There’s nothing I hate more than shopping at Walmart. If I could, I’d totally avoid any Walmart, but with our limited income getting things cheap frees up our money to do other things and certain things are just not available at Target. So every couple months I whine to my wife and say«Do we really have to go here?» That being said, I think I’ll be going to this store from now on, because frankly, it wasn’t all that bad. Everything every other Walmart seems to do wrong, this one does right. First of all, we came here on a whim at night and this store was very unassuming. A typical Walmart has such bright lights you can see their sign from outer space. This location however, not so much. Bonus points for not wasting electricity. Inside the store is perfect. Everything is neat and fully stocked. Aisles are wide enough so they’re not blocked up by displays. Clearance items are condensed and pushed to the back of the store, not in random aisles all over the place. We found the few items we needed without even having to ask where things were. We came in a little later on Saturday night(Rock and Roll lifestyle, baby!) and when we reached the checkouts, there were two cashiers as well as the self checkouts open so we were able to get in line and out fast. The cashier was very nice. Honestly, it’s probably the first time in years at Walmart that I had too many items for the express lane, but still managed to get out of there without waiting 10 – 30 minutes to be checked out. The only thing that stops this Walmart from being a five is that it’s somewhere in between a neighborhood market and a supercenter, so the stock selection is somewhat off since it obviously wants to be a bigger Walmart. If they concentrate less on food(which all Walmarts suck at, worse grocery departments ever) and more on general merchandise, they’d be golden. Walmart needs to have all their Milwaukee area managers come here to be properly trained by this store manager, because it’s obvious he or she is the only one who knows what they’re doing.

If I have to go to a Walmart, I would rather drive to this one than go to the one by my house. This store is always very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. A totally different feeling than the other Walmart stores. Service desk was very friendly too. Parking lot is not great but by far better than other locations too. It’s worth driving down the road a bit for a better experience.

For Walmart I am giving this 4 stars. In general I am not that big of a fan of Walmart, but this is pretty much as good as it gets. For Walmart employees, the employees here are quite friendly, the lines are not long, and the store is pretty tidy.
