I happened to find myself here after stopping at Château Sew and Sew in search for an embroidable gift(is that a word? A gift that is able to be embroidered). Anyway, I stopped in since this place is right next door and they have a little bit of everything here. I stopped in on Black Friday and they were having a nice little sidewalk sale with a few dresses discounted. It was mainly day dresses and casual things, nothing fancy, so that was right up my alley, I stepped in and found a really cute little shop. I was taken aback by all of the nice travel bags that they had for sale– they had a nice assortment. One of the best finds in the whole store is the assortment of vintage records they have! First of all, the collection is HUGE and covers all genres. I’ll be the first to admit that I am not really a record person, but I will be definitely directing my music loving record collecting friends to this secret music spot. The owner of the store was really nice and friendly and she even offered me champagne while I shopped. I really liked this cute little shop and I loved that everything is made locally. I will definitely be adding this place to my list when trying to figure out what types of Christmas presents to get friends this year.

Patti and her team at Tchoup Industries have created some very beautiful products. I am a convert. Currently I use on a daily basis a tchoup wallet(no longer made: should have got em when they were around), a happy hour key chain(always find your car keys and be able to open an adult beverage), my nifty fanny pack/Batman utility pack, and the Roulez back pack in hipster black to try and hide my age. Housed inside the shop you also have the beautiful bags of Dvra and the snappy tunes of Disko Obscura. Go Now…

I love Tchoup Industries! I keep an eye on their new products to see what I can don next. I have a few bags but one roll top that I use every day. It is handmade and after over two years it is still in great shape. It is a backpack I will have for a long time. When I travel with it, people ask where it is from and it makes me happy to talk about New Orleans. Great shop! A must stop!

I was lucky enough to win a gift basket from this newly opened cool little shop. I am so happy with my bags… a papaya pouch: : And a black mini flap pack: I’ll start with the papaya pouch. Made by a company named DVRA, housed in the same space as Tchoup, these purses, pouches and now even baby clothes are made of very high quality materials and are all brightly colored with tropical fruits. It is a joy to use and I find myself looking for reasons to take it everywhere. I really wish I had them all. They are all so pretty. The Tchoup bag, a mini flap bag is made of a high quality water repellent material and it’s come in very handy on a recent road trip to the Grand Canyon. It’s sturdy and handsome looking and I really like it a lot. While picking up the basket I was able to walk around the shop and admire all of the bags and great New Orleans accessories. Everything is locally made and just a lot of fun. Definitely go out and support this great local business!
