LOVE! My wife is a burger fiend and we were home from out of town, exhausted, and no food in the fridge. We took a shot on this spot and left as huge fans. The food was delicious and the wine list was really respectable. Fair prices and nice service. Love the quaint space. Will be back. And did I mention the burger? AWESOME. Oh, and a happy hr to boot!

Dropped in here last night for a quick healthy dinner since I was in the neighborhood. Greeted at the door by a friendly hostess, and I also thought the service was fine during my meal. Very nice décor. Clean, cozy, and welcoming. Juice bar in here too. Relaxing vibe overall. I like that the menu offers an above standard list of appetizers, salads, and entrees with a healthy spin on things. I also really liked the option to build your own meal of which I took advantage of. Pick a protein and then pick a how you want it served — sandwich, lettuce wraps, veggies, or with soba noodles. I got the maple glazed seared salmon with soba noodles. The noodles were mixed with plenty of fresh veggies, and the salmon was prepared medium well just as I requested. Tasted great. Good iced tea here too. Prices were reasonable. Eating clean for the win! I’ll definitely keep this spot bookmarked for when I’m over in this part of the UWS next time.

Our server had RBF but was super polite and attentive. Good solid breakfast food, and an incredible challah French toast. As you’d expect, the syrup wasn’t the chemical stuff and the home fries were prepared with fresh rosemary. Temperature was really high in there though, particularly since it was in the 70s outside, which made it a little uncomfortable. Overall, though, a good experience and we’d come back again! Update: We visited again yesterday(5÷14÷16) and were so disappointed! The challah French toast was thin, dry and burned. The accompanying fruit was only apple and a single strawberry. The ladies next to us said the same, sent theirs back, and got worse 2nd time around. A real shame and I’m guessing down to the cook, but I am removing a star for inconsistency — not really acceptable at these prices.

Cozy, friendly and absolutely sumptuous! Get the maple glazed salmon with the soba noodles. I was jealous of my neighbors who got the burgers and fries. So good!!! Great for an impromptu Friday night!

I try never to give a review on my first visit so after my fifth time there they deserve the 5 stars. The first time I went, I was with a family from out of town. Healthy eaters overall picky. They found the food amazing and so did I. The variety is great. Kudos to the waiters. And major kudos to the Cheff. They were so amazingly accommodating. I loved the steak and I felt like when Harry met Sally with every bite! Perfection! The flat pizza like bread was fantastic and I got to taste quite a bit of the menu. Since then I have gone back a few times. Hence my rave review. It has become the place to go for me and a place to take people to. I have also ordered food from them it aways comes in neat and just as delicious as if you were at their restaurant. Keep it up, I’ll be coming back!!!

Nice atmosphere, simple but tasteful décor. Friendly and accommodating servers. We had Norwegian eggs Benedict. It was decent, but I was not falling in love. Love that brunch is served until 4pm!

Nice first time experience. Seven pm and it’s half empty. I hope that is not a bad sign. Came in with my 7yo and we found stuff for her to eat. I had the lamb meatballs with soba noodles. The menu is fresh and interesting. Contrary to other reviews, the service is good, thanks to Miguel. The bar looks like a nice place to chill. Give it a try if you are in the neighborhood. There are much worse places around here. The one drawback is that it’s not a cheap place to eat and for that amount of cash you might find better places. But if you are tired of the usual bistro, sushi, diner and spaghetti routine, this will give you a break.

This place was delicious!!! We stopped here on a whim and a quick Unilocal check. We are so glad we did! The service was great and the place had a warm and friendly atmosphere. My hubby and I both got omelets. It includes cut-potatoe hash browns which were delicious, and whole wheat toast(also good), and then you pick your own 3 items to have in your omelet. Hubby got sun-dried tomatoes, spinach and goat cheese. I got avocado, chorizo and goat cheese. Both omelets were SO good!!! I asked for some chipotle sauce onthe side and it made my omelet heavenly.(But I like things saucy and spicy!) If you have the chance, eat here!!! Wonderful experience!

