Food is pretty bad. Got the cowboy burger — cheddar, homemade chili, fried onions, opted for the side of caesar salad. The salad kept falling off the plate because the plate was too small. It was a rectangular appetizer size plate. At least the lettuce was chopped to an optimal size. The dressing on the lettuce was beyond bland and tasted sweet. Super gross for a caesar salad. It had no bite, no salt, nothing caesar about it. I asked for a sesame ginger dressing on the side after I tasted the salad, and that was no gem either. A medium burger came out very tough and chewy and slightly burnt on the bottom. The fried onions were French’s fried onions and there was not even a tablespoons worth on the burger. The cheddar and chili were tasteless. I didn’t bother with the bun as it looked ordinary. The pickle on the side was redeeming. Don’t go for the food.

I’ve been here a couple of times and it’s been good times. It represents a typical stone street bar offering a wide variety of beers and sufficient table service. Stone street and the bar reminds me of a bar you would find in Boston, with the gobble stone on the outside and the wooden old feel inside. They offer a typical selection of bar food. My friends and I got the Nachos Grande and their combo platter. The nachos were nice and crispy, topped with plenty of chili on top. The combo platter included sweet potato fries which were crispy on the outside and soft and potatoey on the outside. Overall, adequate to satisfy those drunk munchies. Both plates were annihilated in a matter of minutes. This bar is also a great option for sports watching as they have plenty of TVs as well as a projector screen. I would definitely be down to go again.

I went here with my family after a day trip around Manhattan. We sat outside on a nice day. It was a little loud and crowded but that’s expected when you’re in the Big Apple. We ordered some wings for an appetizer and then we all got separate meals. The food took an extremely long time to come out, and aside from that, the service was pretty slow. But once we got our food, we were happy with the taste and quality. There are a lot of great restaurants in that area, so I’m not sure I would stop here again without trying something else first. But it certainly hit the spot.

Convenient location for me(i live around here) but the food was again not good except for the brunch burrito. The waitress was nice but we had to ask for everything(more coffee, water, spoons…). Basically a sports bar that tries to be something more but can’t. It’s a pity because of the fantastic location and space. One extra star because they include a glass of decent wine with the brunch).

This place the best! It’s my cornerstone bar in Downtown. It’s always a good time here. The staff are awesome. Definitely a great place to watch football(they play all of the games on multiple TVs), or rugby! Scotty and Caitlyn are the best bartenders in the city! Definitely treat them well when you come down.

Great space in an old New York location. Scotty the bartender was attentive and professional. Reasonable prices and a low key, literary vibe. I’ll be back when I’m downtown.

First Experience– Arrived in the evening, after sun went down, so it was very dark. My company was hosting it’s annual christmas party here. It’s multi-level, so we had the upstairs which provided sit down table and open space for dancing and socializing. The drinks were good, gave me a nice head. Had the chicken wings and sliders, both quite tasty. It was very dark inside, and I would have liked to have some light, but the christmas lights hanging was a nice touch. However, being that it is an old building, located on one of NYC’s oldest cobble stone alleys, you can imagine what lurks in the dark hidden cracks. Get my point. Second Experience– summertime, the sun still up and looked totally different. Hung out downstairs, the Cosmopolitan I ordered was on point, again.

Probably the worst meal I’ve EVER had in NYC. All three of us were totally shut out… a turkey club with no mayo(it took three ice waters to down the dry thing down), an over done cheese burger, and the most atrocious Cobb salad known to man. We should have sent all three meals back, but we just took the ass whipping and headed back home. It actually crossed my mind that if you sent back three meals, someone would be spitting your food. We actually thought an unskilled bus boy was sitting in for the cook that day. Very unusual for a Stone Street eatery, it just must not have been their day… or ours for that matter.

We were walking back from seeing the Statue of Liberty and ended up on Stone street. We ended up selecting this restaurant. They have a brunch deal on the weekends that includes a brunch selection with a bloody, beer or wine for $ 18. I ordered the California omelette, which was supposed to include avocado. The omelette was not good and instead of putting in fresh avocado, they put in guacamole, which didn’t taste very well. The bloody’s that came with the meal were mediocre at best. I would not go back to this restaurant for food. There are so many other options-so try something else!

