This was my first time purchasing a fascinator so when I found Lisa online I was excited to see what she had in store. Her shop showcases some beautiful hats and fascinators. I found a base design that I liked and Lisa created a new one to my design tastes. Lisa is super talented and created a beautiful fascinator for me. She was super accommodating with adding more colors and feathers for me. I am super excited to wear it at my friends wedding! I would highly recommend going to Lisa for your hat/​fascinator needs, and her prices are very reasonable for custom made pieces.

I have five or six hats from Lisa, going back at least over 10 years. She ROCKS and will make you anything you want! Hard to find people like this anymore.

Very happy, I just ordered my custom summer hat. Lisa S. let’s you pull down the hats yourself and try on everything, and she makes recommendations on what might look right on you. I tried on almost every style in the store: wide brimmed toyo straw, summer cloches for garden parties, small gala confections, custom double-​dyes in more then 15 different colors… I think mine is what she lists as the Catherine. It’s a straw casual summer hat with a deeper fit and a three inch brim. I told Lisa that I ride my bike to work almost every day and visit the beach alot and asked her the best way to keep my hat on. She suggested an elastic on the inside to secure on my ponytail. Winner!
Then she pulled out various dyed straw swatches and we compared threads for the stitching. My new custom summer topper will take 2 weeks to make (50% deposit) — I pointed at 2 different colors on other hats and finally selected a faded tan-​lavender with contrast navy stitching.

I live out of town, but on NYC trips ALWAYS visit Lisa Shaub for fabulous and affordable hats. My favorites are her winter wool berets, I have several of them in various colors. Lisa is usually working in the shop and always gives good objective opinions on which hat looks best on me. Definitely a five-​star shopping and fashion experience.
Tip: if Lisa’s in the shop she can custom-​make a hat for you. On my last trip she had a cute style winter hat, but in a color I didn’t love. She offered to make the same hat and gave me several choices of colors and trims. I left the store to do some more shopping and she called me on my cell a couple of hours later to say my hat was ready. Wow!

Bought a cute wool hate here this winter. So warm and stylish. The shop is full of hats and I wanted them all! Definitely will go in the summer for a straw hat. Was even tempted by the funny little party hats that have to be held on with a dainty chinstrap! The saleswoman was very helpful and didn’t make me feel self-​conscious at all. Love the store.

HATS! With a cute face like mine, I’ve got to keep it from sun damage! And so I came in here to browse and wound up with a very chic hat that blocks out the sun and frames my cute little face. And since it’s a pale cream colored hat, it keeps my head cool in this hot humid New York summer heat.
