There are far better ways to spend your hard earned money. This is a review for the Groupon for this place. First, there is a long wait outside. Next, you enter the belly of the beast, checking in and receiving your appetizer, free drink, and laser game tickets. The drink selection was not that great and the food was of fair quantity for a «complimentary appetizer.» Seating was sparse and there was no room to dance. Food service involved placing your order and then waiting for your food to be placed at the end of the bar. No receipt or anything required to pick up the food… so basically anyone can take it. Another funny observation: the DJ looked so bored. Lol. We almost did not play laser tag because the bartender accidentally ripped off the laser tag stub instead of the drink. The gentleman manning the second stop on the tag line would not let my friend through when the issue was not even her fault. He told her to go back upstairs and ask for it back from the bartender. She eventually found another employee who waved us through… but it was still frustrating for a group of 9 friends. Come on, why couldn’t he be more accommodating? She was offering him the drink stub so she wouldn’t even be able to use it for another free drink! Another individual told me I had to take my purse off when I played and lay it on the stage… uh no. I am not leaving valuables in a darkly lit stage area while I’m concentrating on flexing some of my sniper — like light beam-shooting skills. The experience of playing laser tag with my friends was fantastic. One group of us clearly outplayed the other. The playing field, however, is disappointing. There were a few blow-up obstacles and that was the playing field. You probably cannot have more than 10 people playing at once. Pros: what a relief to have air conditioning! Cons: small playing space, sub-par food, and uncomfortable interactions with the employees. Bottom line: if you’re on a tight budget like me, skip this Groupon deal.

Lazer zoo was so much fun!!! Definitely recommend this place. My friends and I had such a good time. I can’t wait to go back in 2 weeks for another birthday party. It’s just a really fun combination of laser tag with the club atmosphere and the music playing and drinks. It’s so much more exciting than a regular brunch.

I bought a groupon for this event this Sunday. The $ 15 price included two entrance fees and two free drinks from a limited menu selection. The vibe inside was nice, the DJ played a wide variety of music. I was unimpressed with the laser tag arena. It was extremely small to pay $ 20 per person for one game. The appetizer prices were extremely pricey so we decided to grab food elsewhere.

Me and my girlfriends wanted to change up our usual brunch plans and try something new and different. Highline ballroom is a great venue that can be transformed to meet almost any need, so this lazer tag brunch idea definitely piqued our interest. Once we arrived, we were instantly greeted and showed to our table. Going with a larger crowd is definitely recommended. The food was on point and so was the music. The lazer tag was a fun option, but it was nice not to feel obligated to participate. Even just watching was entertaining. Overall, good experience. Definitely would highly recommend for any birthday party as a fun and different option.

I usually go to Highline Ballroom at night to party with my friends Once I heard that they turned Highline into a laser tag brunch party I decided to check it out. They are only open on Sundays and it was down pouring so I figured I would give it a try. The DJ was on point as well as the food and décor. Overall enjoyed my experience and played 3 games of laser tag. Would recommend for large groups or a birthday party bc they offer bottle service.

Laser Tag and Brunch?! What could be better? Or so I thought… Me and 9 other friends decided to buy the groupon deal for May 30th and were super excited about it. Our groupon included entry and a drink for two people, and did not include laser tag, which when I called they told me it would me an extra $ 20 per person per game. We figured we’d scope it out first and then buy it at the venue. The event started at 2PM and we arrived at about 2:30PM but had to stand online for almost a half an hour before being let in. It was conveniently raining that day as well, so my first impression was not exactly a good one. Once we finally made it inside Highline Ballroom, we caught our first glimpse of this so called«gigantic laser tag arena for adults». And let me tell you, it was extremely underwhelming. The main room is very open, and it did take up majority of floor, but keep in mind that this place was never built to be a laser tag arena. It had maybe like 5 huge blown up «obstacles.» And this took up so much space that there was not a lot of room for everyone else not playing laser tag to hang out and dance. And who in their right mind would spend $ 20 to run around this tiny little makeshift arena. Yup, it’s a total scam. Oh and the bartenders will make sure to remind you that gratuity is not included with a free drink voucher from groupon. One of my biggest pet peeves. Don’t waste your time. Believe me, you’re much better off boozy brunching with some friends and making your own Sunday Funday.

Came here tonight with my bf. We got tickets from living social. A ticket only gets you one five minute game along with 2 drink tickets and 1 appetizer each. The game takes place in the highline ballroom, which is a 2 story club that the organizers rent out on Sundays 2−8pm.although today everything was over at 7:40pm). We got there around 6 and gave our number to the host as we were told it’d be a 45 min wait. In the meantime we went upstairs for food. There was a balcony so that you could look down and see others playing on what would normally be the club’s kind of small dance floor. There were about 10 inflatable objects to hide/run around. A dj played club music from the stage, and a projection screen on the wall displayed the scores of the teams playing(blue, yellow and red). When we first tried to order we were told literally half the food on the menu wasn’t available(in other words they had run out of all the tasty things although they still had 2 hrs left in the event!) We ordered anyway and then our waitress came back to let us know they had made a new batch of food and we could order anything except chicken fingers. I got the deviled eggs and vegetable potstickers(dumplings) and my bf got wings and mini burgers with fries. They say you get appetizers and my orders were small but my bf’s food was entrée sized. after a 45 min wait they text us to go downstairs. Yay, game time, right? Nope — once on the main floor we had to then wait in line another 30 or so minutes. We signed waivers and got instructions on how to pick your team color. I don’t know if it’s because it was the end of the day or what but the guy scanning people in was very impatient and started scanning people against their will and request to be on a specific team. For our last game he had 9 people on one team, 5 on another and 1 on another. This made the game impossible to enjoy since everyone was basically on the same damn team!!! The endless waiting, incompetence or lack of patience of the scanner guy, intial food situation, short game time, chaotic atmosphere and small game space is why I’ve given Lazer zoo only 3 stars. The 3 stars(the good) is because I did have fun while actually playing, my bf liked his food and there was one woman who checked us in that was very accommodating and kind. While i wouldnt go back here or recommend it, this experience has definitely opened me up to laser tag as a pastime in general.