Beckett’s wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for this TERRIBLESERVER. This girl is an absolute idiot. She’s not listening to our orders. Her head is in outer space. She brought silverware for food AFTER we’d eaten it. She didn’t know what beers were on tap and she didn’t offer any help when we asked what they have. She handed us her piece of cardboard that she’d written the drinks on. Seriously? She walked away from the table before everyone had ordered. Never in my life have I met a more incompetent server. She keeps making me angrier every time she comes to the table. Pretty sure her name is Gabriella. Someone please help this girl out.

I’m really pleased that we wandered into this place for lunch today. We wanted somewhere warm, with working restrooms, good fresh home style food and we weren’t disappointed. We ordered the soup of the day, which was Lentil, fresh and homemade, and the homemade veggie burger. The food was fresh and tasty and the service efficient and helpful. A great place to rest on a cold NYC day.

Service was really good. The waiter was really nice and the fried calamari was really tasty. The margaritas were especially tasty and strong just the way I like it!

I’ve frequented this place both while inebriated and again while sober. It is ill advised to come here if your state of mind is the latter. Do not expect much from a Saturday brunch. With that said, all of Stone Street is relatively quiet on weekends, the wolves of Wall Street must be hiding else where during market close. The breakfast burrito was satisfying with the right amount of avocado. I’m all about that egg to rice ratio too, so they did all right in that department. The mimosa was very light and tangy. Will come again. Not on a weekend, but after work.

Seems they have high quality scotch here. Tried the nachos and chicken quesadilla; the quesadilla was more pico or onion tasting than I’d have liked. I’ve had better guacamole but I’d have liked the nachos better without the jalapeño; some of us have sensitive constitutions and can’t do hot peppers. The cheese was good, though & the chips had the right salty and crisp to them. Service could have been much better since one friend kept getting ignored by the bartender, this poor woman who was having to do it all by herself & looked like she needed help due to the short staffing. To be located in the Financial District, this place itself is pretty relaxed and laidback.

In the Financial District; Stone Street is known for its cobble stone presences and good selection of bars and restaurants to explore especially during Happy Hour. We usually hang at Beckett’s and order the usual such as a couple of blue moon, crab cakes, and chicken fingers with fries. The environment is pretty laid back with a couple of big screens so you can catch a quick glimpse at one of the games while chatting away, flirting, or networking. The staff is fairly good and overall service is reasonable for a NYC bar. They also have a second floor, which is usually used for corporate events or private parties. If you plan on bar hopping one night after work, you may want to swing by at Beckett’s for a delicious blue moon or a drink of your choice.

Lunch at Beckett’s on a weekday is a 3-star experience. This isn’t bad by any means, but you’re having lunch here because the weather is nice, you want to sit outside, and you don’t want to eat lunch at your desk. That being said, make sure that you are not in a hurry. The service is fine, there’s just no sense of urgency. Burgers are a good choice. I had the veggie burger, which was hearty and satisfying. My only complaint is that the bun could be less bready. Considering the other options on Stone Street, I would say that this place is OK for what it is — a sports bar. If your expectations are to get a simple bite to eat and a beer or two, then you’re fine. You can get better and worse food elsewhere, so this spot is somewhere in between.

Meh. I used to work across the street from Stone Street. Beckett’s was a favorite for lunch. Not drunk lunch. That was Haru for a scorpion bowl. The food is bland. Service is surly especially at lunch. Go to Uylesses. The only thing I like here is the grilled cheese. You can watch baseball on their outdoor tvs during the summer so that is cool. It’s probably the only redeeming quality of this place otherwise this is a stay away. This is a humorous anecdote: One day I was standing outside smoking a parliament and this jerk i-banker asked me if he could give me $ 20 for a smoke. I was kind of like ‘Um, no, you can just have one.” For you non-smokers, that is smoking etiquette, you give a fellow $hitfaced smoker a cig when they are in need because you never know when that is going to be you. So his hooker comes up to me-she was clearly an escort– she was a 10, he was a 2, and was like«listen, it is really going to offend him if you don’t take his money» and drops a $ 100 bill into my bag. Ummm, OK. I made a hundred bucks shilling cigs to a drunk Banker from Goldman on Stone Street.
