This place is pretty bad. The food is not worth it. The service is nothing to speak of. The food is all pre cooked and warmed up per order. The dinners we ordered came out faster than you could cook a fresh chicken breast on a flat top grill. I know I spent 10+ years in this industry. Your better off eating at one of the faster food places and saving your money.

This is the best place to eat at Newark Airport. Most everything else is alone the lines of a fast food stand. Patricia was very attentive. My flight was delayed for hours and I had a delicious breakfast. Patricia and her manger Orville where very friendly and informative. SInce I was going to be here for hours they gave me suggestions for lunch if I decided to come back. When I told them I had really no where to go for several hours, the let me sit here with some coffe and toast until it was lunch time, when I had a delicious lunch that Priscilla suggested. Thank you so much for your friendliness and good service

Have read posts. Bottom line service is horrible. I ome i sit at bar and bartender is on phone with back to us. Order food and he is preoccupied and screws up my order. No wonder this franchise is done. Water was the best thing this place had.

This was the only quiet place in the airport before going thru TSA that won’t make us smell like fried food. The service was prompt as there were only 2 guests in there when we were seated. The food was reasonable. The pasta was a tad oily but edible. The cheesecake was delicious. I think it’s hard to go wrong with cheesecake! The price was reasonable for airport food.

Service was a tad slow, but they were understaffed. The beer prices are ok and my panini was more like regular toast with grill marks. The price point was decent though and a good option to eat or drink before entering through security.

To be honest, the service was quick, but I think there were only 2 tables other than mine. Food wise: I started with what I am calling a «winter salad». That sounds more gourmet than«mostly old dead brown leaves with ranch dressing». I don’t know how you put cheese and bacon on mashed potatoes but somehow end up with a mush that sucks the taste AWAY from your tongue. But, nursing homes use more salt than this chef did. Now the filet was top notch steak and very tender. It was well cooked, and I have no complaints other than the pepper sauce was SO much pepper I had to scrape it off. Not since Rodney King has pepper spray been used so liberally. Honestly I wouldn’t come back, there may not be better options at this terminal, but I would wait for peanuts on the plane.

Looking for a quiet place to eat and that serves decent food is difficult at an airport. We came across Tony Roma’s at the Newark Airport. We had over 3 hours before our flight departed and the interior looked appealing. We were seated immediately and ordered the Asian Chicken Salad and a Hamburger with fries. The salad was very good. The dressing was excellent and appeared to be freshly made. The hamburger was a hamburger. The waitress was kind enough to allow us to sit for over one hour waiting for the flight refilling our drinks. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. The only problem was when a mother could not control her screaming toddler and decided to let him roam the restaurant while she finished her meal. That lasted 10 minutes. Otherwise an enjoyable and quiet meal instead of waiting in the«arena waiting» area.

The only bar in Terminal A is sadly lacking. Bartender says she’s «busy» but the restaurant is half empty and only four of us are at the bar. At least they don’t have the iPads like Terminal C…

I haved worked at this place when we first did a grand opening i think 3 years ago and believe me. i only lasted for 3 months. Haha. The Supervisior was a dumb rookie, spongebob cooks better then those fry cooks, employees getting their checks late with the wrong pay… it was a mess. That place needs to close down

THEWORST! I fly into Newark quite a bit and the food selection is really bad if you want decent quality food. Tony Roma’s had the appearance that it might be decent, so I gave them a whirl. I ordered the Mojo Mahi Mahi for $ 18.99 and it was literally the worst food I have eaten in a decade. Both the fish and broccoli were overcooked and had the texture that it was microwaved. The rice was bland and probably also microwaved in a bag or something. I am the kind of guy that always cleans his plate but this time I left half the food because I was scared of getting food poisoning. AVOIDATALLCOSTS #ripoff

Had the Mojo Chicken since it was«chef recommended» but it was dry and clearly overcooked. I’ve had frozen dinners at least three times as tasty.

Poor service, server messed up my app and dinner, food was far below par. There is no need for them to try to be exceptional because there are no other restaurants here for them to compete with. «World famous bbq ribs» were dry and the globbed on bbq sauce had already developed a plastic like outer layer from being left under a heat lamp. I hope I don’t get sick from this food…

Came here to order some food. Bartender took my drink order and returned with my beer and a menu. Never came back to take my food order. But did drop off my check while talking to two other coworkers. Worst Tony Roma’s in the world.

I’ve only been for their happy hour, and for that I would continue to go. Not to say their regular menu isnt great, I just haven’t had it yet. I love fun food. And their shrimp taco is FUN. Like a party, in your mouth(pause).

Ate here coming and going from my trip back east. Nice place, friendly staff, good beer selection. Prices were fair for airport fare. Glad I found em!

I am ranking this place low, even for airport standards. I am not a picky eater at all… But the food was marginal, at best. I had the ribs and mashed potatoes. Ribs were tolerable. The potatoes were not warm enough to melt the cheese on top. So, traded them for fired veggies. Also just ok. Service was ok. I would only return to this place for the beer…

The service was fine. The food(shrimp appetizer and mojo grilled chicken entrée) was ok. Not all that tasty, but still edible.

I’m giving this place 3 stars … Not that it really deserves all of them but I feel that I need to counter all of the negative reviews… Why? Because it’s airport food … It is no worse than any other airport restaurant I’ve been to. I got burger with a side Caesar and my friend got the chicken vegetable salad. Neither of them were that great but it was tolerable and adequately priced considering the circumstances. The atmosphere was pleasant and didn’t feel like an airport. The server was a little absent minded and not that attentive. Especially considering how empty the place was … But we weren’t in a rush so it’s ok. Would I go here again… Sure, if I’m stuck at EWR — terminal A… Would I go here by choice… no, but I also don’t typically enjoy dinning at chains.

Avoid at all costs. The food was bland and overcooked. I had mojo chicken breast that was burnt and tough. The«salsa» mixture on it tasted of ginger but was otherwise lifeless. The broccoli was limp, overcooked and bland. How hard is it to steam a vegetable? The service was slow, a big problem for any place situated in an airport. The reason was that my waiter had 20, that’s right, 20 tables to cover. He was running all over and looked beat down. The only positive was the gin and tonic, which was strong and served in a water glass. For the high price, you should get much more thn what Tony Roma’s delivered. Hit the food court nearby and save your money.
