Not even a 1… A total 0! I ordered for delivery first time from this place. My usual place was closed so saw good reviews(not sure who could possibly rate it so good) and decided to try. I ordered a seafood soup. The only seafood in my soup was 2 shrimps that’s it. It was pretty much clear broth with lettuce and 2 shrimps… When I called they offered to switch but I was hungry and didn’t feel like waiting another 40 mins for the soup so they just hung up on me. So please don’t believe the good rating. Something is fishy about it…

Great uptown sushi spot! The Crazy Friday roll is absolutely delicious. I’ve also tried the Paradise Roll — first and last time. While the flavors were interesting together(lots of banana flavor), overall, the roll was underwhelming. Nevertheless, I will definitely be back. In addition to the great food, the staff was friendly and attentive without being pushy.

I have to disagree with the reviewer below me(sort by newest first). If you really want booze, go to a bar. irrelevant. The food here stands on its own. The sushi is decent quality and the price is fair for what you get. if you want discount sushi go to a grocery store. Also, Geisha has undergone some positive changes recently. In addition to an expanded interior, they have expanded the menu to include asian fusion options. I tried the coconut curry with shrimp– divine. Perfect place for when someone is in the mood for sushi and someone wants something hot.

Decent food but outdated menu, no liquor license, overpriced food, and a confused ambiance. The menu clearly says that a dinner bento box is $ 16.00 with white or brown rice. This is not the case, and should you want brown rice in all bento box items it will cost you an extra $ 3… though the menu clearly says otherwise. Once seated I was told there was no beer /alcohol despite there being a bar in the front with liquor bottles prominently displayed. They haven’t had their liquor license renewed. Items are overpriced — likely because it’s the only sushi joint around. Throughout the meal nothing but arabic music, Italo disco, and a bizarre house rendition of the«happy birthday aong» played. Hardly any Japanese or even Asian music was tuned in. All in all, an expensive price for a mediocre meal.

This is one of the best sushi restaurants EVER. They have a Japanese fried rice that’s served in a pineapple, CRAZYDELICIOUSANDAMAZING. I’ve never seen anything like it anywhere else. Their lighting is perfect, their music is soft and at a perfect volume, their service is great and their food is high quality and tasty. Oh and their prices are very reasonable. This is my FAVORITE sushi restaurant in all of NYC

Really great food for a reasonable price in a relaxing atmosphere. Right when we walked in the front room was almost filled so we went to the back since we wanted an intimate dinner. Music is chill. I even asked for the song and they gave it too me. the staff was accommodating to all of our needs. immediately after walking in to he back room the heater was on high and they asked if we wanted it to turn down. I requested my food to be spicy and they did it for us. the waitresses was always almost available the whole time. 2 minutes never went by without someone available if we needed something. ambience is a 5 stars. if i were to pick one thing on the menu. hands down it would be the yellowtail tuna with jalapeño. I’ve never tasted this dish to be so fresh. the tuna melted when it hit my tongue. 4.5 stars so I’m going to round up. Order the hand rolls!

Great tasting sushi in Harlem!!! Me and my husband always get the tempura rolls and it’s always on point. Make sure you order that one when you visit or order a delivery.

One of the best Sushi places in all of New York. Literally, a diamond in the rough of Harlem. How do more people not know about this place?! Took my girlfriend here and every single bite of food was worth it all. Not too pricey either. I’ll definitely be back and suggest the place to all my friends.

The place is fairly new and a nice addition to the neighborhood. The service is really good. They’re fast and friendly and the prices are great. The food is delicious! I had the a salad with ginger dressing, that comes with the salmon Terriyaki lunch bento box, which was delicious. The rolls tasted fresh. As a true green tea/macha lover I can say their green tea ice cream is the bomb! Not too sweet but flavorful. Loved the red bean one as well.

Even after reading others’ reviews, I stood outside the restaurant tonight and deliberated for a full 5 minutes about whether I wanted to try it. So much seating, so few people inside. A part of Manhattan where good sushi seemed a tad improbable. I’m happy to say I now have a sushi place in my neighborhood! My date and I got a Manhattan roll, a spicy salmon roll, a sweet potato roll, a white tuna roll, and a California roll. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The presentation was beautiful(wish I’d snapped a photo), with the Manhattan roll on a thin banana leaf and the wasabi and pickled ginger situated around a large purple orchid. I won’t hesitate to recommend this place, and I’m also jazzed they deliver to my apartment further uptown.

