The employees here were completely rude and apparently blamed us for having for to work their that day. My salad was spilled onto the tray and the pizza was not good. When I asked for more water, they half filled it with Hi C and told me that and laughed about it but didn’t dump it out and refill it. I was handed pink ‘water’! There are too many pizza places in NY to settle for that.

The sign on the awning says that this pizzeria was established since 1975. I don’t know how that’s possible… the pizza is definitely sub-standard and I believe NYC pizza was in its heyday in the 80’s. We had two slices: meat lovers and pepperoni & sausage. The pizza was awfully dry: a combination of insufficient pizza sauce and too much dough. The crust is of the doughy variety, so when you bite into the pizza, you’re basically getting a mouthful of dough with very little sauce. The cheese and any toppings get overwhelmed. If I had a recommendation for the chef here, it would be this: triple the amount of sauce you put on the pizza. Make the bottom crust thinner. Also, I know the meat lover’s slice is going to be salty by definition, but it should be possible to reduce the saltiness while keeping the flavor of the meats. Perhaps use a different pepperoni? I don’t know, but I have had less salty meat pizzas.
