Applebee’s

Great food! Steak and eggs. Sweet potatoes were delicious! That was the best meal I’ve ever had at an Applebee’s. The hostess when we came in just stood there for 45 seconds and didn’t say welcome or anything, I guess she was just in deep thought.

This place is awful. I’ve visited it about once a year for the last 5 – 6 years and always have a bad experience. Last night was my once a year visit and it was the worst one yet.
My sister and I sat at the bar and had to waited a few minutes to be acknowledged, once the bartender Alexa or Alexis (Whatever her name was) finally came over I wasn’t offered a menu and had to ask for one. We immediately placed an order for 2 small appetizers and a shrimp salad. The appetizers took about 20 minutes and during that time the bartender never asked if we were OK. Fast forward to 40 minutes and still no salad. We asked the bartender to find out the status, she said it would be out in a few minutes and explained that it «takes a long time to cook»… we asked how a salad took a long time to cook and she blamed it on the shrimp. Apparently she doesn’t know how to cook because shrimp cooks in under 5 minutes.
50 minutes later we still had no salad, we asked for the food to go and to speak to a manager. While we’re waiting for the manager the bartender is complaining to the other members of the bar staff that we’re upset that a salad has taken 50 minutes to make and that my food has to be taken to go. Finally after 55 minutes the food and the manager come over. The manager offers a piss poor excuse of an apology stating that the tickets weren’t being printed in the kitchen, yet half our food arrived? And that means the bartender lied about the shrimp taking a loooong time to cook. Even though the manager was less than professional he took the salad off of our bill and began to leave.
As we left our seats the bartender made a snide, unprofessional comment to my sister. IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS. She was rude and confrontational. My response was to tell her that her behavior is unprofessional, rude and trashy and next time a customer is upset maybe she should care. After we left I threw my salad into the trash, no way was I going to eat food from these people. My sister called to speak to the manager about the comment from the bartender, it was a different manager and hopefully one that actually reprimands the employee… if it was even a manager at all. The bartender answered the phone and passed it off to the «manager» after repeatedly being confrontational over the phone, she knew exactly who was calling.
I’ll never visit this Applebee’s again, the location should be ashamed and Applebee’s corporate should be embarrassed.

30 mins to wait and about 20 to actually get something to drink. I have been sitting here an hour waiting for food and nothing. I can see why some lady tried to leave without paying. This place is slow and just messy. Just walk down to Texas Roadhouse down the block

I frequent New Roc but it’s usually just for the movie theater. The boyfriend had a craving for B-​Dubbz so we made the trip out here pretty late. It was a Saturday and their was a UFC fight on so getting a table there was hopeless. We settled for Applebee’s and I was super disappointed. He was happy with his food but I wasn’t.
I ordered the wonton tacos as an app, 4 cheese mac and cheese with honey chicken tenders for my entrée, and even hoped that dessert would save the day so I ordered my favorite thing in the world. Brownies a la mode.
The wonton taco’s were not bad. My mac and cheese was such a disappointed. There was no cheese! It was basically macaroni and chicken in a light honey sauce.
The worse part of all was how bad the service was. We waited about 2 minutes for a table but our waitress definitely showed how much she hates her job that night. She brought out certain items at different times, just left them on the table and didn’t inform us about where the other stuff was.
I would avoid this location at all cost.

I’m giving this place a to is that our waitress was great with us. As for the rest of place I was really disappointed I was born and raised in New Rochelle and I remember when this place opened up, and it’s quite disappointed to see how terrible the place has become. I remember when you were able to get hot food at Applebee’s in New Rochelle the food was absolutely horrible cold the place was dirty and my kid got sick after eating there. I will never go back to this place ever again it seems that the people that work there do not have good customer service I told him out of here is that the pizza bread that we ordered for the kids were very bad the sauce tasted like it was going bad and burnt and it was ignored very bad. Stay away from this place not a good idea if you want to get good food BWW or Texas Steakhouse

It’s close to Residence Inn. It’s actually right outside the door. I usually do t eat Applebee’s at home. Nothing bad about it. Just the other choices/​places to go to.

I’ve been to great Applebee’s and enjoy them, however, the one in new Rochelle is terrible. They never have what you want to order (common things like mozzarella sticks), and the waiters seem to forget about you. Always get your order wrong and food comes out terrible or cold. Spare you time and appetite and go elsewhere.

Terrible!!!, 40-​minutes no server, celery sticks were dried. Salad no dressing. Sever only took food order and never returned to check on service or if we wanted anything else. Seems like the restaurant needs an overhaul. I would had prefer not to give a star. Stay away.

