This place was so cool! After having dinner downstairs at print, our group of 11 went up to have another couple drinks and enjoy the view at the rooftop bar. We only managed to stay on the outside area for about 5 mins because it was very cold and windy, but holy crap that view!!! I already made plans to go back there when the weather is 30 degrees warmer! The inside of the bar area was cool, again very NYC chic atmosphere. There was sofas and comfy seats to sit on and the waitresses up there were very attentive too. Great experience and can’t wait to go back in the summer!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, overpriced, gorgeous! The views of Manhattan are breathtaking. You can sit on the couches inside or outside. We went during January so the outside part had a clear tent thing going on. There were faux fur throws on the chairs to keep you warm. There is waitstaff that come to your table to serve you drinks. Cosmo was yummy. Be prepared, it is pricey.

After reading some of the positive reviews on this place I added it to my list of spots to check out in NYC. Finally got around to getting dinner and drinks here last night and all I can say is wow. The views are absolutely stunning and everything from the food to the service was top notch. My dad and I got there a little after 7:00pm so it wasn’t crowded at all on the rooftop. You can sit wherever you want and they have plenty of heaters and blankets in the outdoor areas which are also enclosed. In the summer I can imagine this place getting insanely packed even though there would be more space if they opened up the patios. We paid about $ 90 for some olives, mixed nuts, hummus, two beers, a glass of whiskey, and a mixed drink. Not too bad in my opinion for all that. Food wise everything was flavorful and fresh. If you want dinner you have to make a reservation at Print which is in the lobby, but you can bring your drinks from the bar down. For the appetizer we got the octopus and for the main course I went with the duck and my dad had fish. Portion sizes are small, but the food came out quickly and was excellent. For dessert we split the vanilla sponge cake which was also small, but delicious. Total for the dinner came out to about $ 90 as well. Service was excellent and very fast at the restaurant. The chef even came out and made sure we were enjoying everything! Overall had a great experience here and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a bar with a good view. The only knock is that it’s a little out of the way, but that just means it’s a quieter atmosphere which is good for a casual night out or a date.

Decided to give it 4 stars. Only because their menu is very limited and I believe it was a bit over priced. But no doubt, the view is amazing. If you’re looking for a lounge with a nice rooftop view of the city, this is the spot to check out. There’s not much to say about this place besides that the view is amazing. So I say… Just bookmark this spot and check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

What can I say about this place except for, wow. A native New Yorker, it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to beautiful views… But this place is one of a kind. I’ll attach a photo because no words will suffice. The drinks are good(pricey, but it’s NYC). They have an actual bar and then they have couches with plush blankets and pillows. The couch area is heated and enclosed by plastic(I think it’s plastic) so you can observe the beautiful view without freezing in the colder months. You also have seating options outside on the actual rooftop. If you’re visiting NYC and want to see a beautiful skyline… This is a good place to go! I’ve been there twice and was in awe both times.

Giving this bar any less than 5 stars would be a sin. The view is unlike any other in NYC. Being in Hell’s Kitchen area, you are slightly removed. The view from this particular rooftop shows an almost panoramic view of the whole city without being in the middle of it. The drinks were excellent(but pricey, $ 13-$ 20 a drink). We went on a Monday night and it was the first time we could get away from the crowds. The bar was almost empty and absolutely beautiful. The music played was low-key and relaxing. We dined at their downstairs restaurant(the Print), which got us into the bar without waiting or paying anything. Highly recommend this bar!

There will be a line about a half block long on the weekend, but mind you it’s on an avenue. Either way not to fear it moves pretty quickly, just in case you’re feeling urself and think you’ll be bumped up for your good looks, yeaaaa, bouncers aren’t having it. Once you make your way in, you hop in the elevator to the top floor, door opens to a gorgeous sexy indoor space, but wait… Grab ur overly pricey beverage at the relatively large bar, might take you about 10 mins, then slowly… slowly make ur way to what may very well be the most breath taking views of the city. Just gorgeous!!! Ooook, now for the clincher; if ur anyone like me with a short attention span and in constant need of stimulation, you might need a little something more. Unfortunately I didn’t really get it. The music was barely audible, and whatever was being played, no one cared to hear. If you’re looking for a place to bounce a little but not a dance club scene, this isn’t going to be that place either! It’s great for about an hour with friends to chat and catch up, great to show ppl from out of town, it’s a totally day time appropriate vibe. I’m none too Keen on overpriced drinks and sucky music. The view is pretty much everything for Press. It’s more like 3.5 stars for me.

