This place is an absolute dump. Like really dark and dirty. Cheap beer and a crap pool table in the back. I love it.

Thank you for existing in a land that has forgotten that«the regulars» are what sustains your business. I want to be a regular at Toad Hall. I want a shot of rye and still have money left over to buy another and leave a tip. I want friendly bartenders. Look no further.

Nice pub style bar. No frills, just laid back. Beer on tap. Good bar snacks. Great location. Easily accessible. Within walking distance of many nice soho restaurants so great for last minute drink or night cap to wrap things up.

From the moment I walked into The Hall I was welcomed and have being coming non stop for a couple of years now. The staff is amazing especially Joe aka Joe Joe aka Thor aka the inventor of the Joerita. SO if you want a place to hangout with your friends, or make new ones this is the place for you.

Toad Hall was, in the words of Bart, «better than expected». But that’s not quite a fair assessment. When wandering through Soho, annoyed by all the… Soho-ness, I checked Unilocal to see what was around. Toad Hall came up. We decided to check out the menu on their website. Wait. There’s no website? Intriguing! Must. Go. Toad Hall is everything I could wish for in a dive bar. Old. Dirty in a clean way. Weird décor(Wind in the Willows themed, obvi). Cheap beers. Friendly staff. Interesting people bellied up to the bar. Big shout out to Joe, the bartender, who looks like Thor, should Thor have retired from superheroing to work at a dive bar in Soho. Super welcoming, funny, friendly, and plays great music to boot. Great hair, too. The next time we’re in Soho we will definitely make a point of stopping by, and you should too!

This was a cool place in Soho, not exceptional but not horrible. We stopped in for a drink to let the rain pass and there wasn’t very many people in there. The bartender didn’t seem to really want to be bothered so we didn’t try to strike up a conversation. I ordered a Moscow Mule and it was definitely unappetizing to say the least. I didn’t have the energy to even complain so we drank what we could and paid our bill. The place looked really cool but maybe we went on a bad day.

Always a heavy pour at the Toad. If you’re looking for an old timey pub to have a drink at and relax, this is the place. Friendly bar staff, and they always know how to make your drink perfect. They don’t serve food there, but you can order into the bar from any of the neighboring eateries that offer delivery. They even have a collection of menus behind the bar to help you out if you’re hungry. The cool little frog /toad figurines decorate the place… I’m sure each one has a story behind it. All in all, it’s the pub I enjoy the most out of all the places I’ve been to drink at. Thank you for reading my review.

Eh, The place isn’t anything special. It’s another little spot in SoHo but it doesn’t feel like it. More of a dive bar type of feel. Went in at 5:45 and there is no happy hour or anything. Beers are on par for the area but the selection wasn’t great. Not a place I’ll go to again

We walked into Toad Hall with 3 tween kids and Joe and smokey made us feel right at home. They gave the kids cake, a special Shirley Temple concoction and a delicious whiskey drink. The people, ‘tenders and neighborhood are so welcoming and fun.

Great bar in Soho that offers great beers, cheap drinks and the opportunity to bring in your own food. Pool table in the back also serves as a large hang out area for large groups. Will definitely come back!

Deep, dark, divey, and meets all your local pub needs. Pool table in the back room. Great music — kicks off the evening with some old rock, and as it gets toward make-out hour they round out the evening with Marvin Gaye’s crooning. The bartender had a solid read on the crowd, and he knew I was not a beer girl. Made me some blueberry vodka lemonade that did the trick. He was chill, unpretentious, and honestly is the reason why I added a star. I asked him about the name, hoping and hoping that it has something to do with Wind in the Willows. And sure enough, it does. And I love that.

Perfect little bar to grab a drink and chill. I liked the rustic atmosphere and the service was good. They had a nice selection of drafts for such a small bar.

Toad Hall is the perfect local pub for anyone who appreciates a laid-back atmosphere and a Cheers-esque sense of familiarity amongst the staff and guests. The space is divey, but only insofar as the décor. All is quite clean. The bartenders friendly and efficient. What else needs be said?

Best unpretentious old school bar left in SoBlow! I used to work around the corner from here for two years. Joe, Barry and Smokey are awesome. Once you become a regular, you’re family. Especailly in a hurricane. The place is old. It’s a lil dirty. Hey, they are the oldest bar still standing in SoBlow. They were here when it was still SoHo. Before the DB’s started moving in and taking over the area. They know how to make a drink. Old school. Enjoy this place while it lasts. SoHo is going the way of the malls in the suburb. Like everthing else in the city that still has a soul, their time is running out. In the not too distant future, this place will be some gastropub run by a major restaurant group that has a DB of a chef with his own show on Vice or worse, the Foodnetwork. Mark my words. **Bathroom: Two. Dirty but not completely disgusting. Hover for a 2.

This place, is a bar, like a real bar. I know that sounds pretty stupid but it’s really the kind of dark, old school place that you think of. The bartenders are really friendly, it’s small but not crowded and the music isn’t loudly blasting so you can’t hear, no strobes and an honest to God pool table that’s decent. The beer prices to are cheap(super cheap given the area) and one of my group had been here before and was quickly recognized. Why we don’t go there more often I’m not sure.
