Jerkyz

Visited for the 1^st time today… one word to describe… amazing! The staff was super friendly, restaurant was clean, and food was great. Cant wait til they start delivering. I order a Salmon burger with sweet potatoe fries and it was delicious.

Umm, YUMM! The chicken jerk burger with extra jerk sauce and sweet potato fries ($ 10.80)were
takes a bit of time (10 – 15 mins) but it’s worth it. Everything made fresh to order… guy at the front hand delivered my order and it was delicious. So delishhhhhh and so clutch (open till 10 pm). Will definitely return.

So I would like to start by saying I am a very tough jerk chicken critic and have traveled uptown to the bronx 233^rd, Brooklyn and mt. vernon for some authentic jerk chicken. I heard about Jerkyz from a client and a friend of mine. Last night in search of food and not excited by any of the local Harlem choices, I thought of Jerkyz. So I pulled up the info from Unilocal and called to verify they were open, and yes they were… THIS IS SOME OF THE BEST JERK CHICKEN i have ever had. We had jerk chicken wings with rice and peas and jerk chicken breast and wing with plantains. IT WAS AMAZING. The Mango, passionfruit lemonade was awesome as well. I loved it so much I am going back with a friend on Monday. I will definitely be supporting Jerkyz and I hope they stay in the neighborhood. Looking forward to even more amazing food and warm summer nights with a dose of Jerkyz.

Is it possible to give no stars for a place that could care less? We’re three blocks away. No extreme weather, and when you call they hang up on you. Grubhub had to issue a credit for the poor service. Extremely disappointed. They must be waiting for the eggs to hatch to make this chicken because 2hrs later we still haven’t gotten the food yet.

I have been to this place at least 7 times winces it has been open and I LOVE it! The customer service is very good and the quality is good. I love their jerk chicken breast and Yucca friends. And the punch… is amazing! I think I will be a regular!

In a few words: Not your everyday Harlem Jamaican Jerked Chicken!
I was skeptical at first but was happily surprised. The food here is actually fresh, not super greasy and has lots of vegetables! I wouldn’t say this is the best jerked chicken in the world, but given what it is, a fast slow food take out joint that serves good food for reasonable prices, this place is definitely a gem in this historic neighborhood. The people are friendly and the service is relatively fast too. Just be sure to call in your order prior to walking in, takes about 10 – 15 minutes for them to cook it up.
This area definitely needs more places like Jerkyz!

Great food at a great price. Nice clean restaurant with nice people, and quick service. And they take credit cards. If you like jerk, this is your place.

This is a great addition to the neighborhood. I was so excited when I walked by the other day and saw the restaurant all lit up. I had the jerk chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and mango drink. My husband had the spicy chicken wings. We loved our food and can’t wait to go back! Everything tastes fresh and the portions are excellent.

Delicious burgers, wings and yucca fries! Everything they serve is amazing. Very friendly staff and great customer service. You get the food you order in a timely fashion.
This is by far the best jerk food in the neighborhood! Couldn’t be happier with this addition to the neighborhood!

Affordable, delicious, super fresh food! We had the wings, yucca fries, rice and beans and island fruit juice. We enjoyed everything, especially the wings and juice. They blended the mango and pineapple juices together to create the ultimate super juice. We seriously contemplated going back the same night for more! Overall, great addition to the neighborhood.

This place has the look of a modern fast food chain, with cashiers prepped and ready to take your order at the drop of a dime. The menu here is simple and 100% jerk inspired. Put simpler… everything you order will have a jerk twist to it. Kind of like going to a Jerk Festival.
From the start I need to say that very rarely do I walk away from a place after eating and say that I enjoyed everything – but at Jerkyz, I did just that. Both the meal and the service exceeded my expectations.
For my first time here, I ordered the Jerk Chicken Meal that comes with chicken (your choice of leg, wings, or breast and wing), a side order, and a tropical fruit juice drink. At the suggestion of the cashier I went with the Yucca Fries for my side with a sweet dipping sauce, and a combination mango and passion fruit drink. The chicken was surprisingly very, very moist and well infused with spicy jerk seasoning. The fries came out piping hot and I was addicted to dunking them in the sweet sauce that the cashier suggested. Surprisingly, the cooks threw in a few pieces of sweet plantain that were as moist as they were sweet and only added to my already great meal. The fruit drink was thick and tasted like real fruit and not just a fruit flavored drink. I was also more than satisfied with the price and portion sizes. A few of their other options, which I hope to try soon, include Jerk Salad, Jerk Chicken Wrap, and a Jerk Salmon Burger.
This place offers some options that you don’t usually see at other Jamaican restaurants, so I can’t help but be really excited about it. There is limited seating, with just a few counter stools and all the food is artfully packaged in cardboard boxes to go (hopefully they’ll add a few tables and chairs soon). Overall, I say all thumbs up for Jerkyz, and if they stay on the course there on now, they’ll do real well Harlem.
