Matsu 2 Doors Down

I enjoyed my lunch, they were prompt, polite and timely. Will have lunch there again. Spot is small, but intimate. They do have outside seating but only for about 8 people total.

THREE AND A HALF STARS.
I’m not sure why people keep ragging on this place! It is no different than any other delicious sushi place you’d frequent. The glass sushi bar made it easy to see that they did change out the fish and maintain the case and the service was just fine. The sushi was made very quickly and the price was not terrible on your pocket, either. Be warned, the rolls are VERY large and hard to eat in one bite — probably because they double up on a layer of rice and seaweed. I will definitely be making this my local sushi stop.

Usually after taking the order at least check up on us. It’s seriously not too much to ask for in the waitstaff.

Pretty yummy sushi, cool and casual.
Stepped in here and I loved the cozy atmosphere. It has a nice inviting feel to it and simple touches like flowers accenting vents (sounds odd, but looks good in person).
I was in the mood for sushi so i got the ‘Wow Wow Roll”. I’m sorry that I cant tell you exactly what was in it (gettin older. gettin more forgetful). But I can tell you it had a delicious crispy outside (think like a spring roll). A wondrous sweet sauce and a nice kick to it. My friend got a bento box that was generously large. The staff was pretty friendly especially since we came in just 8 min before their closing time.
The only thing stopping me from giving more stars is that I found my sushi was a bit pricy ($ 12 for 5 pieces). I felt like ive gotten sushi cheaper at other places. The bento box on the other hand seemed like a pretty great deal. ($ 14 for a large portion of food, and it came with soup an salad)
