We went here on a recommendation for our valet Al at the mid town Marriott. Very intimate setting. Staff was outstanding and very accommodating. The food was fantastic, I highly recommend the Filet !!! We will definitely return on our next trip to the city. Thanks Al on the tip to dine here !!

I was here for a private party and both the food and service were top notch! Great, classic Italian food executed perfectly. All within an elegant dining space. Stand out dish for me was definitely the squid ink linguine.

This is a long overdue review… I came here with my family and friends(total of 6 people) on New Years Eve at 7pm. Granted this is Manhattan on New Years and finding a good restaurant was not going to be easy. When I was greeted by the hostess they let us know that they were completely booked for the night but they could take us for a quick dinner which was just what we were looking for. Our server loved his job– you could just tell from how he was making jokes and talking to us. Food was delicious and good sized portions. Notably the shrimp linguine was AMAZING. We will definitely be back for the service and the food. We really appreciated them taking us on such short notice!

I am not sure how this place scored so high on Unilocal and OpenTable… it is on the lower end of all the Italian restaurants that I’ve been to. And for NYC, it’s on the very low end… Completely underwhelmed. They had an empty restaurant(just two tables occupied), and they seated us, or rather cramped us, against a wall next to another table. The guy at the other table had to move his legs to let me sit down. We asked to be moved to a table next to the window. That should have been the first sign that we were going to have a below-average experience. They overcharged on two items(of three) on the bill, and I asked to have the bill corrected… The waitstaff then tried to show me the prices underneath the lunch menu with the higher prices to explain the mistake. Even then, he showed me a different lunch menu with different prices. I just didn’t think it was worth arguing… e.g. $ 4 for the tiny Tiramisu(two lady fingers with a cup-shaped dump of whipped mascarpone dumped on top, which he charged $ 12 for and then explained it was $ 6. I should have gone to my old haunt, Teodora. *Just read a 5 star review for this place with a 3-course prix fixe lunch… This was NOT offered during my lunch visit.

What a wonderful experience. As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greated from whom it seemed to be, the owner, who sat us at our table and made us feel like home. My friend and I got to share some appetizers and a main, everything was fresh and tasty. We wanted to order a bottle of wine but weren’t so sure what to get. Our server was very knowledgeable about wines and just from a brief description he was able to recommend a beautiful, medium body, earthy wine that we got to enjoy for the rest of the night. On our way out the hostess was very pleasant, asked us if he had enjoyed our dinner and helped us put on our coats??? Really… that’s the first one… Usually they are too busy talking with each other and rarely you get a, Goodnight. Great hospitality! Will be coming again.

I know I am going to have the best dishes and service anytime I come to Fabio! Now it is my favorite restaurant ever! Thanks to many staffs who kindly checked on our table often to make sure we were ok. I introduced to my friends and family and they all loved it! My favorite is Panna Cotta Alla Ricotta! It tastes just like heaven. Beautiful interior and atmosphere!

The restaurant recently went through some changes and I have to say it is even better now. Refreshed décor & better ambience. They also updated their wine list and dessert menus, I have to come more often so I can try everything on the menu!

One of my favorite things about having my parents in the city is that sometimes we can grab a corporate power lunch together. In all seriousness, I was coming from my office and my dad was coming from a conference. Fabio was the perfect place for us to dine. And no, the heartthrob of yesteryear did not make a cameo. The $ 24 three course prix-fixe lunch may be the best deal in town. I started with the burrata which was delicious and had to have been homemade. I am on a major cheese kick lately. However, once I tasted my dad’s meat-stuffed mushroom caps, I was ready to send my plate back to the kitchen. They were unbelievable. I opted for the pollo francese as my entrée, and my dad selected the salmone al forno. The chicken was good but had some jiggly bits that should have been trimmed away, I thought. My dad’s salmon was excellent. The dessert for the prix-fixe menu that day was tartuffo, which we really enjoyed. I am sure that was made in the kitchen there. The service was impeccable, and the room felt comfortable yet elegant. I have a feeling I will be returning soon plus sending the people I support there.

I brought my daughter here for Christmas dinner. The waiter was bizarre, and got our order wrong. When I asked to order soup because our entrée was taking so long to be served, I was told no. ?? We waited an hour between our appetizer and our main course. The food was good, but not worth the price paid. We were there for 2 ½ hours and were served 3 courses. The cheesecake was dry and grainy. The waiter repeatedly asked me if I wanted a glass of wine even though I told him I do not drink alcohol. I canceled other reservations elsewhere and I regret the decision. I was about to beg for the check when we finally received it. I felt uncomfortable here and did not enjoy my experience.

