I think we shocked the waitress how much we ordered for two people. We decided to have a quick pre-theater dinner. Appetizer: 1) Trio: we chose the cauliflower, baba ghanoush, and hummus. The cauliflower was surprisingly my favorite one. The other two were just average. Oddly enough, the chicken hummus entrée’s hummus was much better. Entrees: 1) Falafel wrap 2) Chicken hummus 3) Chicken shawarma wrap — The chicken hummus was the best out of all the dishes we ordered. Not to say the others weren’t good. I would recommend at least ordering cauliflower as an appetizer and the chicken hummus for your entrée. The food here is very reasonably priced as well. The brought out the food quickly(granted there weren’t too many customers when we were there) and were good about refilling our water(one of my husband’s dining pet peeve is slow water refills).

The vegetable platter was very bland. And falafel came with a sauce that tasted like peanut sauce. The cauliflower came without a sauce or a gravy. Overall it was not up to expectations.

Really calm and casual spot with charm. Nice for a date or outing with small group of friends. Was there for early dinner Saturday post Broadway show. Small staff was very busy but managing to keep waits reasonable. The hummus was great, and my date had soup for starters which she really enjoyed. She had chicken and couscous and I had the Moroccan fish and couscous. Both dishes were in a stew type sauce. I asked for low spice version of the Fish, but it was still quite spicy yet tasty. The hot apple cider with brandy was a highlight for me. Desert choice limited but we still found something to share which we enjoyed, was similar to Turkish delight. Just to note, they have a very limited bar and the food is Kosher but no less cool or interesting. Overall we enjoyed it and would come back again.

Great restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen with many vegetarian options– mostly vegetarian and vegan with some meat available. Really good & smooth hummus here! Tons of different types of hummus– plain, chickpea, tahini, mushroom etc(basically the same base hummus with different toppings). The hummus platter is great for sharing. I love that they serve warm fluffy whole wheat pita as an option! Much better than plain white pita. The whole wheat pita was very soft and yummy. They don’t serve a lot at a time so you have to keep asking if you want more. There is a variety of salads, entrees and a «tapas-like» options where you can pick three different items. Really good selection of clearly-market vegan options! I had the falafel, cauliflower(AMAZING) and tomato/cucumber salad. I would recommend hummus kitchen for a healthy plant-based meal. The restaurant was nice with a good atmosphere. Not overly crowded either. Service and prices both acceptable.

I’ve order from here a few times. The food is consistently delicious. I keep trying new things from the menu. The mezzo trio(chose the hummus, beets, and cauliflower… the cauliflower was soooooo good), the mediterranean chopped salad, and the salmon, are all great. It’s my ‘go-to’ spot. Healthy and delicious. Can’t beat that.

Salad was great. The side of humus was under seasoned and nothing special. For a place called the«hummus kitchen» I expected mouth watering hummus. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was good.

Falafel was great, no doubt I was surprised that a place that has hummus in its name had such bad hummus, it had almost zero salt, was bland, they killed it. I spent more time adding salt to the hummus from their undersized salt dispenser than eating it Saved the falafel for last as I wanted to leave with a good taste I’m not sure if this was a one time screwup or it happens all the time. Will skip next time…

I came here for brunch for the first time. The service was amazing, our server was extremely friendly and fun to talk too. My favorite was the appetizers because you get a little taste of the menu. The flavors of the food are not to thick, and everything tastes very fresh and healthy.

This will come as no shocker, but really, really good hummus! Incredibly smooth and flavorful. No wait, either. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and craving hummus.

What a fantastic discovery! Walking by, looking for a place for a quick bite, and took a chance. Definitely going back! Service couldn’t be nicer, and the food couldnt be better. The best, freshest pita ever, superb hummus, and salads that are creative, satisfying, and large enough to be shared. PLUS– hot apple cider offered as well– alcohoholic or not. Tiny space so might be tough if really full, but you can always order in!