It’s fine. It’s Applebee’s. Set appropriate expectations!
Sat at the bar with my work husband and ordered beer and appetizers. Bartender was pleasant and efficient. Appetizers were on «happy hour» special, so they were half price. Chicken quesadillas, pretzels and chicken wontons were shared. Everything was fine. Not my ideal meal, but we had to be on a conference call and had a late-​ish lunch.
Beer was a perfect pour and just the right temperature. Tip your bartender generously.

What a mess. The second I sat down some random waiter came up to us with somebody else’s entire meal. This repeated several times throughout the meal. When our waiter walked up, everything seemed pretty normal as we gave her our order until her friend came over and they bickered and bickered while me and my tablemates were just watching… And waiting… When they finally stopped, our original waiter was gone and her friend took our order. After that, it was fine, except for slow service, and in the end my food wasn’t even that good.. in conclusion, this was definitely two stars

This place really isn’t great. The service was really confused and they changed waitresses halfway through. It took about 25 minutes to get my glass of wine. However they were friendly. The nachos we ordered came out to spicy and kind of gross. And my salmon wasn’t particularly good either. At least two times waitstaff try to bring the wrong meal to our table.

The food was not good… by the time we got our food it was cold… and my friend had hair her in food… the food was disgusting… one olace i would not recommend. … they were good before but now not a place i would recommend

We go back at least once a week for a date night — we sit at the bar, have a few drinks and some half priced apps, and have a GREAT night. We have yet to be disappointed in the service, the quality of the food, and the prices. Out of the last 10 times we have visited, we haave been happy 10 times.
I also went once with my kids and my sister for fun after a movie, and the food at the table was SO GOOD. My sister had never been, and even she was surprised at how good everything was. Our kids loved interacting with the wait staff, who I must say were all VERY polite even though we may have been annoying.
Also, FREE WIFI.

Let me start by saying that Applebee’s is one of my favorite chain restaurants to dine or drink at. So visiting New Roc City, I was naturally delighted to have the opportunity to eat a late dinner here before a night of bowling and arcade games in the establishment next door.
Unfortunately, this was literally the worst restaurant experience of my life. I don’t even know where to start. We walk in and wait for about 10 – 15 minutes, which wasn’t particularly bothersome.
Once we get placed at possibly the worst table in the establishment, we are greeted by a waitress who at first glance seemed somewhat friendly, but I couldn’t help but notice a sense of narcissism and in my opinion, she was very condescending. We place drink orders, and by the time they arrived at the table, we were MORE than ready to place our orders. So we place our orders, and this was by far the longest I have ever waited for meal at a sit down restaurant.
The appetizers come out about 30 minutes after our order, which consisted of 4 mozzarella sticks, and 5 boneless buffalo wings placed on a small plate. I’m not one to really complain about food portions, but this was just a complete and utter joke. As someone who has gone to Applebee’s somewhat religiously over the past few years, predominantly in the NYC region, I have never been served less than 7 – 9 mozzarella sticks and a 10+ wings as appetizers. I understand that cutting costs is essential to any business, but this was just a mockery.
The appetizers are finished within about 47 seconds between the five of us, and the entrees come out probably an hour later. I ordered the Three Cheese Chicken Penne, which looked decent enough. My girlfriend ordered a chicken/​shrimp dish, which was actually pretty solid as well. The order of chicken tenders and fries that came out were just downright embarrassing though. I could make a better meal with my eyes closed.
They forgot the garlic bread with my entrée though, so I politely asked for the garlic bread. The waitress brought the garlic bread no less than 10 minutes later… just a piece of bread with no garlic on it whatsoever! My girlfriend also asked for sour cream on the side of her entrée, and had to be reminded. It never made it to the table, and we didn’t even see the waitress for the remainder of the meal. It’s not a good sign when you see the busboy more than you see your waitress.
I could go on and on about this experience, but at this point, time is money which I can’t afford to waste any longer, despite my obvious desire to become an activist through Unilocal reviews. (eek!)
So yeah, just don’t go here. Better off going to the Pizza Hut down the block if you are taking a trip up to New Rochelle and saving the money to blow on the overpriced bowling alley next door :)

I went here recently and I thought the service wasn’t up to par with other Applebee’s locations I’ve been to. The food came cold and the second time around it wasn’t as good as the cold food which was disappointing so rather then order again and risk annoying the staff I just ate the not so good food and called it a day .
I tried the wings and had the Asian flavor they offer and it was really good I cannot complain much about that. There happy hour deals are a splendid delight and are very strong.