Drinks are expensive, views are amazing! Love that it’s open year round, and that Print downstairs is so delicious. I would recommend visiting the press lounge with friends if you find yourself in the area. Service is okay, but honestly the views make up for anything lacking.

I’ve been to the many NYC rooftops but this was amazing. Stellar views in all locations. Great comfortable lounge seating. Wonderful music. Perfect for groups, dates, just hanging. Very nice bouncers and bartenders. Great cocktail list– very expensive. Don’t forget to take many pictures and can’t wait to return– and it’ll be during the summer.

Came here for a friend’s birthday. It has really good views, but the drinks are hella expensive. If you’re thinking this is a club, it’s not. No one’s really dancing, and they aren’t really playing music you would wanna dance to anyway. It’s more of a rooftop patio with a good number of couches that were mostly taken. Just lounge around, talk, and sip your nearly $ 20 drink. Great spot for an after dinner drink to continue a conversation. If you have a room at the hotel, you can skip the line at the elevator.

I’m surprised Unilocal says that«20-somethings give this place props.» Most people there other than my group of friends were 40 years old and up. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but that Unilocal comment is a bit misleading. The Press Lounge has beautiful views of the city and I’m sure that the terrace is a really fun spot when it’s warmer out. Aside from that, the drink prices made me want to cry($ 24 for a cocktail?! really!?) and it took forever to get in. Partly because the doormen would only let 2 – 3 people into the elevator at once, when probably 12 people would have fit inside. Had a pretty nice time but not dying to go back. Good if you’re visiting Manhattan and would like a bar with a view.

This was our first stop(3 girls) on a Saturday night — we arrived pretty early(around 11:30) and there was already quite a line to get in. After what felt like a pretty long wait, we finally got in. I would note though that the staff(including bouncers) all were polite and nice to deal with. The rooftop is spacious and has nice décor. There were a good amount of seating, which was available on a first come, first serve basis. In terms of the view of the city skyline — you could get a great view of the city and the night lights, but not much of some of my personal favourites(Empire State, Chrysler, etc.). My friends and I spent some time snapping a few pictures, but didn’t stay long. I would recommend checking out the Press Lounge if you’re in the area and want to grab a drink on a rooftop for a more laid-back night. It’s also a nice spot for a date.

Gorgeous view and a nice place to actually TALK. I’ve been to Le Bain and thought that was pretty awesome but Press is more laid back in terms of the atmosphere. The view at Le Bain had a great landscape view, but I loved how close up the buildings were at Press. Granted that the drinks are definitely pricey, it’s a wonderful place to just take the city in. I live in Socal, so I compared it to viewing like four downtown LAs at once haha

The view here is just sooooooo dam amazing!!! Probably the best rooftop bar I’ve ever been to. I’m obsessed with skyline views and this view was just so dam perfect. The view isn’t too far removed or close from the city. I came in here on a Thursday with a group of 4. No lines and we went straight up to the top. Once we entered i was in awe of the view. Drinks were standard high class prices of $ 14 and up for craft cocktails. I got a standard old fashioned and it was great. Inside there is a glass wall but once you walk outside… seriously… yeah im gonna say it again… the freakin view! The bar had enough people to be bumping but there was plenty of outside seating. We were able to get a corner table with seating. Sat there and chilled for a good two hours until about 1am when the bouncer came by and said everyone needed to go inside. Overall, i just cant get passed the skyline view. Drinks were standard. Thursday would be a good night because i bet it’s super crowded on weekends.

Being located on the west side of 11th Avenue at 48th St, you get fantastic views of the Manhattan skyline as well as the Hudson River. The bar is nice and there is a lot of casual outdoor seating. Bartender knew how to make an excellent caipirinha. Servers outside were also very attentive. I highly recommend this place and I’ll definitely be back!