Great food. Good wine. Mountains of Pita conspicuous by its absence… we tried the mazze trio all of which were excellent. Very flavorful food without overdoing the spices…

Brunch was very delicious. We also has the unlimited sangria, mimosa special. The service was great we loved the appetizer spread that is included in the brunch. I’m not sure I would get the salmon Benedict again, but it was pretty good.

Hummus Kitchen is a fun restaurant in a good area closet to Times Square. When we first arrived we immediately got seated however it took quite some time for a waitress to come take our order. Once the waitress came she was very unprofessional and said ughhhh finally I can take yalls order — what do you want. Very cold, and unfriendly. She complained that they were busy and just got a rush when we arrived. When we had questions about the food she was very short with her answers and talked to us as if we were dumb even though the menu did not state answers to our questions. She was very nice and allowed one of the people in my group try the lemonade bc he asked if it was good; however, it took her what seemed forever to act silly bring the drink. Getting our glasses even filled with water was quite the hassle for her as well. When the food finally arrived it was very good. I got the shawarma wrap and I really enjoyed it. Very good favor and a good size. Not overly large but still filling. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food So overall excellent food but unfortunately the service was so poor I have to dock them 2 stars for that. If there were half stars I would give 3.5 :)

We had lunch here before a show on a Saturday afternoon. Sat outside which was nice. We received a complimentary sangria for checking in on Unilocal. The hummus platter was awesome. My husband had a wrap which was also very yummy.

Yummmmm… I had the happy hour mazze trio special with falafel, cauliflower and beet dishes. The falafels were a bit dry but the beet and cauliflower dishes amazing! Add the 2 for 1 glasses of wine 430−630pm and I’m happy! Not to mention the fun K-os music and classy setting.

Hummus! Chickpeas! Chickpea Hummus! *Note* My review is based on take-out only. Food: 3.75 Stars Only getting into eating hummus about a year or two ago Hummus Kitchen has been one of my more enjoyable meals. The chicken hummus is rather oily even after mixing it together. It would have worked better if the items were separate. I did enjoy the warm hummus on the dish to counteract the 3 cold hummus servings(that’s how it’s meant to be). The whole chickpea hummus is a must try. It is whole chickpeas swimming in hummus which is chickpeas. But seriously, if you are ordering hummus it is a must try. Dipping in the pita bread and get a massive glob of hummus with one or two chickpeas on is my method. Then scarfing it down without and regard to the mess I’m making. Sadly I never have enough pita bread for the platter. The Hummus Kitchen Platter is my standard when eating here. It is divided into four types of hummus: chickpea, chicken, tahini and plain. However the sections of the to-go container are only split into 3. Service/Speed: 3.75 Stars Everyone seems friendly in Hummus Kitchen. Since I have only ordered take-out so far I haven’t had much interaction with them as of yet. The food has been ready for me each time I arrived at the restaurant. I am always happy when I don’t have to wait long for my food. Ambiance: 3.75 Stars The restaurant(like many in this area) has a limited seating area. There is a nice little cozy feel within the restaurant, but a little cramped at the same time. Overall: 3.75 Stars Overall the hummus is pretty good. I love the chickpea hummus, but am a bit reluctant to order the chicken hummus again. I am interested to eat the meal within the restaurant as the dishes do look very enticing. The price point feels a little high tome when it comes to lunch, but for dinner the price is about right. If you like hummus this should be one of your first stops if you are in Hell’s Kitchen.

Pros: * Comfortable and homey ambiance– loved coming here on a Monday night because it was practically empty and felt like we had the restaurant to ourselves. * Love and recommend the Babaganus(broiled eggplant mixed with tahini paste) with fresh-hot pita bread(they offer whole wheat or plain), the Classic Shakshuka(mediterranean tomato & pepper stew, served with 2 eggs over easy), Falafel, and Cauliflower(topped with green tahini, grilled red onion and thyme). These flavorful dishes are perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients. Cons: * I found the Super-Healthy Salad to be very plain in taste and texture. I had to add the tomato sauce from Shakshuka and Babaganus to actually enjoy it. Tips: * Free glass of sangria when you check in on Unilocal. The sangria is OK, but hey, it’s free!
