Came into the theatre district to visit from California. Ate there two days in a row. Great short order breakfast staff and lots of options. Problem too much plastic

Black dude who works at the salad bar is rude as fuck. If you want to mutter shit under your breath do it a little quieter or get out of the service business. I won’t be going back there any time soon after that experience.

Helped myself to a biscotti at the checkout(after indicating I wanted to buy one with my sushi) — Looked up to find an awful scowl and disbelieving face that I would reach into the jug and not her. Hey, look, I didn’t see a don’t touch sign– the rest of the place is self-serve! Came back here after several years avoiding it when they were racking up B and C grades in the city’s restaurant inspection system. Time to return this to the no-go list– the latest ungraded inspection is at the B– level.

I come here for lunch once a week. There’s a decent selection of food and I have tried everything they offer. The standouts are the pizza(especially buffalo chicken slice), the spicy tuna salad by the sushi section, and the pasta. The rest of the food is nothing special. You can get the same quality or better in the same area. Tip: the cashier has the pepper flakes and garlic powder for the pizza.

If you want to reminisce about the old days and the disgusting cafeteria food and atmosphere, then this is the place for you! Worst pizza I’ve ever had. It should have been telling that my pizza was cooked in a couple minutes. My friends that were with me got sushi and pasta. We were completely disappointed.

Basically a cafeteria with more options(sushi, pizza, pasta), but no better. Barbecue pizza was worst I’ve ever had, sushi was ehh, my friend’s pasta was pretty bad as well. My brother didn’t finish his pizza, and my friend didn’t finish his pasta. We’re on to get some other food right now.

I love Bocca! It’s cheap, fast, easy and has so many choices! I usually order the sushi here, and though it’s not the best sushi in the world, it’s more than acceptable, given the relatively low prices(especially compared to other restaurants in midtown). I have also ordered the pesto spaghetti here, and it wasn’t as good as the sushi. The chef put way too much cream and sauce in the pasta and i felt like i was drinking pesto soup. The pizza was good and reasonable, though there’s definitely better slices in the city. Their main fault is just the number of people. there are A LOT of people here during the lunchtime rush, and it quickly gets overwhelming to the point that it becomes difficult walking around. There is a loft upstairs for seating, but it’s very cramped and sometimes completely full. Overall, I will continue visiting this restaurant because of its accessibility, low prices and good, though not great, food.

Still one of my favorites! Went today and noticed they have had a new pizza crust that was extra thin. Cheese pies are $ 7 but I got a margherita for $ 7.50. Came out extra crispy. And like all pies are made to order.

Not too bad a place for lunch. Its a deli/fast casual place with tons of different options. Tried the sushi station — prices were pretty standard, $ 5 for regular rolls and towards $ 10 for special ones. They have both a-la-carte and a fridge where they store them ready to take. I highly recommend trying to get them to make you a fresh roll because there is DEFINITELY a big difference between those and whats in the keep-cold area. Pizza– two types, one is by the slice and the other side has personal pizzas starting at $ 7. I got a buffalo chicken personal pizza with ultra-thin crust. It was pretty good but definitely did not look like the display. I think they just gave me regular margarita pizza with some chicken tossed in hot sauce. As a pizza, it was definitely decent for $ 9. They had a nice selection of smoothies that combined veggies and fruit with yogurt. Those were all $ 4.50 each and looked like a large cup. They have seating upstairs but its cafeteria style so you’ll most likely end up having to sit directly next to or across from a stranger.

I really like the sushi here. They have a lot of options, they are reasonably priced, they are fresh, and they taste good! I always come here for their sushi. I like the rolls with spicy tuna inside and salmon outside the most. So yummy! I barely try their other options though(pizza, pasta, soup, sandwiches, etc).

