Rock on. This is an off the beaten path very cool Irish pub on York Ave, upper east side. with a lot of room to move and fair prices on beer, wine, liquor. At least one of the bartenders has great taste in music and will accommodate requests if they don’t suck. Awesome music is essential for any great bar or club. Also, Baileys hosts a free comedy show Usually the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Both beginners and experienced funny comedians!

A fun bar to watch football or to play poker with your friends. We did both last Saturday for a baby shower(the guy version). We started at 3pm, the bar was empty. We finished at 7pm, the bar was getting pretty busy. Good to know: the bar let you order food from outside.

Love this place. It’s a great old school bar in a neighborhood that is changing drastically by the day for better or worse. The bar tenders are great — really friendly and easygoing. There’s plenty of space. You can chat with a friend, play darts, pinball, watch a game or read a book. Nobody takes any notice. It’s the type of place a local bar should be.

I love coming to this bar. It is very chill and not like the 2nd Ave fratty scene. The bartenders are extremely friendly. Aside from being reasonably priced, I can get a table nearly every time. They also have pinball, darts, and a collection of board games.

It’s a bar. Watch game, drink beer, meet a few ppl watching same game. Not a young crowd. Quasi university of Michigan bar. I follow Michigan state, they don’t throw me out

Great place to go if you’re cutting down on your drinking. Worst service I’ve ever had in a bar and the beer selection leaves a lot to be desired. Plenty of other places to go.

Faux pas of all faux pas: I showed up an hour early to dinner at Gracie Mansion. Oops. (Well I think actually a slightly worse faux pas was the time I showed up to the NYPD Museum opening reception wearing a «Pugs Not Drugs» shirt and rounded the corner to see Ray Kelly and every single judge from New York to Philadelphia, who all turned their heads as I opened the door and interrupted the talk. I was also the only one under fifty in that room. Still recovering from that one.) But OK, you get the picture. Slightly bruised ego after showing up so incredibly unfashionably early(but at least I was dressed appropriately this time). So I popped into the nearest bar I could find in order to kill an hour. And Bailey’s it was! The bartender was so sweet. He knew obviously that I was not a regular, and spoke to me just the right amount: he didn’t talk my ear off but also was really friendly and made me feel welcomed. They had a great happy hour special(where I think drinks were five dollars for cocktails and four for beer? But don’t quote me on that one). Also, the atmosphere was just… fun. It really was a nice corner pub, filled with lively people of all walks of life. I’d come back for sure. I was actually quite sad when my hour was up! I could have stayed there all night, listening to music and chatting with people.

Tough to beat prices for the neighborhood, friendly staff, all the games on sunday, what more could you ask for? A fun mix of different fans show up, always a few giants, jets, bills and steelers around.

My friend lives right around the corner to this place, and we decided to come here for drinks before a night out We definitely weren’t dressed with the crowd lol. It’s more of a chill, laidback bar. but of course we were dressed up to go clubbing heh… The bartender was so nice and helpful! My whiskey+gingerale was only $ 5 and when we couldn’t decide what else to get, he suggested a lemondrop shot. Delicious! We’re definitely coming back here whenever we want drinks and don’t want to go all the way to downtown or something But the bartender definitely made our experience!

This is a great place to catch a Sunday full of football games. When I was there, they let people order pizza in, which is key. Extremely fair prices. Definitely plan to come back.

Classic Irish pub. I stop here in off hours(afternoon) when it’s empty — I love empty bars. Drinks are well made, and inexpensive. No bespoke cocktails here, and I think you might get a dirty look if you try to order a Jagerbomb(grow up). But honestly, all of these words are filler — the first three words of this review say it all. Classic Irish pub. Textbook Irish pub. Not some mediocre sports bar with a vaguely Irish name, not some bro-hole on Second Ave. A neighborhood standby.

Was really excited about trying Bailey’s becuase I didnt think I would find a cool Irish bar all the way out on York. I really liked what I saw when I walked in as it has a spacious and inviting inside… I was getting a good vibe from Baileys. Then I went to the bar to get a drink and was a little underwhelmed by the bartender. It wasnt that crowded yet the bartender had zero personality and it seemed like he wanted to say as few words as possible. I ordered 2 beers and they came out to $ 6 – 7 a drink which is in line with other places in the area, however since Bailey’s was all the way over on York I expected it to be a slight bit cheaper. We stayed for a drink and then headed out. Theres other bars with friendlier bartenders and cheaper drinks in the area so I’ll prob pass on coming here again.

I REALLY wanted Baileys to be my new local pub. I just moved from 3rd ave to 1st ave… and I need a new bar within stumbling distance. Bailey’s seemed like the nice, laid back atmosphere I needed. Darts, photo hunt, lots of dark corners and cozy nooks… candles and the«local paper» to keep you busy add a nice touch. But then there are the dogs. Sorry puppy lovers… I just don’t need your pets sniffing around my feet when I’m having a few drinks(or worse, having a bite to eat) with my friends. You don’t need to bring your dog everywhere. I realize I might be firing up some dog lovers right now, but I just don’t think eating and drinking establishments for people should be shared with animals. Lastly, a roach crawled onto my purse which was conveniently on my lap. I know roaches are everywhere, but I couldn’t help let it take off like a quarter of a star. Anyways, it still might be new local pub.

They now have EROTICPHOTOHUNT!!!(any bar with that is a friend of mine — is there really anything better?) This past Sunday I had yet another damn good time at Bailey’s. We ordered Thai food right to the bar. Another pint with my Pad See Ew please! There were a ton of people with their dogs which is a not only a great conversation starter, but I mean it’s hard not to have a great time with dogs around. Can I pet Fido? Can I roll around on the ground with Fido? Hard to be miserable when you can pet a sweet puppy. $ 5 beers kept us there for a few hours. Great bar.
