We asked for chopped, we got tossed. We asked for dressing on the side, it was mixed in. We asked for an extra salad to go, it arrived to us in a plate. I went back to the cashier to ask for a different dressing because my salad had zero taste and the taste got even worse. I really don’t know what’s wrong with this location

I gotta say 5 stars because if you eat here it’s pretty awesome, takeout is great as well. I’ve seen people leave tips because the service is so good and they’re not sure if they should or not. I’ve only ordered salads, but they come out in these awesome bowls that I want to steal and serve guests at home. The salads are mixed/chopped to perfection. I came here when I was on my green smoothie cleanse because there is a Red Mango inside as well. Also, there is a frozen yogurt station too that’s starting to be utilized more since the weather is getting warmer.

I’m writing a review based on the Red Mango section of the restaurant. I go in there regularly because their berry banana smoothie is amazing and I’m addicted to it. This morning I went in there and there was a female behind the counter. She didn’t see me at first because her back was turned which is fine because she was doing something so I didn’t mind but what I did mind was that when she did turn around, I smiled and said hello and she just looked at me, came from behind the counter, put out whatever it was she was working with in the front and then walked back behind the counter grabbed the box and went to the back. No hello, no good morning, no interaction at all whatsoever. So I waited for her to return so I could order a smoothie and when she comes back, a nice gentleman who worked in the ‘Tossed’ section of the restaurant came from the back as well and said good morning to me(finally). As he opened the register, I proceeded to order a smoothie. The girl was mumbling under her breath the entire time, complaining I’m assuming, as she made my smoothie. The nice gentleman went back to the ‘Tossed’ side of the restaurant as she proceeded to ring me up. She told me the total for my smoothie, I handed her the money and I guess the register wasn’t cooperating too well and she got extremely irritated and walked away. Leaves me standing there, no explanation, STILL no hello, no nothing. As she walks away to find the gentleman who opened the register, the register opened. I guess it was just lagging a little bit since they had just opened. Once she came back she was mumbling under her breath again but this time louder. «Now the register wants to open? I don’t have time for this shit. I could be home with my husband and my son this is ridiculous.» as I’m standing there, just waiting for my change. Listen, I’ve worked in and out of bakeries since I’m in high school and I can totally relate to this girl when it comes to working in customer service especially in the food industry. It’s not pleasant and at times you’re going to get customers that are plain awful. But I’m going to say exactly what everyone else told me while I worked in the food industry. If you don’t want to do this job, then get a new one. The level of rudeness that came from this girl is beyond ridiculous. Completely ignored me the entire time, no interaction whatsoever unless it was her complaining about not wanting to be there, cursing in front of me on top of that. Whoever the gentleman is that works in the ‘Tossed’ portion of the restaurant was extremely nice, even said goodbye to me on my way out. If it wasn’t for him I would’ve had a completely crappy experience. I’m still going to go there for smoothies because any other time I’ve had extremely nice people assist me, but I just found this girls behavior unprofessional and rude. Hope she gets to go home to her husband and son after this one.

For $ 2 off: **On the side street, with no Broadway frontage, and shares a space with Red Mango** Redeemed Levelup credit(but forgot about their Unilocal check-in special) for their brownie, which is oddly macaroon-like and kinda awesomely fudgy. Place was dead, and cashier kept saying ‘huh?’ rather than more traditional things. I have never given a 1 star review before, but this experience necessitated it. I ordered the chicken wrap with sun-dried tomatoes. I swear the tomatoes have been dry for a decade, they were so stale and hard that I had to spit all of them out. On top of that, it was a tiny wrap for $ 8, this ranks among the worst meals I’ve ever had in NYC. Avoid!

I’ve tried this place a couple times and neither has been impressive. I tried the chicken pesto wrap and it was dripping in dressing! Thankfully I had a coupon for 50% off because it’s definitely not worth the $ 9 that it costs. I also tried the Chicken Noodle soup. I’m not entirely sure how you have dry chicken in soup but they found a way. Chicken was dry and unappetizing and there were hardly any noodles or vegetables. Won’t be going back.

So I used to complain about the insane long line at Just Salad, not anymore. I got tried the Asian chicken salad here for the first and last time. Chicken tasted rubber and dry. The mandarin orange had the canned fruit tastes, which probably is from a can. Hardly any edamame mostly romaine, which makes the salad look full but really is just a lot of space in the container. For $ 8.70 I rather go back to just salad, at least they have fresher ingredients.

Very bad experience with food price and service. I went in to try their peppered chicken sandwich and boy was it horrible it was so bland so tasteless and pricey close to $ 10 for something so simple bread a slice of chicken cutlet lettuce and tomato for that price I could go to any other place nearby and even get fries to accompany my meal and their soda machine was pouring out flat soda too and one more thing the manager there is has a nasty attitude I had the inconvenience of witnessing him completely humiliating an employee for her not knowing something about a certain salad dressing very very unprofessional especially in front of a customer such as myself at the time being because I am no longer a customer from this place I could only imagine how he’ll treat a customer if he’s approached about a complaint. And I’m guessing that a lot of customers have done the same as myself not to go back because I walk by there often at midday and the place is a ghost town well deserved

I used to walk 7 blocks to get to the one in Rock Center, but we moved 5 blocks south and it became too far. It had been a few years since I visited Tossed. I was excited to learn that it was opening closer to my office. The food was imaginative; they used unique ingredients. I don’t know if my palette has evolved or they lost something… but I think it was the latter. The menu was similar to how I remember it, but the delivery was not. I should have been tipped off when I saw it was empty at 12:45 lunch rush… in midtown. The $ 10+(after tax) salad was pedestrian. I ordered the Cobb, which was my usual @ Rock Center, and there was nothing interesting about it. The ingredients were fresh and crisp, though clunky… just boring. There are better salad places for me to drop $ 10 and enjoy eating my greens.
