuse was pleasant. 3) the massage had some issues. 4) I told the masseuse I wanted in between a Swedish and Deep tissue. 5) three times during the massage I had to tell her she was hurting me. 6) she was hurting my neck, my head and scratched my face with her nails. 7) the next day my face had 4 red marks and scratches and my neck was sore. 8) I complained to the owner the next day after I saw the marks on my face and my neck was sore and the owner said that wasn’t soon enough, even though I told the masseuse during the massage she was hurting me and her nails were long and sharp.

Spent some couples relaxation time here. We had the best mud baths and massages. We would highly recommend these services. We also had manicures and pedicures. Those were okay. The manicurist provided me with priceless recommendations on obtaining a long lasting manicure. I really appreciate that.

My husband and I went for a couple’s hot stone massages and mud bath and it was wonderful. Spa is calming and serene. Our masseuses Nikki and Alison were amazing. I have chronic pain and I felt like my massage was very therapeutic. I feel great the next day! Will definitely go back and would even consider membership.

Amazing! I signed up for their three month membership yesterday and today i went in for a Swedish massage. It was the best massage I have had in a long time. The atmosphere is so peaceful and welcoming and my masseuse was professional and kind. I can’t wait to go back next week. Maybe I will try a facial too!

The atmosphere is super relaxing. The front desk are helpful and are at tentative. The rooms are beautiful. I had a mud bath and then a 1 hour massage. The mud bath was very relaxing and helped loosen my muscles and helped me zen out. Jin massaged me, she was great. The pressure was perfect and her technique was the best that I’ve ever had… Thank you Jin!

Best advice arrive 15 minutes early for a facial. No time will be made up if you take too long to dress. From the reviews online I wanted to have a facial done here. I arrived 15 minutes early. Its a busy street its on and a near by train. Maybe invest in some sound barrier for the walls. The place was very up to date with accessories and layout. There are lockers that you can pick a code for your belongings. Attached to the locker room is one bathroom. And yes one separate lay out for men and women. I did not like how there was only one locker room/bathroom for women. It was not the best layout for more then one client at a time to change. The woman doing the facial did not introduce her self to me and I did not know her level of skill when entering her room. She used some slang and I don’t even think looked over the paper they had me full out beforehand. I have to say it was relaxing but by no means the best facial I’ve had especially for the price. Three times I had the warm towel wrapped around face. the extractions were not painful or long. I waited to do my response to see if I had the next day glow on my face. A little disappointed because my face looks better when I do my own English mud mask. It was clean, relaxing and rejuvenating but I would reconsider your options before going here for a facial.

I went here over the weekend with my husband. I signed up for a mani/pedi and he for a 90 minute swedish massage. Pedi: The pedi was great — really comfortable massage chairs. The woman did a nice job cleaning up me feet from a long winter and it was so appreciated! Mani: The manicure was just OK. First, I would have like to see more polish colors — some of them looked really old. Second, she kept getting polish on my skin and kept having to wipe it off. I think she shook the polish too much before we began, so there are little bubbles on my nails, which I hate. I don’t know how she could have let me walk out like that… Also, the polish is not even along the base of my nail. Massage: We had booked a 90 minute massage, but it was only 60 minutes(the masseuse claimed it was 90). In the end, they agreed to charge for 60. My husband did say that the massage was great and that he would recommend it though! All in all, I know I won’t be going back for nails, but maybe for a massage.

Came for a pedicure. The girl at the desk didn’t even greet me. When I checked in she just hung out behind the desk then left the store. I asked another girl if I was forgotten about. She then asked what I was there for. I told her a pedicure. She then said«oh I am supposed to do your pedicure». Thanks for recognizing that I was just sitting there waiting. When I was taken to the pedicure area I knew instantly that this’d icing pedicures /manni’s was not there dominant business. The area was tiny and not spa like at all. The young girl that gave me my pedi just seemed to be a beginner and handled my feet like they were made of glass. Too dainty and too hesitantly. The massage was poor, the cuticle clean up was ok, the polish work was uneven. The worst part of all of this was the poor service in the beginning. Would not come here again. would not recommend.

I had my first vist two weeks ago and was very pleased. The staff is wonderful, very gentle and accomodating. I normally do not go out of my way for spa processes yet this is a 30 minute drive and well worth it. I plan on trying all of the services.

First– Eye lash extensions. I moved from the west coast and I was a little hesitant to keep up my lash extensions that I had become very fond of for almost 7 years. I went to a spa on Newbury st in Boston thinking OK, must be good with that location. Not. They put these heavy thick lashes on that pulled out my own. I almost just came to terms with not having them anymore when a real estate agent told me about Lotus in Needham. I was thrilled at possibly finding someplace AWAY from the Boston chaos but also hesitant as lashes done wrong can be very, very scary. I took the plunge and booked an appt with Lotus and paid the $ 300. They offered a membership package which would have cut my cost by 40% but I still opted to pay the $ 300 fearing I would not be back. I saw Jin who told me she had many years of experience with lashes even owning her own business in Korea. While the salon is a bit Asian influence I hoped that they were not only used to Asian lashes as they are quite different. This put me on guard but I went ahead anyway and thank god I did! To make a long story short, she did a FABULOUS job. My lashes look very natural and I get tons of compliments on them. I have been going to her for 3 months now and I finally took the plunge and bought a membership. The membership gives you 35% off of all services with 6 months so with that I booked a facial massage with my lash fill. The facial massage was a combo of a light facial with massage including scalp, neck and shoulder and face. I was very pleased that she listened when I told her I had sensitive skin and she used a very high end non clogging product on my face and only 100% natural jojoba oil. It was probably the best facial massage I have ever had. Talk about relaxing. I hope Jin does not go anywhere as I feel so fortunate to have found her. She is amazing ladies! I generally do not write reviews on Unilocal but having lots of experience in the lash arena and high end spas such as Beverly Hills Hotel, Rodeo Drive spa’s etc I have to say that Lotus is the best one yet. I can certainly see myself turning into a spa junky now that I have the membership, booking additional services every time I go in for a lash fill.

Lotus Mind & Body Spa is amazingly unique, warm and inviting. The services offered are one of a kind. Asian influence on menu services, a private waiting room where you and your fiends can sip cucumber water or champagne on top a floating table while soaking your tired feet in a floor built– in «wading tub» is just one of unique amenities of this spa. The décor is so top notch, you will feel as though you are on an exotic island retreat. I experienced a «banana leaf wrap» for the first time and it’s a unique, invigorating yet relaxing body treatment. They even have full sized mud and milk bath tubs! You should check out their membership offers. They have three very affordable options where you can have a 3 month to a 12 month option. For $ 10 a month, you get 30% off any treatment, plus products can be included in the offer. I have never heard of such an enticing affordable offer! I can’t wait to try the full body acupuncture w/hot stone massage. If you love to be pampered in elegance, this is the place to be.