Found myself in New Rochelle, decided to grab a quick bite here since it was across the street from the parking garage. Would have loved to hit up the BWW next door, but I had already eaten at one a few days ago and figured for the sake of my health I should resist.
Grabbed a seat at the bar and was immediately skeeved out a little. Both the bar and the menus seemed to be covered in a film of grease. Bar tender was quick to take drink orders.
The back of the menu had a lunch menu where you could pick two items for a fixed price. A lot of the choices were healthier and sounded pretty good– but when the bar tender came up to take our order and saw we were on that page, informed us that they don’t do the lunch menu at lunch on weekends… make sense.
There was another option for 2 entrees and an app (or two side salads) for $ 20, so we went with that. I begrudgingly got the halibut since it was the only one even remotely close to being under 1000 calories.
I don’t get the pricing at this place at all. The same entrée I got for $ 10 (plus a starter) was listed in another section on the menu for $ 15. It was really frustrating because I would have really liked to get a different entrée but $ 15 for a small Applebees meal at lunch seemed just too expensive so I felt pigeonholed to the fixed price menu (especially considering the lunch menu was not being served at 2pm on a Saturday).
The halibut was about what you would expect at an Applebees. Actually, it was surprisingly more edible than I expected and an added bonus was I did not get food poisoning which I thought I was almost a guarantee after this experience.
Despite there being only 2 other people at the bar at this point, it took forever for the bar tender to even ask if we needed anything else or wanted our plates cleared (which had been sitting finished for quite some time).
Do yourself a favor and go to the BWW next door. If I find myself in the same spot again I sure will.

This is the worst Applebee’s I’ve ever been to. The food was terrible, and I’m pretty easy to satisfy. I don’t have high expectations for franchise restaurants, but this place is clearly missing the mark. Waiter was nice, but over the top and wouldn’t bring us the bill after our meal was over.
Will not return.

Worst customer service ever! I tried the place twice and twice I have been EXTREMELY dissapointed. The first time, my sister and I ordered a shrimp plate and it took almost an hour for our food to arrive (maybe they went to sea to get our shrimps). Then, when our food arrives, we run out of water and ask for more. It takes another 10 minutes for it to get to our table (we all know how rare water is). Finally, when it is time to pay, we both give our credit cards to share the bill. The waiter gives us back our cards and we signed the receipt and left. Surprise surprise! I looked in my credit card account and I was charged for the whole thing. Apparently, I ate with myself that day. I must have imagined my sister my whole life.
The second time I tried this Applebees, my plate took 30 minutes to arrive. The rice was dry and the seafood tasted as if a previous customer didn’t want it, so they kept it in a hot place for a long time somewherein the kitchen and then I placed the order.
To add insult to injury, there was no sauce on the rice (I knew because I ordered the same dish at another location). I asked the waiter and he dissapeared for 15 minutes. When he came back, he told me that they ran out of the sauce (how about letting the customer know BEFORE she passes the order?).
The service is a joke and the food looks like it could be given to a dog and it wouldn’t want it

After loving our newly opened Bronx Applebee’s I figured I’d give the New Rochelle one a second chance. Went in to check out their lunch combos with combinations of two soups, salads, sandwiches or entrees from $ 6.99 to 8.99 each.
I will say up front that it is a good deal as far as portions for that price. My partner selected the basil tomato soup that was good, not great. Also he chose the classic Turkey Breast sandwich that was also decent.
My choice had a few technical problems. My soup of the day, Chili, had way, way too much cheese, raw onions and jalapeños atop. By the time I took all of it off there was less then ½ the chili to eat! The cook was way too heavy handed with the toppings making the chili less appetizing. Less is more kids! Plus the calorie count was probably incorrect at that point.
Moving on to my Fiesta Chicken Chopped salad, it was good, buttttt a few of the ingredients were lacking, such as the tortilla strips and chimichurri chicken, I had maybe one or two prices of each. Yet the salad was loaded with lettuce, onions, cheddar, and black bean corn salsa and red peppers. Also, I don’t think the spicy jalapeño dressing was on it either!
Also, it took too long for our orders to come even though it was very empty. Our waitress «Sam» was nice but mostly MIA, never coming over to ask us if we needed refills, dessert, etc
The manager David never came over to us to welcome us or check to see how we were doing, he just say at the bar.
This Applebee’s needs some fine tuning and maybe a new manager to equal the other Applebee’s like the new one on Lafayette avenue in the Bronx, they rock the food, service and overall dining experience!

All AppleBees menu is the same. Since it was something to hold us before the movies. We at the bar and went with the sampler from the appetizers.
The bartender was great. She rushed our order and was totally friendly. Even gave us some sliders on the house to go!
