Thelma and Dennis run a phenomenal program for kids. My wife and I were a little hesitant to leave our pride and joy in the hands of others, but they made it super easy for us. The love they have for the children at the school can be felt the minute you walk through the door.
The staff is also top notch. Aneta, Annie, and Mariana are all great. They care for the children as though they are their own. Our son has learned so much and has become so much more self-​confident. It’s been a pleasure watching him grow at Pinafore.
Our son fell in love with Pinafore right away. He’s there from 8AM to 6PM Monday through Friday, and at the end of the day, we have to drag him out of there. He has a lot of fun with the other children and never wants to leave.
We couldn’t be happier with Pinafore, and we would highly recommend the school to others.

Our son transitioned from being cared for at home full time to attending Pinafore full time when he was 21 months old. The amazing and loving teachers at Pinafore as well as Dennis and Thelma did a fantastic job helping him assimilate. He now loves going to school in the morning, seeing all his friends and also adores his teachers. In fact he’s often sad on the weekends when we tell him that there’s no school that day! As parents it’s really rewarding to watch him learn SO MUCH. Asides from that my favorite thing about Pinafore is how he gets to go outside every day when the weather is nice, e.g. to the park or the zoo. I feel like it really adds to the stimulating environment he gets at the school. We are very lucky to be able to send him to Pinafore Nursery School.

My husband and I have been parents of the Pinafore Nursery School for over six months now and are so happy we found such a loving school for our daughter (now 2). Dennis and Thelma are very warm and welcoming and address concerns swiftly with the utmost care. Within a couple of months our daughter learned her colors and shapes and was counting to 10! We were really impressed. My biggest concern was that she wouldn’t get the love and attention at a full-​time school that I give her at home. To my relief, she is very loved by her teachers (they adore her!) as they tend her to emotional needs as I would. Overall, we feel very lucky to have found the Pinafore Nursery.

My two children have been going here since April 2012 and I couldn’t be happier. The school is a wonderful space with a great atmosphere. The teachers are very involved and enthusiastic and get results — both of my children (3 year old and a 5 year old who left to go to school in September) improved their drawing and handwriting so much since they started in this encouraging environment. The School takes the kids on great excursions including The National History Museum, the carousel at Central Park, Victoria Gardens during the summer and my son’s personal favourite the Sony Wonder Technology Lab. On top of everything else the school managed to open on Wednesday this week and welcomed everyone for a wonderful Halloween celebration which we were much in need of after Hurricane Sandy!