Communal fills that rare space between wrap/smoothie/healthy spots and fancy dinner joints. It’s the kind of place where you could meet a bunch of friends for dinner and there’s something for everyone on the menu. Or the kind of place you could drop into after the gym and enjoy a healthy meal on your own without feeling awkward. After a tough spin class, I stopped by Communal because I wanted more than grab ‘n go and less than white tablecloth service. It was just right. After being warmly greeted and seated right after I walked in, I ordered the avocado tartare as an appetizer and salmon with soba noodles for my entrée. The avocado tartare is essentially guacamole with a twist. I was a bit skeptical of the goat cheese and black cheese, but it actually works. Let’s just say I didn’t leave any chips or a trace of that tartare. Communal also offers a twist with its entrees. You can get chicken, steak, salmon, tofu ball, or veggies as a sandwich, lettuce wrap, with soba noodles, or as a hot entrée. I got the salmon with soba noodles. The noodles were served with plenty of fresh veggies and the salmon was cooked just right. If I’m in the area, I would definitely return. Plenty of guilt free options. Next time, I’m saving room for dessert!

This is our 9th time dining in this resturant. We never experience a really good service we keep coming because of the convenience of the place. But today i think the waiter(Amerigo) having a bad day. He gave us an attitude, he snapped from the bar far away: You cant sit over here its all reserved an hour ago no body showed up, this is a picture after we finish dining. Then he charged us couple of dollars extra for less than a medium/small spoon of chopped tomatoes! Last time coming for sure and i don’t recommend this experience for anyone! 5 parties at least came in while we are dining and left!

Nice atmosphere. My wife really liked their signature martini. The beer selection is just ok. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I had the lamb meatballs as a sandwich. Three large meatballs with marinara and melted mozzarella on homemade bread. The french fries, served with a homemade spicy aioli were also excellent. A great choice if you’re in the area.

Overall, atmosphere is nice, but food is poorly cooked and service is terrible. 1) the waiter told us they are out of their signature burger(ran out of beef), but will be replacing it a turkey burger instead. He led me to believe it would be the same entrée, but turkey instead of beef. It was not, it was a completely different burger entrée and also was more expensive! 2) my girlfriend ordered the $ 22 salmon. We waited for our food for 1 hr, and when I finally asked if it was coming soon the waiter told us that the system he plugged the orders into didn’t register the turkey burger, and therefore they were making it now. He also told us the $ 22 salmon is sitting under a heat lamp while the turkey burger was being prepared… He said it had been sitting there for about 20 minutes. Well, the salmon was disgusting. It was the chewiest salmon we have ever had(thanks to the heat lamp probably) 3) after we told the waiter we didn’t want the salmon that was under the heat lamp(because it was gross and the side quinoa was cold), he said«don’t worry, I gave the heat lamp one to a different table and gave you a fresh one». I 100% don’t believe him, but even if he did, that’s awful! Very bad service. They didn’t even bring any appetizers or offer us a drink while we were waiting forever for our food. And when they messed our orders, they didn’t even offer to compensate us for anything. We will never be back, and will be telling friends to never go.

This location has been everything you can imagine, from bakery to juice shop after Krispy Kreme closed its doors. Nothing ever lasted, but I really hope this restaurant lasts because it is lovely. It has a pleasant ambiance and beautiful décor. Best of all, it has great food! Their burgers are succulent and their fries the perfect balance of crispy and fluffy. Delicious, just delicious.

