I think the cleaning is one of the important things in a good place to eat or drink, I drove here to have some drinks whit my friends last time and since you walk in you realize that is a classic sport pub, big bar, tvs everywhere, food is not bad As long is watching futbol The place, very clean place, since a walked in I could see the cleaning of the place, the men’s restroom were stunning very clean and smelled good which is difficult to see in places like that where drunks and beer are there all the time

I never come here because it’s super ratchet & always packed with underage kids that get black out drunk & want to fight everybody. Fuck the owner. Fat ass just lets in minors & is super dramatic. & another thing, they use cheap liquor on their drinks. #Lame

See Marissa below — I have had the same experience with the bartender claiming non payment THEDAYAFTER and several massive screw ups on bills(over the years) that WE never questioned and chalked up to «our fault». Seeing her post prompted me to comment as this seems like a recurring pattern for at least one of the staff. This is sad as this used to be the«go to» place in New Roc when our group would come twice a year. They lost me and anyone I am able to influence two years ago following«The day after» event and reminded me why I will not promote going here.

This place is a disgrace to New Rochelle– life long residents getting charged a $ 10 cover to get in on college night when they are feeding college kids shots of water and fake Long Island ice teas… Disgrace to New Rochelle.

Note: this review was from an event that happened in February but I just got Unilocal.I’m searching through bars in New Rochelle and remembering the treatment my friends and I received led me to write this Okay, so I went to Spectators before because I was new to the area and didn’t know where to go. The mozzarella sticks are to die for and I was happy. Sure there was a guy harassing me and kept inviting me to his hotel but I was able to take care of myself. I slipped out and ran off. So I invited my friends along with me to come there for drinks. We had fun, we drank and then it came time to pay. The bartender separated our checks all wrong but we solved the problem by pooling our money together to pay. I’d like to note we also included more than a 20% tip. The bartender gave my friend the wrong change. Now my friends and I were not sober but able to tell the bartender we got the wrong change. The bartender denied it and went along his way. My friend got angry and told him to please give us proper change. It’s not enough that we were treated poorly by the bartender but by a group of «bros» who told us we needed to calm down and we were deemed«bitches». I had enough and asked for the manager. The owner of the bar comes out and takes stock of some women in his bar and automatically sides with the bartender. I calmly explained the problem and while he made it seem like he was placating us the bartender slammed the correct change down and said«okay, fine, here» no apology, nothing. If you are a woman who enjoys being told how hysterical you’re being when you point out missing money then be my guest and go. But tonight I’m going to the bar and NOT giving my money to this place.

If you want to hang out in a sausage fest and be stared at googley eyed by a bunch of thirsty men trying to score this is definitely the place to go. If you are a nice classy girl that doesn’t want to get hit on every ten seconds go somewhere else. You won’t be comfortable here. On a busy night it feels like a fight could break out at any second. You can definitely feel the animosity as soon as you walk in.

I had the pleasure of visiting Spectators before AND after attending a wedding in New Ro(we came here between the church and reception and then after the reception). This place is totally DIVEY. It has almost no décor, but that’s really part of its charm. This is just a plain old neighborhood place to chill. It’s pretty spacious with the bar right smack in the middle, so there are plenty of seats, which I like! Also, there seems to be a very diverse bunch of patrons ranging from old men to urban folks. and everyone seems to get along. The early evening crowd is obviously a little more tame than the late night crowd. I found the service to be good — bartenders were friendly(both the older gentleman between 4 – 6 and the other bartenders from midnight on!).

Spectators is a decent local bar near my house in New Ro. It’s located on Main Street next to Town House Pizza and Restaurant and right next to New Roc Deli. It’s a decent size bar and its got a decent crowd, personally i don’t like all the clown town locals that i know going there i think they bring down the bar but what do you expect, gotta deal with it. It’s definitely a good place to watch any type of major sporting event, especially the Giants, Jets, or Yankees. Most of the fan’s/patrons that go are just as passionate and knowledgeable as you, they have also done a renovation to the bar and it’s definitely a lot classier than it used to be. The only time to avoid this place is when all the Iona College students are their, its a walking«Jersey Shore-esque» disaster, otherwise it gets my vote as a good sports pub.

This has been my watering hole since I’m a kid. Steve and Gary run a great operation and no, the crowd isn’t a weird crowd. It is a regulars bar and the kind of place you can go without knowing a sole and leaving like you just met your best friends for life. Also one of the only remaining places that knows what a buy back is.

Typical Local Sports Bar Went there during Football season. Lots of of TVs but weird Crowd looked like a bunch of random people that didn’t know each other weird for a sports bar during football season. Food Pretty good Solid hot wings and good steak sandwiches, Burgers also looked descent. Bar Big and lots of choices behind the bar and good old school bartenders.