I checked the website before going in. I wanted a salad and stuffed mushrooms. Based on the site the mushrooms looked really good. I ordered my salad then asked for the area to order stuff mushrooms. One guy sent me back to the salad bar. I found another employee who made a call to order it. Wait ten minutes collected my order and paid. When I got back to my office, I noticed the mushrooms weren’t didn’t look like the site. It was just breadcrumbs and mushrooms. Bummer

Great buffalo chicken pizza slices here. I also like their soups. You can sample the soups(DIY) before you start pouring it into the three different sized cups. If you order a calzone, be prepared to wait. Takes a significantly longer time to heat up. Breakfast sandwiches like egg and bacon are expensive here but what Manhattan store isnt? They have FLATBAGELS here which is awesome!!! Their sushi is passable for lunch since everything is prepackaged. If you wanted to try something new, I would suggest the spicy tuna salad. They increased their prices from $ 6.25 to $ 6.75 but still worth a try. Their ramen/udon section is MEH. I wouldnt eat it again after trying it. It’s like instant ramen. YUCKY! You get a corporate discount(10%) if you work at certain firms around the area like Barclays. There’s seating upstairs so it’s good to have lunch with a friend up there. It doesnt feel like theres air conditioning up there though. Theres also a bathroom thats useable.

Perfect lunch spot during the work day. Bocca has just about everything –salad bar, sandwiches, sushi, pasta station, daily soups and pizza. There’s even a coffee bar, smoothies, and ice cream station. You could eat here everyday and get something completely new. Quality of the food is great and the prices are pretty standard to lunch spots like Café Metro in the area. The food at Bocca is much better and the portions are larger than other quick lunch spots in the area, in my opinion, My personal favorite is the sushi station where you can get udon bowls, ramen, rice noodles, and shrimp shumai. This location tends to have check in offers frequently, like 15% off your order. Bocca has ample seating upstairs as well as both delivery and catering menus online.

Decent sized place. Wide variety of food and drinks. Seating upstairs. I ordered a snapple to drink and Rigatoni & Sausage for my meal. It would say it was mediocre. It’s a good place to go to for something quick but I would probably choose some place else if I had more time.

It’s hard to decide what to get at this all purpose lunch time cafeteria. They have sushi, ramen and udon, American style entrees, pizza, grill station, pasta, and more. There’s a sign that says sushi is made to order, but when I asked, the Japanese men pointed me to the premade sushi in a refrigerator — F. I went to the American style entrees area and all the entrees looked beautiful — A+. I ended up getting the flank steak with string beans and rice. For midtown lunch in a plastic tray, I was delightfully surprised. The beef was tender and juicy and full of flavor. Green beans were overcooked and the rice was dry, but the juices from the beef helped ameliorate those problems. I’m eager to try what else this cafeteria is serving.

Solid lunch place for office workers in the area. This place has a bit of everything — from omelettes and a bagel bar in the morning, to soup, sushi, udon noodles, bibimbap, pasta station, pizza, and gelato/frozen yogurt for lunch and dinner. This place gets a 5 because some of the foods are seriously on point, quality, and are very reasonably priced and these are the gelato($ 5 for large), froyo($ 5 for large), and pastas($ 10 per dish, including meat) and the servers are very friendly. The only minuses are the ambiance(it’s not a sit down place) and that it gets crowded during peak lunch hours. Tips: 50% off sushi after 6:30pm, corporate discounts for some companies

This has to be my favorite place for lunch in the area so far. If you’re in the mood for pizza, salad, sandwich, pasta, sushi, udon/ramen… they have you covered. I normally get the pizza because for $ 9, you get a pretty generous pizza for 1. There are daily specials too so if you have a hard time making you’re own, you can pick one and they’ll make it right then and there. I was really impressed. I’ve also tried the pasta station… will try the udon/ramen next once the weather starts to cool. Love that you can sit in the open area across the street as well.

This place seriously has everything! A great place to go for lunch if you’re going with a group since everyone’s guaranteed to find what they want. From salads to sandwiches to pizza to pastas to sushi, they have it all. So far I’ve had their sushi, salad, and bibimbap and all were surprisingly pretty good. The ingredients were fresh, and you get reasonable portions for a decent price. It always gets packed during prime lunch hours, but they have plenty of cash registers open so the lines move quickly. Don’t forget to grab some utensils on the way out unless you want to eat with your hands!
