I often eat subway sandwiches at this location. Though I don’t have any complains about the sandwich itself, but do have complaint about the cashier. On 3 separate occasions the guy didn’t give me my change back, I thought it was just a mistake prior 2 times, but on the 3rd occasion it leaves me no choice but to write a review. My total came out to $ 7.51, I gave him $ 20 bill, he tried to engage me into a conversation«Here’s your soda cup, Here’s your Sandwich, and I see you already picked chips» hoping I’d forget about my change. And I noticed he hesitate while closing his cash register. So, knowing what they already do(not give exact change or not give change back at all) I asked him for my change back… He knew exactly what I gave him, and without telling him how much I gave him, he gave my exact change back. 3 times it happened at this location. I go to the one on 3rd Ave, and never experienced this there. Not to mention my Co-worker complained about them playing games with the change.

Gentrification is ruining the city. Apparently. Obviously. It has two facets. The second-worst trend is that toward homogenization, which this chain — the largest in the world — nearly embodies. The other trend, surely the very worst, is that toad unsustainable prices, making Union Square et al. unaffordable. Here Subway embodies the opposite trend: food available to most people. It’s also not crazy unhealthy — you could do much worse with pasta at a bougey Italian place. The ultimate conclusion is that the neighborhood is experiencing far worse, in the form of pretentious and tiny paleo servings and Cartier-type boutiques. Prices here is crazy good! Especially given the location. They’ve got veggie delites for $ 5.50, much less than I paid in an expensive neighborhood in the Seattle area(a much less expensive region, generally speaking). It’s right around the corner from Union Square, and you just won’t find a better place for NYU students, artists, freelancers, and NYU students on a budget. Note: I didn’t say poor. Most NYU students got money, and poor here is a wildly relative term.

The service is prompt, but the cashier is a crook. Over charged me for my sandwich, it should of been a Italian $ 5 footlong but he charged me for a turkey and ham foot long. I realized this as I looked at my receipt when I walked out but decided to let this go because i’ll never go back to this place again. What happened to Subway? They used to be good.

2 Stars. Ordered the Tuscan Chicken Melt on 9 grain bread. The sandwich fell apart as I was eating it which was a big negative, but the flavor of the sandwich was OK. The service was slow too even though the workers were trying to move as quick as they could. The store is tiny and there are at least 3 other subways in a 2 block radius which are nicer and bigger. There are also better places to get a deli sandwich in the area too.

I rarely eat at Subway, but I was in the mood for a veggie patty and not in the mood to make one myself so I came here. This Subway is slow as molasses and for that reason they get 2 measly stars. Also, the guys there barely speak a lick of English and have a hard time understanding what you’re even asking for. I know it’s Subway, but still!

Dropped in for a really quick bite to eat here today. I haven’t had Subway in such a long time, but I’m glad I did, because it was FANTASTIC. The guy that served me was very friendly. He made my subway sandwich with so much care and love. Very generous with sandwich toppings and condiments. Absolute perfection. The only downfall is the lack of seating, but the fantabulous sandwich, and friendly service, compensated for that. I’m a FAn!!!

I can’t believe no one has written a review on this Subway yet! I never thought I’d go to a Subway location ever again, until my friend decided to stop by here while we waited for our movie to start at the Union Square theater. This location is super small and there’s only about 5 places to sit, but the workers are pretty efficient. I was super annoyed though by this group of teenagers who could’ve very well been 10 years younger than me, just talking about going to a bar when there is no way anyone would let them in.
