It’s been quite a long time since I’ve been but the vibe was always nice. Never had the food. The drinks are decent. Its quaint and cozy. Good music and laid back envirmonment. Always a plus in my book! Free admission. Also a good thing. No complaints about this place.

We came here on a Sunday night(had the day off from work the next day) after walking past the place hearing loud music. The dj was inside mixing up a lot of old school jams that I have not heard in a while, so it was pretty refreshing. There were a few people at the bar, and a group at the tables. The drinks here were über strong!!! I mean«would you like soda in you whiskey» kind of strong. I don’t know of it was the bartender, or their code of service. Cheers

The 3 stars are for the DJ that was here playing my favorite tunes which just so happen o be all 90s and early 2000s music. We stopped in here on a Saturday evening for a few drinks and just to hangout. Walking in we thought there was a private party going on but the bartender assured us we were welcomed. Now, I’m never the one to complain about a strong beverage but most of the cocktails were lethal combos that were mainly alcohol infused! I could not enjoy any of the drinks I tried so we left shortly after grooving to the music.

I thought this place was very cozy, and most of the staff members were extremely warm and accommodating. The seating was strategically placed and although it is narrow, things are spaced out in a way that is practical, so it’s comfortable. The lighting is also nice. Sound system could use some reinforcements but it can kick ass if they fix it up a bit. Should have a soundguy but they do a good job creating a nice atmosphere w/what they got. So, those are the good things I have to say. I tried to let part of this be unbiased. So, now here’s what I really have to say. Last night, the owner humiliated me so badly that [I hate to admit this] I’ve been crying the entire night. He’s a fairly large, tall, intimidating dude. I’m a 5’2″, extremely petite lil lady. Another artist and I were called to display art. This was something the owner had agreed upon prior. I was told the day of that we can’t put things on the wall, some kinda wallpaper. Okay, cool. So I get there and there’s nowhere else to put anything, really. So I got some non-damaging/clean removing clear gel mounting tabs and mounting putty. And I allowed him to see and test it out on the wall prior. He agreed to let me use it, do I did. Another artist arrived and I had starting helping her hang her things with mounting putty. As we were working on her display, he walked up to us and plucked a chunk of mounting putty on the wall, proceeding to shout, «YOUFUCKEDITUP. GETTHISOFF, GETOUT.» «You have to roll it off. Gently. That’s how it works.» «YOUFUCKEDITUP. GETOUT.» I worked slowly to remove all of the pieces I had mounted without marring the walls as he glared at me and told other people to come up to me and tell me to leave. He cursed at me and humiliated me in front of a crowd of people who looked on as I fought back tears of embarrassment. He hovered over me as I tried my best to take the high road and do a good job with the removal. I occasionally left a speck or dot as I was being rushed and humiliated more and more. So, Michael, dude — If you own a BAR and want to use WALLPAPER, get vinyl coated wallpaper or use lacquer. DUH. Especially if you agree to have art displayed there. You obviously aren’t the sharpest crayon in the box. I feel sorry for you, man. Your wallpaper is gonna get REAL damaged over time, because YOU’RERUNNING A BAR. SWEAT, LIQUID, HANDPRINTS, GREASE, heard of those things? Yeah. Okay. So apply a coat of lacquer or get used to it. You can’t decorate pretty if you don’t decorate smart. I hope finding a reason to scare and curse out a girl less than half your body weight made you feel good about yourself, tough guy.

Went to this bar for an event, and boy was I in for a surprise. The event had about 30 people, and the venue has 1 unisex bathroom. This led to awkward waits to use the facilities. This place wasn’t designed for more than 10 people at a time. They coyly removed the poster advertising the drink specials before the event as well, I saw this since I got there early. Paying $ 6 for a Blue Moon in NYC is quite pricey and for the fact that they have one bathroom really doesn’t translate into a good time for any party involved in a major event here. You might want to stay away from this place to save yourself some trouble. It has a nice décor but that’s about it.

We stopped by for drinks after getting something to eat down the street, we came in because they had some decent happy hour specials. Cute place, small very low ceilings but not bad. we sat at the bar & got ourselves the margaritas, they were good .not super strong but cheap & decent at $ 4 dollars each. Laid back crowed, nice service if in the area again i woulnt mind stopping by again.

I went to Desire on April 5, 2012 and I want to say I had a F***ing Ball. I loved everything from the crowd, décor and especially the drinks. I didn’t have an oppurtunity to try the food but I will be back and work on that at another time. The energy and people that are there is great. Exactly what a lounge should be. This is definitely a place to add to my summer hot spots.

Diggin this place, a lot. What I like most about it is how diverse the crowd was– gay, straight, les, black, hispanic, white …(Although I’m told its frequented mostly by gay men) the night I went it was VERY diverse. Went a few Saturdays ago with friends to celebrate a birthday and had an awesome time! Super strong drinks well worth the price. Trendy little space with upscale flare. Kudos to the bartender Hiro, what a sweetiepie!(;

Everytime I have visited«Desire», it was comfortable and enjoyable. The clientele is mainly couples and groups of friends however there are singles too. The drinks are always extremely strong! The bartenders mix drinks very well! The food is good too! The music is a mainly Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap and little Pop music and once a blue moon Dance and Rock music. People can dance here but there is not much room for it. Most of the patrons are alright but it can change quickly as people come and go. This bar is better to go to with a group of people. It is not much fun if you go by yourself or with one another other person. The vibe is different everytime I have been there. So, just know that past results does not guarentee future enjoyment.

Super cute place. I had the Double«D’s” — a mix of malibu, fruit juices and peach schnapps. It was delicious and very smooth going down; gave me a nice buzz. I want to try their food next time, especially the french fries.

Good drinks, good prices. I was here when a friend rented out the place for a bachelorette party. The owners were quite nice. The bartenders were too, and they lacked the attitude you see at many other places(esp when something like a bachelorette party is involved). I felt that the female bartender, whose name escapes me at the moment, was quite talented. I also tried the fries here and they were so yummy that we all kept trying to steal them off one friend’s plate. I’d totally come back here.

GREAT new place in the village! They have great specials(something about getting a free appetizer with a drink — I have forgotten the exact policy, but I swear it’s a good deal). The atmosphere is great, I love that the bar counter changes colors… It’s a great place to relax during the day and watch sports on the many plasma TV’s. The bartenders seem like old friends and a very friendly. You can usually find the owner hanging out, too, which is something I always appreciate in terms of atmosphere. I feel like it’s this secret new spot, and I can’t wait until people catch on. The drinks are reasonably priced, and like I mentioned, they usually have amazing deals and specials. The food is very good quality in terms of bar food. It has a steady and loyal customer base, but I truly do hope it becomes more popular because it’s such a great place and it is in a great location.

New bar/lounge on 8th street in the village. Nice and cozy, yet doesn’t make you feel like you on top of other patrons. Four TVs and nice sound system. Drinks are pricey yet strong. Happy hour ends at 7:30PM. Nice place to start off your evening. The do have a dinner menu, yet I did not partake, nor did I see anyone order food. Note this place has only one bathroom.
