I’ve dealt with Julia on more than two occasions and my employee one other time, and we find her to be extremely rude and unprofessional. When doing business with her she always seems too preoccupied either on her cell phone or with her annoying little dog. She doesn’t even respond to business emails sent to her for a whole month. Who runs a business like that?
Her people skills leave a lot to be desired. Word of advice Julia, get out of that stuffy studio more and learn how to deal with people like a professional.

Such a pleasure working with Julia in creating a custom scent. We met a few times in her boutique studio in Brooklyn.
We went through dozens of combinations of scents to create a very special one-​of-​a-​kind perfume. The experience and the fragrance AMAZING.

Loved my experienced with Nova Perfume! Julia is a complete professional and an absolute delight. I received my custom as a gift and went in the initial session with no real idea of what I wanted, just a feeling I want to evoke. I received this as a gift from my boyfriend. If you receive/​give it as a gift, it comes with a great presentation to make it all the more special. It also makes such a thoughtful gift for anyone and any age. Julia is a pro and you can truly tell by the packaging and whole set up how professional this is. She’s patient and fun and makes the whole process really personal.

The experience of getting a custom Nova perfume was really incredible. Julia is so thorough, and takes her time walking you through every step. It’s so unique and special, and would make a great gift (for yourself too!).
Unless you’ve made a custom perfume before, it’s unlike any other experience, and I can’t think of anyone better than Julia to guide you! Process aside, the fragrance you’re given at the end is like icing on the cake!

I have been wearing the same scent for the past 20 years. I have tried about 100+ different perfumes and none has ever made me want to change my trusted musk oil. That is until i had a custom blend made by Nova. The process is not fast, which is EXACTLY why you get results that you can not imagine. Julia goes through rounds and rounds of revisions and her nose for details is amazing. I can’t tell you how much i love my Nova custom blend. I highly recommend it to everyone AND it really is the best gift to buy that special someone.

I came to Julia with an idea in mind: create a personalized perfume reminiscent of hazy beach days and long convertible rides near the beach circa 1960. She took my seemingly abstract concept and whipped up the most perfect scent I have ever owned, all the while being very mindful of my preferences. I could not recommend NOVA enough. Not to mention a visit to the studio is like an escape to a foreign world where every single thing smells incredible.
