Note — this is based purely on a cookie’n’coffee run post winter storm Jonas. 4 stars because they were open(Starbucks wasn’t) Cappuccino was good if not great. Cookie(extreme oatmeal with butterscotch) was terrific, right texture, flavours and consistency. Walked past this little place countless times without ever stopping by, when its one of the few places open and the service is friendly and brisk… well, it’s a big storm winner for me and will get my repeat patronage.

Oh my I just had the sea salt choc chip cookie. This was probably the most expensive cookie at 4.75 but it was really an amazing treat. So many great options. The even had gluten free options. Cool little bakery.

Yummy SEASALTCHOCOLATECHIP cookie although it’s the most expensive one they have at $ 4.75. the others varieties we didn’t try include m&m, snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin toffee, & a red velvet variety –FRESHBAKED out of the oven, perfectly buttery crispy on the outside with a chew on the inside. i usually don’t like salt in my sweets but the sea salt added a nice crunch. LOVE the combo of 4 types of chocolate: milk, dark, semi-sweet, & cocoa –Nutella bomb cookie: red velvet with chocolate chips and Nutella! Also a yummy cookie but it doesn’t best the sea salt chocolate they also have cupcakes, muffins, desserts & savory scones NOTE: small bakery with maybe 8 counter stools facing the windows stamp card! 10 visits for coffee or cookies(separate stamps) get one free

Small place with super limited choices. Not sure why it has good ratings at all. The red velvet cookie had good texture but tasted like chemicals. But friendly staff!

Nice little corner café with coffee and baked goods to go. We tried the savory muffin and bacon/egg/cheese empanada type thing. The muffin was good but the empanada was dry and nothing to write horn about. Cappuccinos were good. Staff was courteous and nice, but we weren’t blown away by the overall experience. Will return and hopefully have an improved baked good experience :)

Stopped in around 8:30 and grabbed some cookies for friends. I also wanted a double espresso but they told me the machine was cleaned. Why clean the machine early if your posted hours say you are open until 9PM on Saturdays? Only reason this is not one star for the crappy service is that the cookies were good.

I am *baffled* that this has such a good Unilocal rating. This is the first time in a long while that Unilocal has steered us completely wrong — we were in this area, and my wife had a sudden hankering for good cookies, so I said, ask Unilocal for cookies. It gave us this place, 4 ½ stars, so I had no worries. Amusingly, she ended up deciding on a lemon pound cake pastry; trusting the reviews, I got a $ 4.75 double chocolate nutella bomb cookie, I figured it’d be worth it. My cookie was pretty tasty, at least, but there’s no way(other than this being a hipster coffee shop in the center of hipster town) that it should possibly be $ 4.75. I’ve had much better cookies for much less(yes, even in Manhattan — the cookies we had the previous day at Schmackary’s, for instance, were much better *and* much cheaper). It just tasted like a generic chocolate cookie, with a spoonful of nutella in the middle. Her cake, on the other hand, was pretty much terrible(I ate a bite at her request, to be sure it wasn’t just her. It wasn’t.) Dry, and with a lemon frosting that was just overpoweringly sweet. We both agreed, it tasted much like the one you’d get at Starbucks, except Starbucks was better. Maybe their coffee is mindbogglingly good(I can’t say, we were just there for baked goods), but the baked goods are… not remotely worth it.

We each bought a cup of Americano, smooth and strong coffee flavor. To eat, my friend ate a slice of banana chocolate chip cake and I ate a slice of coconut cake. To me, each was full of flavor and clean on the palate. I told staff that cakes tasted healthy and light, even though cakes have good crumb texture. They said cakes are made with healthier alternative ingredients. I didn’t taste oil/grease. I was full after eating cake, but I didn’t feel guilty. Coconut cake– layers of cake tasted like vanilla flavored, frosting tasted like vanilla buttercream with shredded coconut on top and side of cake. I really enjoyed eating each bite of cake with the frosting and coconut shreds– a perfect bite. Banana chocolate chip cake– the chocolate smeared on top is super thick chocolate ganache. The cake has chunks of banana and of course small chocolate chips. I took a bite. It’s moist and dense. Limited seats and table top space. Also, there’s a small restroom. I recommend dropping by for coffee and snack.

Big, sweet, delicious cookie dough filled w chunks of sea salt, chocolate & caramel, or oatmeal raisins with an extra kick of fresh cinnamon or the thick peanut butter taste when when you spoon at home. I wish they had smaller versions so I won’t feel SOGUILTY when I INHALE the cookie deliciousness! Service is VERY nice. The young man who’s always there makes you feel right at home. Can we say: COOKIE«FIX» FORSURE!

Just came here to get my iced coffee. Seriously, there is no reason why small iced coffee should cost $ 3.75 — it tasted the same as the one from the deli. Then, the girl who poured the iced coffee just left it on the counter for her coworker to take care of, but he was busy making capuccino for two other customers. I asked her if I can just get my iced coffee and she says they just have to put ice on it. I didn’t see a reason why she couldn’t do it herself. It was around 9 am that I came in this morning, so that lazy girl who rang me up and poured the hot coffee had no busy working in customer service.

