This place is absurdly inconsistent. Because it’s the only Thai spot between work and the subway, I have eaten here too many times. 90% of the time the pad see ew has maybe two stalks of green, and the last pad thai I had here was unforgivably dried up. Also: burned egg rolls. Notably they do give worse food for take out than when you eat there, because obviously you can’t complain until you get home:) Several times I got chicken instead of beef, which is a pretty bad mix-up. If you DO eat here, and it’s just for you, take note of the lunch special(one appetizer – soup, spring roll – and one main) which is nearly ½ the price of the dinner menu for the same dishes. So if you work in the area and know you won’t want to cook that night, order the lunch special and refrigerate it til you go home, you’ll save some cash, ‘cos this food ain’t worth more than $ 10.

This lil gem is literally a 6 min walk from MET. Perfect for a cold wintery evening. The food is on point and the customer service is absolutely amazing. The only drawback is the portion of rice that comes with the curry entrées. You would have to pay for any extra sides which is an absolute disappointment BUT the awesome food might just make up for that hehe ;)

I absolutely love this place, I have been here numerous times. However, I called at 11:20 to place an order for lunch before confirming that I would be the first delivery because my building shuts down the elevators for 30 minutes at 12:30. I work on a construction site in a high rise building. I called back 45 minutes later to follow up because they were getting ready to close. Only to find out that my food was delivered to another building and to an apartment number different to mine. The man I spoke with stated that«someone» took my order and payed for it. I asked why I wasn’t called since I said I would have to come down to the front of the building to meet the delivery guy. He said that it was just taken and paid for. That’s it. I spoke with my building guys, the wrong apartment number and the doorman. No one received it. I called back and was told sorry. they could send me another one but it would be later on. I asked to speak to the manager and of course they were not in. So disappointed.

One of my UES favorites that, ironically, based on the dating scene nearby, never disappoints. Super fast and goddamn delicious. The thai curry puffs will change your life. seamless suggested delivery time between 9 and 930 pm, but the foods here at 830… The delivery guy runs up my 5 flights of stairs faster than i do… Jerk. Gotta go call my trainer \_(ツ)_/¯.

Local Thai. Very suited to takeout as this is a micro restaurant. Friendly and fast. Standard menu. The wait staff us a little frustrating — when I asked what was the best seller she mentioned six dishes. I wanted THEBEST seller. When I asked how spicy the food was –she said Thai spicy. NOT helpful. The food is not that spicy. The duck in the red curry though was really nicely cooked. Granted well done but not petrified… quite juicy. Good assortment of vegetables. A standard red curry sauce but it ha d a little extra fenugreek flair which I liked. Their NYC finest tap water flowed abundantly. I will return for the Pad Thai test!

Good thai food. But a little expensive. I ordered pad thai, the flavor is good, the chicken in it is bad. It’s a small place but easy to find. I went there with my friend, he liked it very much. However, we will not come for second time.

Standard Thai lunch menu, great food, clean restaurant, fast service. Couldn’t ask for more in a Thai place like this. I had pad see-ew, Tom-yum veggie soup and a Thai iced tea: $ 12(the food was only $ 8)

I had the Chicken Dumplings appetizer, and they were soggy. Also, I had the Thai Fried Rice entrée, and it was greasy. The portions were small, and the prices in relation to the portion size, are high in my opinion. I think I can find better Thai Food if I look around!

Possibly one of the worst take out experiences of my life. Not only is it one of the most expensive Thai places I have ever ordered from, but all of our meals came with one tiny serving of rice to share among us and there were no more than two pieces of chicken in each of our dishes. Strongly recommend against ordering from here.

They were supposed to open at 11:30 for lunch. Brought my family here at 11:45 and they were closed. Guess if you’re determined to go here, you should call ahead and make sure they’re open!

I walked pass this place before i went to MET with my friends. When they asked for recommended i said i saw thai restaurant nearby let’s get there. The place is tiny, might be only 16 — 18 seats. Im a big fan of green curry fried rice. I was excited when i saw it in their menu. That was ok but a little bit sweet and didn’t come will cucumber(normally fried rice come with cucumbers and lime in every thai restaurant). Prices is a little bit expensive but not bad.