I’m sooooo stoked we finally have a really good sushi spot in Harlem/WAHI it’s worth the trip! Chef Mikesan is amazing offering delicious fish and he even helped me to step out of my comfort zone by ordering octopus(Tako Wasabi) it was absolutely delicious! They have recently re-open and expanded their menu to include Thai Chinese and Japanese cuisine you can order anything off the menu & not be disappointed. Special note they also deliver uptown I live on 184 and they deliver all the way up to me the service is absolutely beyond amazing

Surprisingly good and very fresh sushi for the area they are located(Hamilton Heights). The restaurant itself is very unassuming and no frills. but the quality actually exceeds many fancier type(but small name) sushi restaurants on upper manhattan. The service was overall friendly… The BYOB option is awesome. The prices and portions are fair… Pretty diverse menu selection… Always call in advance though. they are small and fill up easily even on weeknights. Definitely a neighborhood gem…

My first visit left me joyful. Their tempura lunch special is amazing. I did shrimp and was pleased with everything on my plate. My latest visit I did the mummy roll. It was good, but the wasabi overpowered the mango and shrimp flavors that were perfection together. In the future I would get this again without the wasabi sauce. This is now my neighborhood sushi spot. They mentioned that the kitchen is being remodeled as they are expanding the menu to include asian fusion. That worries me because I’m a fan of doing one thing right. Everyone does fusion these days but I would be more impressed by just good Japanese.

Came here on a Sunday around 5pm Ambience: Place is super small; I am not even sure it holds 20 people. I don’t suggest going with a party bigger than 3. Décor is simple and clean. Crowd was diverse including families and young people. Service: The service can be quite slow. I had to ask for lemon three times for my water but it seems like it was just one waiter working(although a second one joined as we were leaving). Besides his short attention span, the waiter was nice. Food: My dad had the salmon teriyaki bento box which came with salmon, california rolls, mini dumplings, rice and choice of miso soup or salad. I had the chirashi, which was described as an assortment of fish over rice which I thought was an assortment of sushi. It was actually a couple of pieces of fish, as well as some tofu with some rice on the side. I was hoping the fish portions were bigger, plus it seem like the use the tofu to replace pieces of fish. We also had the tempura green tea ice cream(quite delish) and a mango flavored japanese ice cream(I forgot the name, but on the menu, is the next one after the regular ice cream) and this was quite yummy. Sadly, I was more impressed with the dessert than the main dishes. Price: Quite reasonable; our bill came to $ 45. I wouldn’t go all the way uptown for this sushi, but if like myself, you live in the area, it’s decent and honestly, your only choice lol. I wouldn’t object to trying other dishes.

Amazing sushi place! Great presentation, service and taste. When I first walked in, the lady at the front was very welcoming and greeted me(I think I was the only one there at the time). I was able to charge my phone while waiting for the sushi and during my meal. The waitress was always on point and the sushi tasted so fabulous. This was one of the better sushi experiences I had in Manhattan so far. I am not sure if I will be back only because the location is not that convenient for me, but I definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi and good service!

Leaving a small local restaurant that you want to spend more time at and bring all your friends. That is the Geisha Sushi did for me. I get my nails on Broadway about a block away and I always walk past this establishment. But I have been slightly on the fence about Asian restaurants in Harlem because every time I attempt to try one it is a let down Today I decided to take gamble and plus I was in the mood for sushi and it was on the way home. I am glad I dropped in. When I first walked in the staff was very warm and inviting. This is rather small restaurant so I don’t recommend bring a crew of 3 or more. The majority of their tables are seating for two. They do have a bar area that you can sit along and watch them make your sushi. The décor and lighting is very modern. A quick side note I would like to mention they do not sell alcohol at the this restaurant BUT they do allow BYOB ;) I ordered the pork gyoza and the mummy roll which is listed under their special roll section of their menu. This restaurant has so many special roll options I was blown away. The mummy roll had tempura shrimp, lobster, and gang of other yummy items. This item was $ 13 and well worth it. The presentation was beautiful and was made in good time. They pan fried gyoza was tasty and so tasty I forgot to take a picture of it! I am such a fan of gyoza it is insane and anytime they offer it at a restaurant I have to try it. This restaurant offers delivery for those needing to curb their sushi craving in the courtesy of their own home. Of course you would need to call the restaurant to find out if you are withing the delivery area. They also have awesome lunch specials as well and supper affordable I am sure this restaurant will quickly become a favorite of mine in Hamilton Heights.

Wow. An actual excellent sushi place in the area. I work further uptown and the lack of quality sushi places in the area is baffling! I can’t think of one, except this one. I’m picky with sushi and was weary coming here. However, the reviews were great and my crave was strong so I took the trip. I love that they are BYOB and don’t charge a corkage fee. The staff was friendly. I mean OVERLY nice. The lady who was taking care of us had a smile on her face the whole time and they didn’t rush us out. They seem to remember their customers. I highly recommend the Chicken Teriyaki, Eel Avocado Roll, Tuna Mango Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. It was the first time I ever tried the Tuna Mango and loved it. The mango flavor can be a bit overpowering but I love mango so I didn’t mind. Prices are typical and reasonable, not expensive at all. I was very satisfied with the food and actually shocked that it was so good. I had very low expectations yet was blown away by how delicious it was. Highly recommend!
