the place is closed. dont waste your time. It says open on the app however I didn’t call to verify. Lucky for me it’s only a 10minute drive.

Tried this place for the first time today. I ordered the patacones(also called tostones). The patacones themselves were good but overloaded with so much on top. The menu does not specify what the toppings are. Here goes: Cole slaw, shredded chicken, fried potato sticks(?), mayo, ketchup, mustard, and cheese. I would like them so much better if it was more simple. All I could taste was ketchup and mayo! If I go back, I will order them with just the chicken, avocado, lettuce, and tomato. The empanadas were good but nothing special. The pork belly was tough but tasty. Mini arepas were good. The other good thing is that everything is very inexpensive.

The staff here is absolutely fabulous. They are so accommodating. You can’t go wrong with anything you decide to order. The chicarron is a must and don’t forget the garlic sauce that just makes everything better. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner you can’t go wrong here.

I created a Unilocal account just to share my experience. This place was hands down the MOSTAUTHENTIC Venezuelan restaurant I’ve eaten at. Low key environment, food cooked with passion and pride, they just don’t make them like this anymore. If this place were in a Red Bank or Westfield, the doors would BUST off the hinge. I grew up eating arepas every Sunday as a child and I thought that no one would ever compare to my moms cooking. Sorry Mom, you are old news after finding this place! Staff is very friendly and I just can’t say enough about the food. Try everything! I sure hope more people find this hidden gem.

Let me start off by saying I don’t know a single thing about Venezuelan food. Lucky for me that didn’t diminish an incredible experience. This is a great lunch place especially if you’re looking to break up the monotony of burgers and subs. It’s like a small café where you have a place to sit and enjoy. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly there is no language barrier and they’re very helpful with suggestions And can describe what is spicy or sweet to help you make the best decision. I had the Chamo sandwich which included chicken bacon lettuce tomato and an incredible sauce I have no idea what’s in it but it was delicious and I will certainly be back to get it again. When I went and I was the only customer for about 20 minutes, which I don’t understand because this place truly is a great gem Neptune. It cost eight dollars for the sandwich and a soda everything was fresh and delicious and the staff was much nicer than any fast food employee I’ve ever met. If you’re in the area make sure you stop in and help these guys stay in business because I want to go here for years to come!

Real Venezuelan food in NJ. The pabellon is really authentic. We loved the cachitos de jamon, the empanadas and arepas were delicious. Parchita and guayaba juices also were good. The owners were friendly and service was efficient. The place is small.

The best Venezuelan food ever! The service is excellent. The place is clean. The owners are super nice! What else would you need in a restaurant, but to enjoy and have a good time. I had a scrambled egg with arepa, and mouth-watering pan de queso, my husband had the bacon and egg breakfast, plus chicharon with arrepita! Oh my, what a meal! For dessert we had the Sweet Plantain with cheese and excellent café latte! We’re definitely going back for more!

Fantastic little place! And no language barrier to worry about for a white girl like me. The service was great, plenty of options for the kids plus new things for them to try, and absolutely delicious food. Especially liked the dish(forget the name) with tostones topped with pork and some type of coleslaw. Awesome.

Having lived in the area for just over a year, I have had the opportunity to sample several local restaurants but we just keep coming back to Chamo’s café. The food: if you’ve never tried an arepa, today is the day! Chamo’s specializes in these amazing stuffed sandwiches which are hot, portable, gluten free, and ready in minutes. My personal favorite is the traditional pabellon. The fries, empanadas, and other tasty Venezuelan specialties are cooked to perfection. Service: super friendly, very accommodating, always welcoming. They will make you anything you want and you will not have to spend a lot of money to get a top notch great meal.

We’ve heard about this place for some time and finally had a chance to try it out today. It was absolute delicious. My wife and sister, who are from Venezuela, raved about how authentic the food tasted. The owner and his wife were super friendly and chatted with us about Venezuela and it’s cuisine. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Venezuela food as well as anyone who wants to try something new. This will be my new goto Venezuela restaurant.

I’ve been waiting a loooooooong time for an authentic Venezuelan restaurant to open in my area. I LOVE. LOVELOVE arepas and this place doesn’t disappoint. I had the pabellon arepa(my absolute fav) and it was delicious. I can’t wait to go back and get some more! I also had a batido de parchita, which was perfect, and an empanada de pollo, also good. The owner was super friendly and gracious. I’ll be going back soon for sure!

Everything I’ve tried has been amazing, from the fish empanadas to the USA burger to the Hawaiian burger. Everything is creative and delicious and there’s about 3 times the choices that aren’t even on the menu. I had a car accident so I’m stuck at home and I really, really, miss their food! I’ll be back soon!

Food is really good! I had the Cachapas which were very tasty. Also the arepas were good, although the Reina Pepiada should have a bit more avocado in my opinion! Also tried the Patacon with Shredded Beef! Which was delicious! The owners are super for sly, charming, very kind and attentive! I will definitely come back!