3.5 Stars! The guy who works here is very nice. He’s also very polite. Service was excellent! This place is small. There is a water bowl outside the bakery for dogs which is pretty cute. We got the pistachio cupcake($ 3.25). The cupcake itself was decent. In our opinion, the cupcake was a bit dry. The flavoring was good. They also sell other stuff like cookies here. If we ever stop by here again, we probably will try the cookies instead of the cupcakes.

Ohmahgaaaaad yes please on their original chocolate chip cookie. It’s soft, chewy, crunchy, and not too sweet. If you’re looking for a good cookie this is the bakery you’ve been looking for!

I love this little bakery. I stop here occasionally on the way to work, and be early morning smells are what bring me in. I’ve only ever tried the croissants and blueberry muffins about once or twice. But those one or two times taught me JUST how dangerous this bakery would be for my waistline. The blueberry muffins especially — probably the best ones I’ve ever had. EVER. I do frequently get coffee from here. Sometimes a tiny cookie. Both are always great & reasonably priced. I also always gawk at the cakes & sandwiches, never tried any of them but they look DELICIOUS. Don’t expect much seating though. But do expect to walk away full & happy!

I love all the options at this bake shop! It’s a quick pick me up but a little pricey. Tres leeches is well priced but their cookies are $ 4.75 why not buy a cake! It’s a very cute location. It’s more of a quick stop and run not a hangout place.

In what was clearly an April Fool’s scenario, I read the reviews and ordered up the much-lauded, absurdly-priced Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie. Opened the bag, and — PRANK’S ONME – it sucked. Holy undeserved hype and insane price gouging* for overbaked cookies, Batman. An extra star because the staffer was quite friendly in handing out a stamp card and explaining that the Unilocal checkin offer(which used to be more generous) was with the purchase of 2 cookies. It’s also a shame they don’t have the Red Velvet Nutella Bomb cookie on their Grubhub menu because that likely would’ve been better. For now I’ll stick with City Cakes, thanks. 1 Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie $ 4.75 TOTAL $ 5.17 Red velvet cookie Transaction Amount$ 4.75Total Rewards– $ 2.00 $ 2 First Visit Reward– $ 2.00Total Balance$ 2.75

Energy was up and very positive. Birthday cake — it was easy decision to make since the Unilocal reviews are great so I didn’t even question myself how the cake will be like. Only request I gave for the cake was that my hubby like chocolate icing with yellow cake. There was a choice of fillings(between the up and bottom cakes) but I wanted the cake to be very simple so I went for nothing. I found that to be the best decision. The cake needed much moisture. When I picked it up after few days, the cake was ready. I had no idea what the cake looked like. He opened the box and showed me this classic and simple American cake, I like it. Now, hoping for my birthday boy would like it too. When my hubby had a first bite, he said nothing. Then, he smiled at me and I had a bite. Fist bite, I didn’t not like this dense cake although it was closer to Japanese eggy-fatty cake(Castella), Portuguese sponge cake(Pao De Lo) that was brought by Portuguese merchants when Japan was closed for outside except few cities in16th century. However, the cake was drier than Castella. More I went into it, I started to like the cake although the chocolate icing was too sweet for my liking. I dipped in the cake to my expresso and everything shined. The bitter expresso(I drink black) soaked the cake and the sweetness of chocolate icing melted into my expresso… that was really tasty! I give this place 4 star because my hubby really liked the cake and after my manipulation, the cake was fantastic!

I never heard of Sweet Corner but after passing by on the way to dinner and reading some stellar reviews, I decided to stop by for dessert. It’s small on the inside, but cute. A few stools to sit on and people watch. They even have a water bowl outside for dogs. Love dog friendly places. I had the Nutella cheesecake which was in bite-size form. It was good but I almost wish the Nutella was incorporated into the cheesecake rather than slathered on top. Nutella hardens awkwardly and never stays on once it dries. I also took their infamous Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies to-go. It was large but very expensive at $ 4.75. It was good but a little too salty for me. The basic chocolate chip part was great though.

The nicest bunch of folks, I discovered this bakery by accident. I’m a card carrying Big Gay Ice Cream guy and the Salty Pimp was calling me. Then I see a sign The«BESTSEASALTEDCHOCOLATECHIPCOOKIEYOU’LLEVEREAT» Well then kiss my mammories, challenge accepted! I walk in and I’m welcomed by both counter people. I tell them show me the best cookie I’ll ever eat. Sock it to me! He says, they are fresh out of the oven and still on the rack. Be still my heart Best. Cookie. Ever. OMG, Ooh, Gooey and warm? Like a snuggly blanny on a cold nght. Mmmmm Cookies. I said you better make me a Pumpkin latte as well. Again, off the chain coffee. Sweet Corner? Change your hours and keep baking those treats