It was surprisingly difficult to find a place to eat for an early brunch on the upper West side that had more than two tables in it. We stumbled upon this place and decided to sit down. The first thing that we noticed was that there were far more employees there than customers. Sometimes, that can be a bad sign. But, we were willing to take the chance. We were hungry! Half of the brunch menu was dedicated to a variety of «morning flat breads», which had meat options, poached eggs, and veggies, on oil brushed flat bread. The other half of the menu had eggs, oatmeal, french toast, an omelette, breakfast sandwich, yogurt parfait, and a croissant. We ordered the two eggs dish, which came with toast and a side salad, the fruit and yogurt parfait, and sweet potato fries. This wasn’t the kind of place where you’d want to be too adventurous. Service was fast, which was a benefit of being only one of two tables occupied. We got exactly what we expected, including frozen sweet potato fries. The meal satisfied our hunger, it was inexpensive, and we were able to sit, charge our phones, and chat leisurely.

Shysters! Watch out the waiters will bait and switch your lunch special and ask you if you want to add tofu then charge you full the full meal price. Suddenly a $ 30 bill shoots to $ 50. We had to argue with them for twenty minutes to get them to take off the extra charge. Lame asses. The food was ok.

This is such a great place to have a quiet lunch with a bestie. Me and my girlfriend came here one afternoon by chance, so lucky we found this place. I ordered the steak and she ordered the spinach salad. Both were amazing. Also, $ 14 for the steak, can you get any better? What makes this place great is everything is organic, I believe, so your food tastes great and fills you up without making you feel bloated and shitty. They also have amazing pressed juices. I ordered the Harmony juice to end my lunch & was equally impressed. All fresh fruits and veggies and no yucky fillers. I’ll definitely be back here again. Oh, and the price is right. $ 76 before tip, including wine. Love this spot.

This place was alright. The décor was beautiful, great ambience and waiters/waitresses were very friendly. There are a couple of good vegan options. The tofu balls were really yummy and I liked that you can choose between a few options, eat with: lettuce wraps, soba, sandwich or stir fry style. The issue is that it was so overprice! 4 tofu balls(tiny) was $ 10 and the prices vary depending on the other options. The juice I had was yummy but it was thick and more of a smoothie than cold pressed juice. Overall, given so many choices for food in the city, I am not sure I will return here.

I liked communal in concept… The execution left some more to be desired. I really like the space, the simple wood tables, large glass windows. It’s comfortable yet elegant. They also offer free wifi and it doubles as what looks like a nice study spot. I’ve been a few time for juices, which are steep at $ 9, but are fairly large. They always taste fresh and there’s a large variety of combinations to treat your cold, hangover or sweet tooth. The avocado tartare was a pretty tasty dish of avocado, goat cheese, edamame and scallions topped with sesame oil and seeds. My friend liked her roasted veggie sandwich, also fairly steep at $ 13 for toast, some roasted cauliflower, carrots and a piece of cheese. I wasn’t a huge fan of my «warm lentil, seasonal vegetables and farro», which was a mushy plate of chickpeas and farro with 3 pieces of some type of leave vegetable. It was recommended by the waiter but was only palatable with a lot of tobasco splashes. Don’t waste your time. Our waiter was charming, but was pretty inattentive given how empty the place was. I ordered tea, got to pick out a tea bag but had to request a cup of hot water. Overall, it has potential, but needs a bit of work!

Interior is comfortable. Service is good. But my salad… _BABY ARUGULASALAD($ 9 small, $ 12 large): frisee, avocado, radicchio, edamame, shallot(there were no shallots in mine), toasted black sesame seeds, honey-truffle oil vinaigrette(very garlicky, no honey flavor) Not hearty enough to be $ 12, or even $ 9. Again, it didn’t have any shallots, and the dressing tasted VERY garlicky. There was not a hint of honey flavor as described. I’m glad I got it on the side. *If it had triple the sprinkles of edamame and double the avocado, it would be more worth it. My friends had SOUP($ 6) which they seemed to enjoy. One had _CHICKEN SOUP, and the other had _VEGETABLE mung bean soup which was tasty. They also make SMOOTHIES and FRESHVEGETABLEJUICES. Not sure how those are and not sure I’d bother trying as the portions are small/mediocre. Probably won’t return but may be good for COFFEE(they give free refills).
