Hey, for $ 1.00 a slice, this is really good! This is probably the cheapest lunch in the area and sometimes it gets super busy here as well. I was hesitant until one of my coworkers showed me. Regular cheese slice is soft and chewy to my surprise. It could use more cheese but this is already tasty enough. Garlic powder, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and cilantro flakes condiments on the side; feel free to load your slice up! Of course this is not comparable to pizzeria quality but this does the job to fill you up. Make it a combo — 2 Slices and a can of soda/water for $ 2.75. If you’re on a budget, go for it!

You get what you paid for. You can’t beat the price of two slices of pizza and soda for $ 2.75. You can’t get that price anywhere anymore these days. However, I prefer to spend a couple of dollar or two more on quality pizza. This pizza reminds me of elementary school pizza and believe me, they were never that good. It’s a super small place with no seatings. The worst part was I saw roaches crawling outside. I think that turned me off the most. I guess that’s NYC for you. This place will suffice for a late drunken night to say the least.

It tasted like cheese bread. Maybe just bread since the cheese was tasteless. Sauce was tasteless too. I’ve had much better dollar pizza. Although it was open at 3 am. So thats a plus

Quick, cheap, and the perfect ratio of sauce, cheese and crust. I’m happy to live so close to this place. BONUS is when they give you the one piece that’s accidentally way bigger than the other ones. Better than all of the other similar genre locales in the neighbourhood.

I’ve lived in LES for a while now and I loved it when I initially moved it. It had a great dollar slice, friendly service, and it was quick. Unfortunately, this dumb bitch started working there recently and ruined everything about the experience. Every time I’ve gone, I’ve been appalled by her lack of customer service(I get that it is a dollar slice but if a slice gets knocked out of your hand by another customer, that wasn’t your fault and the restaurant should help out with that). On top of her lack of customer service, she tries to challenge you on your issue. I’m sorry you forgot to refill the garlic, but its not my fault when I can’t find the damn«refilled» garlic. I hope the management can address her issues and problems with customers and get back to their original awesomeness that is LESers loved!

Bet the pizza box has more flavor, but what can you expect from a 99 cent pizza slice.

Don’t listen to those negative reviews. Many compare to full up pizza joints. Remember, DOLLARPIZZA. So for dollar pizza(yes, I’ve had many) this is definitely one of the better ones. Not the best in the city, but among the top. A great stop when visiting grand central.

Good pizza, great service and excellent prices! When I went to New York I didnt expect the pizza to taste as good as the price said. As I entered the shop I was greeted with a smile and within seconds I was served. Overall amazing experience!

I was on my way to a volunteer event this afternoon. I ate a sandwich about an hour before coming here but I thought I should come here just to make sure I wouldn’t be hungry during my volunteering. I ordered one plain cheese slice. They had it ready so I got in and out. Nothing unique or special but perfectly worth $ 1.

Cheap, fast, and delicious New York style slices. Two slices and a soda for $ 2.75 can’t be beat in the city and it is worth every penny. Would recommend!

The epitome of the NYC dollar slice. It’s not the best pizza you’ll ever eat, but when I think about a New York slice, this is what I think of. Of the dollar slice places I’ve ever been, this one is by far the best. Perfect balance of crispy and chewy, with the right ratio of sauce and cheese. Hard to mess up you’d think, but lots of the dollar slice shops manage to. I love that you can get not just a slice for a dollar, but a whole pie for $ 8. This is strictly a grab-and-go type of place. Nowhere to sit, and also, you really wouldn’t want to stay. It’s a tiny storefront with nothing but a counter and a couple of guys making pizzas. But for what it is, it shines.

This took care of business for us after midnight. But it was far from the best pizza in NYC. If you have the chance to find something else that’s open late at night then you will probably be better off.

99 cent fresh pizza is probably the cheapest eats you can get around this area of midtown. You will be paying tax on your slice of pizza at 1.07 $ but well worth it. There many 99 cent pizza spots in the area but there not all the same, when I mean the not the same I mean the quality and production, and beware not all of these 99 cent pizza spots are clean I’m just saying. This is the only spot I would go to, I’ve been coming to this place before they started opening up others around the area. The pizza is not bad but it’s not amazing, I’d say the pizza is pretty darn good the price. The pizzas are coming out the oven fresh and hot and there’s always a crisp on the crust which is always good because no one wants a soggy pizza where it’s going to bend downwards. The slices are smaller then your average pizza spot that may charge you 2.50 $-3.00 $ a slice but you pay for what you get. You can get a combo of 2 slices + a can of soda or bottle water for 2.75 $ or you can get a pie for about 8.00 $ toppings of course is extra. This place can get packed on a hot summer day or cold winter day where lines go up to the corner of 3rd avenue, it’s bananas. This pizza place can do justice when you have no time for lunch or working after hours at the office but I believe the ovens shut down between 7:45 — 8:30pm. The only bad thing about this place is the small entrance and the amount of people that are in line turning sideways just to get threw to order and turning sideways to get out. There aren’t any seats so don’t expect to dine in, although there are many plazas around where you can sit and have your lunch at.

Whenever I come to New York, I think great Chinese, hating everyone in Times Square and cheap pizza. This pizza was CHEAP. HOWEVER, I really enjoyed the two slices and can of soda for $ 2.75. These slices were plain cheese pizza and it didn’t seem like there were any other options. I haven’t seen any reviews saying that there were no other toppings available. We also were there just before 11pm. The pizza itself was actually quite good. Sauce had good flavor and I added some hot sauce for a kick. If you’re in midtown and need a late night snack, this is a solid choice. If you’re in town in a hotel in midtown, and worried about which Chinese /Vietnamese /Thai fusion to eat at, this is your life vest. Save yourself from drowning in late night hunger.

The pizza is pretty horrible, especially because it’s cooked on a screen, but as they say you get what you pay for at $ 0.99 cent joint. Note that a pie costs more than eight individual slices, according to the worker because a box costs so much for them. …

This is great pizza. It’s no L&B spumonis but it’s a dollar. In midtown. And quick. And clean. The lady who complained there was no pepperoni? They have only cheese, lady! It’s a tiny establishment! I want toppings on my pizza but it’s a small, quick spot for dollar pizza. Get ur pork somewhere else! I haven’t seen a roach here and I come here often. No homeless people inside and if there was, so what! They are human too– have a problem with that? Take them in ur home and give them a place to stay. Smh damn people. It’s a DOLLARPIZZA!

I tell ya, for the price this is really good. Some days better than others. But I like the crust! Thanks 99 cents for keeping your price the same years later. You’re an unemployed girl’s best friend.

It’s cheap pizza. I mean, at 2am, it was pretty good, but I still prefer«A Slice of New York» in Columbus, Ohio, despite their extreme similarities($ 5 for two slices and a soda at A Slice of New York, and it’s like less than $ 3 here). As I was hanging outside, a flurry of different workers kept popping in to grab a slice. So, for the price, the time, and the city? It’s pretty damn good.

This is a well known location in midtown manhattan. The pizza is only 1 dollar and is always fresh. I am never disappointed when I need a quick bite to eat. The workers are friendly and promote excellent customer service. So is not a surprise that I will give them 5 stars. Recommendation: There is always a long line for their pizza, so to avoid the headache, call them and purchase a pie.