The drinks are a tad pricey(cocktails $ 17, wines ~$ 12), but for the unobstructed skyline AND sunset views, this is much better than the $ 30+ admission & long wait to Empire State or Top of the Rock. The Palatino is a great cocktail(can’t even taste the vodka — so dangerous, ha), and they can make the mojito virgin if you ask. We came Friday around 6:30pm, and there was no line heading up. The line started forming around 8 — 8:30 according to our friends who trickled in later. You may not get seats, but it’s not terribly crowded. At least not yet — until more people discover this great spot tucked away from the subway lines.

LOVETHISLOUNGE! Probably my all-time favorite place to chill and grab a drink in the city. I’ve realized that I like places where I can sit down and chat over drinks rather than squeeze through a sweaty crowd at a club. This place was absolutely perfect. It is on the rooftop of a hotel in Hell’s Kitchen and overlooks midtown. I honestly prefer this view more than the lounges downtown because it’s less busy and the view’s nicer. I came here on a Wednesday night with my bf and the bouncer told us that we would be the last people to be let in before forming a line. This place gets lines on Wednesdays? Wow. We got in and instantly I remember thinking to myself how big the place was. There was an indoor bar with lots of seating room, a place outside that was covered in a canopy with couches, and an outdoor space where you could walk around a pool of water to see the view of Times Square and Uptown. Drinks weren’t too bad in terms of price and the place wasn’t overly crowded :) perfect!

Last night in NYC and 2nd time coming here on a Sunday night… good crowd, no wait no cover but $ 17 cocktails and $ 11 beer… yeaaaaa but hey it’s got the millionaire view of midtown and you can’t beat that, they told us dress code was business casual with no flip flops or hats but I saw ppl wearing shorts and flip flops still –_____–

Man do I miss this place! I went here during vacation and I just fell in love with New York even more. Me and my friends came on a Friday night, there wasn’t much of a wait, we got in pretty quick. NOCOVER! You go in an elevator that takes you to the roof top. Once the elevator opens you see the bar on your left. Then you look to your right you see an AMAZING view of NYC. There are plenty of seats inside and outside. My friends and I decided to sit outside and of course take pictures of that view! Drinks were a bit on the high end but didn’t matter to me because I already had a pre buzz going in lol! They had a wide selection of drinks of course. This place is pretty spacious outside as well, on one side you have the view of the city, and if you walk to the other side you have the view of the hudson. It wasn’t too packed when we got here so thats a definite plus! You will love it here, it was fun to lounge and have drinks with friends… ahhh till next time NYC!

Last Saturday one of my closest friends chose this rooftop bar/lounge to celebrate her birthday at. This seemed like a logical pick as it’s within walking distance of her apartment, boasts a fantastic view and it is a nice spend to spend a clear Spring night at. Overall I enjoyed the space very much and the service was pretty great. Beers are $ 11 each and at one point Ingrid S. and I were frustrated that they cleared our table while we were taking group photos and they went off with 30% of her beer. I said something though and they rectified it so kudos to Press Lounge for providing excellent customer service on this front. What was disappointing was our exit. I found a door right to the elevator banks and disregarded the crowd that wasn’t by the more convenient elevator door. My boyfriend(being the sweet ethical man that he is) kindly pointed out to me that there was a line… so we got to the back and slowly shuffled our way up when 3 douchebags began to sneak up on us from the side trying to skip me. I’m Puerto Rican, don’t even play, I will elbow you if needed. In making sure they didn’t cut me off he made them aware that there was a line and they used foul language that made me want to super saiyan attack them(go look it up, this offensive attack is super nerd cray) but the boy is a gentleman and wields a patience that surely must have been bestowed upon him by the gods. But these asshats ruined my feelings on this place. Overall, Press Lounge can be a fun night and is good for group gatherings, but some of their clientele is rachet. Come for the view, leave when it starts to get late and people get stupid while they drink… also $ 11 for domestic, big name beers isn’t cool anywhere, even if you are attached to a fancypants hotel.
