Walking around the afternoon and found this diamond in the rough eatery. Me and my friend were pretty hungry and we decided to try this place out. You get a good amount of food for the price all the while the plate is very simplistic with just noodles, a side of veggies, and either beef or chicken whatever you decide to choose. The small stuff here was ready to take an order and they are quick to serve the plates. So that’s a plus if you’re starving. I would mention also that there’s not any close by places to actually sit and eat… my recommendation is walk a block or two over to a nice little central place where there’s benches south of here.

My friend and I just had an awful experience with the gentleman behind the cash register. My friend ordered his food to stay and from the beginning it was clear that the man behind the register wasn’t pleased just by the way he kept staring at us. We sat patiently for about 30 minutes and watched those who came after us being brought their trays of food with smiles. Finally we heard our order being shouted across the restaurant from behind the register where it was placed in a bag to go. My friend was mortified he couldn’t help to think that we had been treated this way because we were the only black people in the restaurant. I hate to believe that’s the reason but I too can’t come up with any other explanation for what happened this evening. At this point if the goal was to keep us away they have succeeded. I’m black and my money will always be green

Food is mediocre. Bastardized chinese food, made by a fresh off the boat, uneducated(in any culinary art) chefs in the back. Service is somewhat quick, but also unprofessional as if this place was McD’s. The man eating next to me ordered the chicken terryaki, he took a bite, spat it out and pointed to me the frozen center. The owner/manager offered quickly to make another order after chastising the boy chef in the back. The second order caused a similar reaction by the customer. Meanwhile, i was waiting to eat dumplings, 4 for $ 2. They were less tasty than ones at say, vanessa’s dumplings, which are around the corner, and more expensive than anywhere in chinatown. I got part of my order and was promised the rest later. I waited more until a Mexican came and reheated some dumplings for me. Really? I waited for him to finish his break and all he had to do was that? Needless to say, service was so wack that im not returning and neither is the other guy. These mistakes would have been handled differently at any other decent chinese place, ie service items for their mistakes or even a refund.

No so fresh, not so special. I got $ 1.99 dumplings, I guess I got what I paid for. They were burnt, he replaced them, knowing they were burnt, and then gave me some(slightly) less burnt ones. Meh. If I were drunk then maybe, but definitely not as good as anywhere below Houston street, or Trader Joe’s frozen fare for that matter. Also, worker had the grossest sore on his hand, that should have been my red flag.

I had the dumplings, which is by far the best one I’ve tried in the city(aside from Chinatown). Will be back to try other food.

If you are in a hurry and want to grab something quick, this is a great place to enjoy some hibachi style food. The food is pretty good but I would recommend the beef teriyaki not so much the chicken. The chicken was decent but it had a weird texture.

Quick, inexpensive but chicken wasn’t that great. I liked the noodles more than the chicken. Dumplings were above average. Husband liked the beef noodles.

I am giving it a three because I loved the chicken dumplings. I would give it a 5 for the dumplings. The chicken teriyaki was barely edible and deserves a 1. I ate it because I was starving. I wish that I hadn’t. I still have a nasty taste in my mouth.

Food here is decent. 4 dumplings for $ 2 is a lot cheaper then the alternative dumpling spots in the proximity except for Vanessa’s. The stools are super uncomfortable. I could only imagine how much of a pain it would be if one was a midget or a child.

Ordered the shrimp and chicken teriyaki with noodles but when it arrived looked more like lo mein with very little chicken, shrimp an no veggies at all. Not worth the $ 10 price.

I had the teriyaki chicken with rice and extra chicken. It was bland and uninspired, but filling enough. The place isn’t very nice to sit in, and most customers were taking it and going. Waited about 5 minutes to get my food.
