We stopped in while visiting downtown NY for lunch. The food was fantastic so we came back for drinks later on.
I’m a little taken back by one of the reviews about not being a pizza place. I can’t speak for all the pizza I suppose but the caramelized onions & goat cheese pizza with truffle oil was unreal. It is a thin crust pizza so if you don’t like thin crust then don’t order the pizza.
We also had the burger with caramelized onions, mushrooms & more truffle oil. Since I am not from here I think it may ruin most other burgers I enjoy until I return. Mouth watering goodness! But I’m not sure this one is on the menus all the time.
** truffle oil cheese fries were really good but impossible to finish everything. So we bagged that up and passed the love on to a homeless guy we saw.
** I inquired about the place being Stellan’s and from what I was told that place did have a bad rap & Jon Anthony’s owners have no affiliation with the old place.
** also I need to give a shout out to our waitress Guinevere who I wish was our waitress everywhere we went. Full of life and super attentive. She gets 5 stars just by herself. *** (I’m sorry if I spelled your name wrong.)
** also the bartender we saw later Lennox was a doll and super cool. She made me a drink with gin because I said surprise me but I didn’t tell her I typically hate gin & to be honest it was actually really good.
** Prices ** I think the pizza was around 14 $ & if my memory is accurate the burger was 11 $. I can’t remember what the cheese fries were. For the money & taste this was very well priced.
I really wish I had taken photos of the food. We were so hungry i forgot.
Hopefully someone out there benefits from this review because I feel like I just wrote a novel. Lol

Not a pizza place. Don’t go here for pizza or any real food. It is a sports bar and the food is bad even for that type of venue.

Love the thin crust. Wouldn’t expect that in Midtown, but I’d come back for this, especially right after work. Good selection of drinks, good service.

Nice happy hour spot for midtown. Prices are decent. The best thing about this place is the food. Their pizzas are delicious. Go there on a Friday night, live dj and hookah. Hookah depending on the promoters. Music has good variety. Latest and classics of all sort of music. Dress code casual and Trendy and you can wear hats which is a plus.

We have been eager to try this new restaurant (new owners and nicely renovated). And we really enjoyed it. We sat outside on a lovely evening. The specialty drinks are interesting and tasty. Try the white peach margarita. Good single malt list. We got small plates: excellent wings and pork dumplings. Very nicely done chili shrimp. The shrimp sliders were just ok. A nice ice cream with amaretto and a passable cheesecake for dessert. The best part of the experience was the exceptional and friendly service. Guinevere is a charming waitress. Next time want to try their interesting sounding thin crust pizzas.

Fun place for an evening out with friends. Good cocktails and appetizers. Love the non fried French fries and the pizza. The waitress was real nice too and gave us coupons for our next visit.

Think these are the same owners of The Stellan and were forced to change the name of the place after ripping off so many people. I tried doing an event there and was told 3 days before my event they couldn’t do it due to «piping issues». But I have spoken to many other people who tried to hold events here (all Black), and similar situations also happened to them. I never trust this place and will never give them a dime out my pocket or anyone I know. Stay away from scammy establishments.

Great new gem near the Empire State Building and close enough to stop on my way to and from Madison Square Garden events. They’ve redone the old Catwalk bar, and they’ve done a great job with it. Stopped in here on a thursday and there was a good crowd, and I loved the outdoor seating.

Just love the atmosphere, lots of friendly people, the staff is courteous and the food is delicious. We tried the Signature Grilled Thin Crust NY Pizza, (Caramelized onion w/​goat cheese), which was really really good. The cocktails they offer are also delicious, and the best part is this place won’t break your wallet! It’s definitely worth checking out if your near the Empire State Building or Penn Station or just visiting NYC.

Great food, decent prices, very nice waitress, made a mistake about a food allergy and fixed it without question. Service could be a little faster but the lively atmosphere and cool looking restaurant made up for it. It’s nice if you wanna watch tv but there is a section without any distractions for a date with someone.

There aren’t many times when I’ve actually almost fallen over when ordering and eating food that has been ordered from a menu, but this place is that exception. To start I had the caramelized onion and goat cheese flatbread pizza. This was the perfect blend of onions, goat cheese and truffle oil, nothing was too domineering. I tasted every single ingredient. For the main course I stuck with what I know and had the John Anthony Classic Burger. Cooked to order and some of the best Angus beef I have ever eaten, and trust me I’ve eaten. The sharp Vermont cheddar was second to none. The staff is out of this world professional and nice. To give this place four stars is a slight insult. If you’re hungry or thirsty and in the area, come in and have one of their signature cocktails such as the white peach sangria or the shocking lemonade you won’t be disappointed.

Really nice spot and the pizzas are great (we tried a few) with very friendly service. Sat on some really cozy couches with plenty of space and had a wonderful and delicious evening.

My friends and I stumbled upon it. Ordered 3 flatbread pizzas all great! Non fried fries also good. Sliders beer and drinks even better. Plus they put up with my obnoxious British amigo.

Great neighborhood spot! Pizza is amazing and the drinks are great. Love the bar — charging outlets at every seat! Met the owners, John and Paul, who couldn’t have been nicer. Will be a regular!
