I don’t know why I keep ordering coffee here. I order online and state I want VERY little milk and every time I get coffee with 80% milk. Where’s the caffeine benefit in that? I just called the establishment to say I wanted a refund for the coffee and I couldn’t even get that far. The guy on the phone was rude saying«I see the notes I see the notes. I’m sending a new one out». If you saw the notes then I wouldn’t be on Unilocal leaving a 2 star review. I could without the uncalled for yelling. Next time just listen. I wasn’t upset(well I was but I would never take it out on someone who had nothing to do with creating it) I just wanted you to know it was done incorrectly and to please read the notes carefully. There was no need to get someone to bring me a new coffee. It’s unfair to the delivery staff.

I love the salads and the soup here. Service is friendly and quick. So relieved to have a decent lunch option that is much more reasonably priced than Guy and Guillard.

This place is absolute biggest rip off. I work cross the street from them and my company has house account that they are constantly ordering food from them. I stopped going to Oxford for a while and started going back this week because the cooks are always getting my order wrong because and they never listen to what the customer is placing their. The guys behind the counter barley speak English and constantly rushing you for the next customers order. I can order the same thing and cashier will charge a different price. Yesterday was the icing on the cake when I ordered omelette wth side order of turkey bacon, I get to my office and there is no order of turkey bacon. I called the store and spoke to management and he said he word credit me back the money for the turkey bacon, it’s been very 24 hours and still no credit. I will never go back to this place it’s the worst service and plus not inside of the food counter is gross and dirty looking.

This is my go-to pre-work breakfast spot. sometimes it takes forever to get your order in, but the morning kitchen guy Eduardo knows what’s up. the bagels are not the best in the city, but very reliable standard deli fare. Iced coffee is sometimes watery but they do have flavored iced coffee which is my basic bitch favorite.

Awful service and food. I ordered pasta with meatballs and mashed potatoes on the side. They put everything in the same plate, so it was mix of potato and spaghetti. There is no person in the world who would it it!!! And I paid 18 $ for this gross food. The delivery man was also unprofessional. He couldn’t ring a bell downstairs(he knew the apartment number and all he had to do is ring in the bell, so I can open the door for him), but he made me come outside and open the door for him downstairs. Then he said he has no change and I had to give him tips as 6 $. !!! I don’t understand how delivery man can be with no cash at all. I can’t describe how disappointed I am. Never will order again from this place!

Horrible Customer Service. Persons taking orders over the phone has no patience, not to mention they save your credit card information without your permission. Order after 9am and you’ll surely be waiting an hour for breakfast. Which by then we can all agree we’re in brunch territory. This place will no longer be receiving my business, as they clearly don’t need it.

I have ate breakfast here every day that I have been in NYC. Almost cafeteria style, you line up and tell them what you want behind the counter. The food is excellent. French toast, fresh fruit, oatmeal, bagels, lots of juices and coffees. Eggs, meats. Great place.

This place has vaulted to the top of my list for places to go to get work done. Fast wifi most of all; plug outlets; good seats with views facing Fifth Avenue so you can people-watch as you get work done; and decent food. The seats are open air, and there are some outside. Plus a bathroom. A+++.

I have to give five stars for the quality of the packaged cobb salad I recieved roday. The chefs must have over nighted the ingredients from the best gardens in the northeast. Not to mention, the exceptionally well cooked AND chilled, bacon, chicken breast, and hard boiled egg. The avacado-not a minute past it’s peak of ripeness. The mediterranean style vinaigrette was clearly home made-or bottled then had add-ins– which I admire.(some times you don’t even see that in restaurants). This is easily an $ 18 entrée salad in a restaurant. I usually get the soup and wrap combo from the Oxford Café, but was stopped in my tracks when I saw this symphonic salad. Not sure if it’s the season, but Oxford café has really stepped up its freshness game lately. I’m always here because it’s so close to my office.

We stayed next door at 373, and got a coupon for a free breakfast to use in Oxford as a birthday treat from the hotel management. So what do you order in a new city, with a coupon for a free breakfast? Well a Breakfast Burrito of course! My burrito was good, and so was my first experience of home fries. Oxford is in a convenient location if you are staying by the Empire State Building, although there are plenty of slightly more exciting options close by. The staff were a bit frosty towards us, perhaps they didn’t like our British accents, or maybe we were way to excited for them so early in the morning.

