Moderately priced, ok sushi, good environment. I’d provable recommend for lunch over dinner.

Located in Hells Kitchen, I think my favorite part about Ageha Sushi is that it’s good sushi without all the NYC frills. Having dined here a couple of times and ordered Seamless from this spot countless times it’s always consistently good. My favorite thing to order is their Yummy Pizza. Take my word for it and try it, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a thin tuna tartar pizza with toppings. Their lunch specials are great too! You can order two rolls with a miso soup for $ 10.50! This will probably be my go to sushi spot until we either move/or something equally as good pops up in the vicinity. Oh also… Ordering seamless can sometimes take forever, but Ageha is quick. I’ve never had to wait longer than 30 minutes for my orders! The sushi is always fresh, and like I said consistently good.

Came here for a pre-show dinner with my friend on a Friday. We both love sushi, so we were hoping for a delicious experience before embarking on Broadway. Both of us ordered a cocktail and 3 rolls. I had one of the combos with a Mai Tai and she ordered off the normal roll menu with a mango mojito. The drinks were good and only $ 8 each. The rolls were good as well, but I was admittedly underwhelmed by the roll combo options. It would have been nice to choose your own combo or have a bigger variety of options. The ambiance was nice and warm feeling. It’s a small place to begin with, but i didn’t help they that sat everyone on top of each other. It wasn’t that crowded, so It was frustrating to have so many people crowded into the booth area. Service was friendly too, but our water was never refilled. The food was so prompt, that we had a some time to kill before the show. We would’ve like to stay and chat a big longer, but we felt rushed out. Overall, the food/drinks for the price is a good deal, but I wasn’t enthralled with options or the experience in general.

Came on Saturday night before heading to show. Ordered the mango mojito to start and it was ok. Had a little too much mint for me. Had a few rolls that were ok. Also had too much sauce on them. Wasn’t bad sushi but not great either.

First thing bothered me was the miso soup. It was Cold! How can they serve cold soup in winter? The sushi was disappointing! The presentation was cheesy. They put a fake paper umbrella on top of couple pieces of uglily-cut carrots. The fish was warm and blend. The rice was the worst part. They used some cheap long grain rice instead of sushi rice. Growing up eating more rice than bread as an Asian, I can totally tell different types of rice. The cheap rice that they used gave a very weird texture with sushi. It’s like a Raw General-Tsao fish on steam rice. The rice was also fell apart easily. The one star was for their service as it was attentive. The food should receive negative star if I can give them.

The sushi was decent. The rice could’ve been less grainy and wasabi less mousse-like, but really nice quality fish. I would definitely go back. One weird thing: about half way through lunch, though, the restaurant started smelling like week-old garbage. Don’t know what’s up with that.

I went here for lunch because it had overall 4 stars, but I was disappointed especially because I went with my mom on my recommendation. The server got our order wrong. He double checked and I triple checked with him, and he still got the wrong order. The sushi roll was ok. The inside was good(considering it’s fushion), but I am unsure if they used a sushi roller when making the sushi. The rice was spiking up and down from the sushi(all of them), something basic that should not be seen in a sushi restaurant – wether it be fusion or not. Considering those details in the rice, and also the taste balance between yellowtail and(too sweet) mango would have made the(lunch) dining experience better. I did not have dinner here, so I cannot say whether it might have been better if I did not have the lunch speical. However, all I want to say is that please train the staff to speak up and more importantly, clearly. The waiter we met was mumbling and I had a really hard time understanding him. The food was alright, not great considering what I experienced when I went with my mom. Unless you like sweet stuff, do NOT get yellowtail mango. It only tasted like mango and the fish smelled, meaning not fresh. Ordered shrimp, but got salmon teriyaki instead. It was ok, but not what we wanted at the time.

Ageha is a solid choice for a sushi lunch in Hell’s Kitchen without having to wait or fight for tables. Perhaps it’s because it was a Friday before a holiday(Christmas), but this place was pretty much empty except for our table and another. For $ 10.50, you get your choice of two rolls + miso soup + salad. For $ 14.50, you can choose 3 rolls. They also have lots of hot combos and bento boxes to choose from at various prices as well. I ordered the two roll combo — spicy salmon(I asked for the«crunchy» part to be taken out) and salmon avocado — my usual go-to rolls at any sushi restaurant. The salad was a standard iceberg lettuce mix with a standard, though tasty, ginger dressing. The miso soup was actually good — not too salty. The rolls were delicious — packed with decently fresh salmon. I was especially impressed by the spicy salmon rolls… they were some of the better spicy salmon rolls(and proper spicy!) that I’ve had in Midtown. There was a hiccup with an order in my party — someone had ordered an eel roll and got a salmon roll instead. They graiciously let us keep the additional roll at no cost. Yum! Service was decent. She did manage to pour water literally all the way up to the rim of the glass though, causing us to drag the cup and slurp our water… how funny. Not. I would most definitely come back to Ageha for my sushi lunch fix. Best lunch deal for the taste in town!

This restaurant is a step into the future, their menus are on iPads! It made ordering very fun. I ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer, then the shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, and crunch spicy tuna rolls as my main dish. Everything was executed flawlessly and I was very pleased. For dessert I ordered the mochi ice cream and that helped complete a great meal. Definitely planning on going back!

This will have to become one of my regular stops whenever I come through NY. Very fresh, very delicious, & amazingly low priced for the quality!!! In the mood for sushi before a show or a night out? Look no further! Only sorta con was that they had an edm style playlist going but that’s a small price to pay.

