Came here for my first Caribbean experience. Ordered the ox tail with beans, rice and cabbage. The sauce was exactly the same as it is for Mongolian beer and the meat was super tender and flavourful. The side of rice and cabbage wasn’t as great, but I fixed that uo with some yellow hot sauce. I got the medium size and I think it weighed a kilo. Easily enough for two normal sized human beings… possibly three! For $ 14 damn good!

Long long wait for someone to take your order. But this place is worth the wait for fresh, tasting, flavorful and delicious jamaican fish. I had the parrot fish and it was steam just right. The water view as yiu rat is very nice. And after you eat you can go swimming and listen to some good reggae music blasting your ears.

REAL yard food, always hot. Good portions. Real home cooked food. I had oxtail and jerk chicken, again and again. I eat a lot of west indian and I’m settled on this one, no need to look anywhere else for me in Harlem.

Definitely one of the better Caribbean spots in the neighborhood. The rice & peas come out of a rice cooker(a little strange at first) but always moist and fluffy. I usually get the stew chicken. They give you legs and decent pieces of thigh I believe. A lot of other places give you pieces with more bone than meat… so shout out to this spot! The flavor of everything is really good! Don’t forget to ask for extra gravy. Sometimes the people working can be a little curt but overall it’s a very good spot to go to.

The food is delicious! BEST Jerk chicken I have ever had, hands down. Mama, the woman who runs this place is so nice and really puts her foot into all her food because it is amazing. Definitely work the trip to Harlem. There is one small table with a few chairs if you want to sit down and eat but it is mainly a take out place. DELICIOUS! * And it’s open on Sundays, unlike a lot of restaraunts in the area.

Little Ochie has never disappointed me! My husband and I order at least once a week, and it has always been delicious, fresh did I mention delicious. The ladies behind the counter know us when we walk in, say hello to our children and are very generous with the food. Overall great place! I wish I could give them more stars.

I had been craving some Jerk chicken for months. Found this place on Unilocal; it was great. Next time, I’ll try the curry goat. Everyone there seemed to be ordering it.

I ordered the curried goat with gravy; rice and peas; and cabbage this time. The curried goat was so tender and succulent you could swallow it without chewing. Rice and peas were good again. And the steamed cabbage with mixed vegetables cooked perfectly. Lots of strong curry and ginger flavors in the gravy.

I gave them yet another chance. I discovered their delicious jerk wings sold on the weekends! Oh-my-GOODNESS! As Megs said, it is a little hole in the wall neighborhood take out spot with no seating. There is usually a Tyler Perry movie playing on the flat screen TV. Carry out your food to eat at the park around the corner on a warm Harlem day.