The cashiers at this place do not pay attention and cannot count money. When you order be careful of the fact. Overall the order takers are quick but you have to deal with incompetent cashiers.

I’ve worked near Oxford for 8 years and seen it change. About 2 – 3 years ago the owner started working behind the counter. Prior to then, going into Oxford was a relatively pleasant experience. The staff seemed happy and made your food with care. Now however, there is a lot of tension and negative energy, food is haphazardly slapped together, and if you lucky enough to get what you ordered, it will like be cold, smashed, soggy or just wrong. The constant yelling of orders from the owner is abrasive and jarring. Ordering food is almost as negative experience as receiving and eating it. Most of the time you start your order then the owner begins yelling other orders over you. I keep going back every couple of months due to convenience and I’m always disappointed. It’s not like I’m looking for molecular gastronomy, I just want a damn toasted bagel with scallion cream cheese! How on earth could a café consistently mess up something that simple?

UNSANITARY! This place is disgusting. I bought coffee and found a fly in it! I told the cashier and she didn’t even apologize or say anything. She took the cup, dumped it, and just simply refilled the cup with new coffee. No thanks! Never coming here. Horrible customer service and dirty place.

Great service and really really great pizza! I had the BBQ chicken and buffalo chicken. My wife had the mozzarella and pepperoni. All were great, fresh and a really well made base. Yummy! I’d go back again in a flash!

I had a house garden salad and a cup of chai tea for lunch. Pretty simple but it satisfied my stomach and scale. Anyway, I got some dressing, just called«dressing.» No 1000 island, no ranch, just«dressing.» It was so good that I went back and got another one! ;) I asked the guy there about the dressing, and he said it was some kind of chipotle. I know I’m going to make one myself or probably go back and get it again. ;)

This place is great if you work in the area and want to grab breakfast. I love their bagel sandwiches, pancakes and french toast. Even their pastries are delicious. And the people that work there are great despite the fact that it’s early(when I go). If you are looking for a place to grab great food in the morning before work; this is your spot. This place isn’t for the meticulous foodie; it’s for the people who want a reasonable & delicious meal that’s not entirely un-healthy or made in a gross environment. And if you get the pancakes, be prepared for a FULL meal. You might want to ask for extra syrup too.

Ended up at the Oxford Café following a search for breakfast and coming up with café’s that were simply too crowded or offered too little for our grumbling bellies. On first arrival, it felt like a godsend, finding a place that you could move in and that offered breakfast platters full of eggs and other such breakfast goodies. Unfortunately, this is where our good luck ended with this establishment and should have been a sign to me of what was to come. I ordered a plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast. Everything was pretty standard except the home fries. They were beyond unenjoyable. When you have to scoop them out of their container with an ice cream scoop because there is so much non-potato mush in between to barely hold it together.. . there’s a problem. I got a couple cubes of potato and they had a strange flavor to them at that. My bf got a similar plate with french toast.. . and our total came to a whopping $ 28! Whatt!!! I don’t spend that much at IHOP and I get a significantly better spread. What a huge ripoff. If the food were of amazing quality and taste I could perhaps justify such a cost. The interior of the café has a good deal of seating. But many of the tables were covered with other patrons trash that neither they or the staff bothered to clean up. Requiring use of their bathroom during my trip, I encountered a toilet full of paper towels, as the toilet paper had seemingly run out some time before. Ridiculous conditions, exorbitant pricing, and mediocre food make this trip the 1-star experience that it was.

GOOD breakfast! Not GREAT breakfast, but definitely GOOD and boosted to 3 stars for the good service and outdoor seating, which I was lucky enough to snag. Egg & Cheese on a sesame bagel and a large iced coffee for under $ 10. Egg was slightly undercooked for my taste but still good. Service was very good from all, and the coffee was delicious but not strong enough. Even with the weak coffee, I’d come here again for a coffee and some people-watching from the sidewalk table.

An average NYC deli café — sort of like PAX or Europa. It offers the same usual stuff the others do — cold hero sandwiches, panini, salads, soups, pastries, omelets and breakfast sandwiches, etc. I came here and had the quiche lunch deal — a quiche and soup for $ 6.95. Everything else was a good deal more expensive. It was supposed to be a ham and cheese, but there were only tiny crumbs of ham in it — it was 99% cheese. The soup I chose was the chicken gumbo which was actually pretty good. It was filled with lots of veggies and cubes of chicken.