Loved the variety of rolls they have here and they’re all so unique in both ingredients and names. I wasn’t incredibly hungry so I had the New Sushi Sampler and an Alaska Roll. They ran out of California Uni or else I would’ve added that to my order too. My boyfriend had the teriyaki chicken and rice and it was okay, the chicken could have been more tender. My sushi sampler was delicious, each piece had its only style and sauce. The best one in my opinion is the tuna nigiri with the avocado and seaweed. The sauce is sweet and it compliments the toppings very well. My Alaska roll was okay, the salmon quality was great but the sushi rice was dryer than I’d like. Thai iced tea was great, I had two of those and their green tea mochi ice cream was a great end to my meal.

PROS — Sushi was delicious — Great service — Cheap prices drinks — VARIETY !! — very quick to deliver service CONS — Prices were too high for what they sold. May be its the location? However, we did not order something that was any different than the usual spots we go to, and we were quite shocked that our check was double than the usual. Our assumption was the area, which makes sense.

I’ve been to the restaurant a handful of times. It’s a solid spot, for when you don’t want to break the bank at Masa, Gari, Morimoto, blah, blah, blah. It’s a cheesy restaurant, with your run of the mill décor. You don’t need to dress up. And most of the patrons are younger kids who live in Hell’s Kitchen. It’s owned and run by Chinese folk, so their menu includes Americanized Chinese dishes such as Orange chicken and steamed fish. Some of the waiters have heavy, indiscernible accents. And the boss lady is almost always barking orders. One evening, we were on Seamless and decided to order $ 75 worth of sushi/sashimi for delivery. As soon as we placed the order, we received a Seamless text and email, informing us that our order was on our way. 2 – 3 minutes later, I receive a phone call from a 212 number, and somehow knew that it was probably Ageha Sushi. I picked up and it was the boss lady. She asked, «This is Ageha Sushi. Do you know we are 20 blocks away?» I said, «Excuse me. Hi. Sorry, can you repeat yourself?» She said, «We are 20 blocks away from your apartment. Did you know?» I said, «Yes. What is the problem?» She said, «We will need you to give our delivery boy more tip. You only put down $ 4.» I said, «Excuse me?» She said, «Please pay our delivery boy at least 20% of the bill.» WHAT? WHATHAPPENEDTOFREEDELIVERY? I am not tipping your delivery boy $ 15. You should pay your delivery boy a better hourly wage if you don’t want him to complain. I asked her to cancel my order. She said she would. A week later, I still had not seen the return transaction on my Credit Card, so I called Seamless directly. Seamless reps told me that the restaurant never called to reverse the order. SODISAPPOINTING.

This place came highly recommended by a friend who lives in Hells Kitchen and it was a bit of a let down. The sushi was decent, nothing out of this world. I got one of the specialty rolls with scallop, salmon and tuna and for paying $ 15, the pieces were way way too small. My friend’s bento box however, was quite large. Plus the 2 $ beer happy hour special was good. We split the rock shrimp app as well, which was standard and a decent size for $ 9. The service however here was awful. I had known about the 2 $ happy hour special from my friend, and the waitress was absolutely clueless about which beers were on special when we asked her, so we had to walk up to the hostess and ask(she had a better idea of what was going on). Then, the waitress decided to bring my friend who i was dining with a glass of water but didnt give one to me… that’s just rude.

Meh. Service: meh. Rushed. Food: meh. Tired. Atmosphere: meh. Forced. All in all I’d say it was exceptionally ok. There were two very un meh items; the Indian pancakes with a curry doing sauce. And a peanut avocado roll. But be warned, if there’s a sauce, garnish, grain of rice you want to eat then guard you’re plate. Because it will disappear faster than you can say«want there a dumpling left.?»

Lots of things here are fresh: their fish and their attitude. A sushi craving brought us to Ageha on a rainy weekend, and luckily we were seated right away. I love the menus as they feature prominent photos for each dish and make it so easy to choose your entrée. We split an app, I opted for the sashimi deluxe, and the boyfriend went with a salmon teriyaki bento box. Our tuna dumplings came out first and while they were really pretty, they weren’t as good as ones I’ve had at other places. It tastes better when filled with spicy tuna instead of just plain crab and didn’t really seem worth the price tag Ageha put on them. I received my entrée just fine, although my boyfriend accidentally received the salmon teriyaki full entrée. He clearly pointed at the bento box part of the menu when ordering, but our waitress was not hearing it, insisting he ordered the entrée because he never gave her his sushi roll choice(which to be fair is her job to confirm). We enjoyed our entrees in peace, but another hiccup came with the check. We asked them to split it evenly and I decided to tip more to offset the amount of our meals. When she saw my boyfriend had only tipped a few dollars, she came back and complained, saying we needed to leave more. If she had just looked and noticed I tipped significantly more(almost 30% on my bill), she would’ve figured out our total tip was the standard 18%. Instead she argued with us and when I kept explaining to her our logic, she kept insisting we leave more tip. She eventually left our table frustrated, and we got up to leave. All the other servers just greeted us, thanked us for the business, and kept smiling. No one bothered to apologize even though the server was entirely in the wrong. That left a bad taste in our mouths. It’s a shame too because their fish was actually very fresh and one of the better sashimi platters I’ve had in New York for under $ 30. Guess I’ve got to find a new sushi bar go-to.