Decent food, good service– we had the green curry fried rice and Thai basil wok dish, both were very good, the«veggie duck» was surprisingly tasty.

Too bad I can’t give zero stars for service. I ordered the special($$) Angry Fish and I chose the filet. They brought it out several minutes after everyone else’s entrees and it came out WHOLE. Eyes. Bones. Tail. Not at all what I ordered. I was freaked out and asked for just pad thai or something and the waitress said no that she’ll replace it. She returned 5 minutes later with the same plate with the same fish all chopped into small pieces– skin and some bones included. I tried to make the best of it and ate as much as was edible. The check came with full charge for the meal. When I asked for a discount, they acted shocked. After some pushing, they gave me 15% off just the entrée. FIFTEEN. Also– automatic tip with 4 people!!! Won’t be returning and I hope someone learns from my experience!

I’ve been here a few times and I have sort of realized that it is good food you will enjoy but not food you will dream about. This is a rundown of my typical meal: The fried rice is full of flavor but ok and the spring rolls were crisp and full of flavor. It’s small and compact, almost no legroom and very tight seating. Another con is when I ate, they only had one desert, Fried bananas, which were mediocre. Over all it was a good meal and inexpensive, which is awesome. Note: Customer service is great they are fast with food and very friendly, If you need a spot on the upper east side to get Thai This place will work just fine They also don’t except Amex which is a bummer

My go-to Thai restaurant. Located conveniently close to the Lexington line 4 train it’s easy to access. There are certain spots that offer as good Thai food as they do but their location is why I keep going back. Drunken noodles with shrimp are my absolute favorite. Customer service is always top notch in this little restaurant, very friendly and professional.

Veggie duck is delicious. So, I was very happy to see it making an appearance on this menu. The other nice thing is that they make provisions for it to be included in all the typical dishes(some restaurants only let you put it in a few). The prices were also very reasonable for the location and for what you are getting. On the plus side: White rice came out in a fun cone shape. Veggie duck was plentiful and delicious. Good spice levels. Prompt and friendly service. On the negative side: Sauces were kind of watery. Noodles kind of stuck together so they didn’t have any sauce on them(perhaps due to the thin consistency of the sauce). The restaurant itself is pretty small so I wouldn’t suggest coming here with more than 3 or 4 people in your group. The food came out quickly and they had lunch specials so you can get in and out pretty quickly if you’re on a lunch break.

Third time was not a charm. First time had been good, second time acceptable and now: ugh. Place went downhill fast. Ordered drunken noodles to go and somehow ended up with jungle curry. I was surprised at the miscommunication, but I suppose these things happen, and was too hot and tired after the walk home to go back to ask then to fix their mistake. But the real shock was how terrible this thing called curry was. A watery sauce that was more like a thin oily soup with no flavors except spiciness in which some old, limp green beans were placed along with sad little bits of chicken.

I’ve been to Thai @ Lex twice now, once eating in and once carrying out, and I really enjoy their food! It’s affordable and the portion sizes are generous. It’s pretty standard Americanized Thai food but I like that so whatever. Both times I had a curry, most recently the«Thai @ Lex Curry,» which is your typical coconut curry veggie dish. I asked for it extra spicy and they obliged. The veggies were all good quality and the portion, especially for carryout, was pretty big. I also really like their Thai iced tea! My friend had a beef dish that she loved as well. It was about $ 23 for two entrees. The only issue I’ve had here was a carryout mixup yesterday. We ordered our food and waited at a table where they gave us water, which was a nice touch. The waitress brought us a paper bag of food inside a large plastic bag that we took back to my friend’s apartment. Once we arrived and took out the paper bag, the receipt made it clear that we had gotten the wrong order! The staff was very helpful though, they remade our order and delivered it to us a few blocks away and asked for the other order back. No discount or anything for the mixup but they did deliver quickly and I personally didn’t think it was a big deal. Maybe check your food before you take it home though, just in case!
