I did not realize«Power Breakfast» was reserved for white men in their 60s. It was a shame that 5 senior female executives in their 30s were treated so poorly as if their 8:30am breakfast was a hen do rather than a business meeting. We were literally asked«are you ladies gossiping»? No, we had actually been waiting 30 minutes to order our plates. The older gentleman serving us wasn’t much of a gentleman, basically throwing our plates down on the table as if we were at a diner. I have no problem paying for great service, great food in a great location. Sometimes I would actually just be fine with great service and a good environment. This experience was none of those things and in fact I felt patronized and embarrassed to have hosted my guests there. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

We walked in with a7:00PM X-Mas day reservation. After being seated, we were asked for our water selection which was for plain NYC water. Thereafter, we expected to be asked for our adult beverage selection; no one asked us. Finally, after 10 minutes I flagged down what looked to be our waiter; he wasn’t, but took our drink order anyway. One drink was served correctly, the other had to be sent back as it was a Belvidere martini with Vermouth when none was the order of the day. Finally on the third attempt the booze was delivered correctly and was the first comp of the meal, more would be forthcoming. We finally ordered our meal at 7:30PM and was served the first course at 7:50PM, a Ceaser Salad and a fluke crudo. The Main Course did not arrive until 8:50PM and shortly thereafter a management person arrived to tell us he was comping desert. The food was more than edible which included a strip steak for $ 58.00 and a Black Cod for $ 42.00.

Had to write this review because I was so disappointed this this place. First of all I don’t know how I ended up here for brunch as I was not staying at the hotel and its pretty random. Secondly, its inside a hotel and does have that NYC tourist feel to it. With that being said the staff was great and bloody Mary was strong. The food — totally overpriced and just ehh. I don’t like to write negative reviews but the food was so not what it should be. for $ 30 plate at brunch, if you are staying at this hotel go to Lavo a few blocks over which also has overpriced food but at least the creativity, taste and quality are there for that price. Blah.

Gorgeous soothing room and good service outweighs fairly blah food. This is more of a private club than a restaurant and it shows. That doesn’t mean it is not pleasant to dine here, but if you are looking for an great food experience, this is not the place.

Fan place. Great quality food. A little pricey but you are in a prime Manhattan location. Very friendly staff. All very nice. At breakfast we saw Alex Rodriguez dine. We also saw Carson from bravo TV. Highly recommended.

Went for my birthday dinner. The Fired Octopus and everything aside from my main entrée(strip steak) was amazing. The Service is amazing and why I had to give the 3 Stars. Beware of the steak, the first cut I got was very tough and had to send it back, they fired up another cut and got it out quite quickly this was better but such a fall off from the quality of EVERYTHING else. Very weird to me, as this is their première entrée priced at $ 58.00, you would think it would equal the quality of the rest of the menu. If not for this, they would receive 5 Stars… Regency! Fix this ASAP!

Breakfast is good, they know how to poach an egg to the specified doneness and offer delightful, high quality bacon. It’s slightly pricey, but there is quality on the plate. What is not good however is the $ 8 cup of coffee. Not just an $ 8 cup of coffee, but a mediocre cup of $ 8 coffee. There is nothing remarkable about this coffee to warrant the exorbitant price tag, so buyer beware! Maybe sneak in a flask of hot coffee while your enjoy your tasty bacon?

Great drinks! Great people and Great fries! Super clean. Fantastic service. We went for a snack and a drink while staying at the hotel. Our drinks were perfect and the food was delicious. A bit pricey but expected in the area. I recommend a vodka gimlet:) ENJOY!

I like this place. The service is always fantastic. The food is very good but a little more expensive. I feel that for the price tag, I would expect the food more special. But it is a hotel restaurant, what do you expect? Actually, it is the best hotel restaurant that I have ever been. I really love the bar and come here all the time. The bartenders are really the best. They are so sweet, so kind and so good looking too and they always make sure that I am taken such a good care. The crowd is classy, 40+ group, but I never feel it stuffy. I took my friends to this place, they all enjoyed it and had great time. As a result, they always suggest this place whenever we don’t know where should we go for a drink.

After a long day of sightseeing with a guest of the hotel, we decided to unwind with a couple of cocktails at the bar — a stiff and deliciously spicy Sgt. Pepper and aromatic Dancing in the Dark, both excellent. We then made our way over to the main dining room, which, on a Sunday night, was mostly empty. I was worried the food wouldn’t be up to par given the lack of customers, but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Started with a dozen oysters, very fresh. Butternut squash soup was rich and savory, good seasonal selection. For my main, the veal tenderloin was a generous portion, tender and flavorful, accompanied by some unique mushroom varieties I had never seen before(and I usually know my way around the fungi). Our waiter was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. Impressive wine list. Sommelier helped us select a delightful 2006 Barolo. Finished the meal with the warm apple crisp and a glass of Balvenie, so good. While I don’t often find myself in the neighborhood, I’d gladly dine here again.

Very disappointed today with our experience. Did not realize that the regular lunch menu would not be available, so we had to make do with a very limited brunch offering. The food was pricy in the extreme, but ordinary to barely adequate are the best adjectives for what was served. There were a lot of servers standing by but somehow the service itself was poor — bad form in reaching across diners, very slow to take orders and bring the food, no one checking that all was well at any point. Although the location is great, I know we’ll never go back. It really had nothing whatsoever to recommend it.

Love the new re-do on the Regency Hotel, especially the bar! Where as before it was dark and small, it is now a large open inviting space. I came here with some friends for after work drinks, it was lively yet not packed at 7. We enjoyed the sliders and fries, and had some drinks. I opted for the Start Me Up margarita concoction they had. It was so good! A hint of spice but the sweetness of the strawberry made it perfection. My friend opted for beer, usual suspects on that front. Solid spot for this neighborhood that lacks casual nice bars to hang at. Come here! Bring friends! Cheers!

The Library was so much better. I used to go with colleagues all the time. They had great service, and great food. The atmosphere was cosy, and made you feel at home. The renovation brought mostly terrible changes. The old turkey club, which everyone I knew enjoyed, was altered to become a lackluster sandwich. The pancakes, which weren’t that great anyways, got worse. The servers who were there before the change still are great, but the new people are for the most part terrible. Slow, terrible service from the new people. One of the new guys even tried to flirt with the guy I was interviewing. I wanted to love it, but I can’t unless substantial changes are made. Now I need to find a new place.