I recently had dinner here with my parents and it was good. The location is a bit weird mixed in with businesses and other random restaurants. Inside was nothing special but it was cute and had a bright, happy feel. I do have to say that the pasta dishes we got all needed more sauce(which they promptly brought over once we asked). The crab salad was fabulous and huge. I would come back if I am in the area, an overall decent experience.

Spectacular! Service was amazing. Ceaser salad was outstanding! Minestrone soup was fantastic. Spaghetti, baked salmon and tortellini were all incredible. The crème brûlée was very tasty.

WARNING: The prices they charge in the restaurant are not the prices on the website. For example, the crab cake appetizer(Tortino di Granchio) is $ 18 on the website. They charged us $ 24 in the restaurant. The seafood pasta(Biscatriccia) is $ 32 on the website and they charged us $ 35. Even a glass of chianti is $ 12 rather than the $ 9 they advertise on their webiste. Other than the markups, the service was fine. The food was so so. Not worth repeating since at these prices there are so many better options.

If you are looking for a sit down lunch at a nice clean restaurant with no wait time or reservation you have found the place. With a prefix lunch menu for $ 24 you can’t go wrong. The restaurant is quiet, very good for business meetings. I got the salmon which was amazing, not over cooked or over seasoned. The penne as vodka was good but a little salty for me. Get the chocolate lava cake!!! Just a little but crispy on the outside and so moist on the inside.

This of the beaten path Italian restaurant was amazing! I had a really fantastic experience! A bit pricey, but worth it. My standards are high for food Italian, and they did it right. The intro with homemade bread and an amazing roasted garlic and olive oil spread hit the spot. I then went with a roasted beet salad, followed by Bronzino fish, prepared table side. Superb service, classic!

Israel and the Andaz recommended FCI. When he heard we wanted authentic and delicious Italian food before leaving NYC, he didn’t hesitate to suggest this place. The restaurant is a cozy and beautifully decorated. This is a great place to go for a romantic date! The service here is top notch and the menu drool worthy. We started with the BURRATA: Imported apuglian cow milk mozzarella served with homemade roasted peppers, cherry tomatoes and aged balsamic vinegar. The cheese was so fresh that it almost melted in my mouth. The cherry tomatoes were fresh and sweet and I couldn’t get enough! Also, the balsamic drizzle was outstanding. It was one of the best balsamic vinegars I have ever tasted. I ordered the LINGUINENERIALL’ARAGOSTA: Black linguine with Maine lobster in a spicy tomato sauce. I can’t even begin to describe how delicate, yet flavorful this dish was. The beauty of the lobster shined though because the spiciness of the tomato sauce actually brought out the sweetness of the lobster. The black linguine was different yet so delicious. My only complaint(out of greediness) is that the portion was on the small side. I would have definitely been able to eat double of what was on my plate! My husband ordered POLLOALLASCAMORZA: Chicken breast stuffed with asparagus, scamorza cheese with shallots & aged balsamic vinegar sauce served with roasted polenta. He really enjoyed it because he might as well have licked his plate clean :). Dinner ended with TIRAMISU: Tiramisu with Vanilla Sauce. When our entrees were as good as they were, how could we pass up desert? Good thing we didn’t because the Tiramisu was literally the perfect finish to a perfect meal. Fabio Cucina Italiana left me swooning :).

I am going to first say that this place is a little odd. We were trying to find Italian for a group of 12 last second on a Monday night in midtown and Fabio said they could accommodate us. When we arrived we saw why they could… we were the only people in the entire restaurant. That makes you nervous, well it made me nervous at least. Then they sat us in this semi-partial private room with a gigantic/weird interpretation of the Last Supper with Jesus and his disciples. Nervous level raised a notch higher(plus there were 12 of us…). Yet everything from then on eased my nerves. We had great service from the staff with an attentiveness you get only in fine dining restaurant(that said we were the only people in there so it could be an anomaly). The food was top notch Italian and I highly recommend the chef special and Parmesan wheel. I was with a bunch of older people who wanted to booze, so the wine was flowing and the options were numerous. It was a good time. Overall this place will surprise you… don’t be nervous about the décor or if it looks quiet, the food is awesome.
