Tropical Smoothie

So disappointed that this location no longer serves the chicken cordon bleu wrap. Other stores will still make it even though it isn’t in the menu, but this location will not. Looks like this location will not be visited in the future!

Got the acai berry boost. Was much better than I expected. Not overly sweet and could definitely taste the berries.

This is a chain of smoothie/​sandwich shops. I’ve been to this one and the the one over by CNU, and the experience was pretty much identical. Their smoothies are quite good, so if that’s what you’re after, come here. For lunch, if you’re a chick or a small dude on a diet, you’ll love it. If you’re me, you’ll be left thinking you could have eaten two of what they served you. Portion sizes are small, and the options are healthy ones. It is obvious that their ingredients are very fresh, but I thought their prices were a little steep for the amount of food you get. The place is pretty much run by college students, so the service is what you would expect. Great place to go if you’re trying to lose weight.

This is so solidly the worst Tropical Smoothie I’ve ever been to. Incorrect orders. Missing ingredients. Complete lack of customer service. And 100% non-​apologetic manager.
Never again.

Smoothies are amazing. Wraps and sandwiches are good too. If you don’t want the large 24 oz size smoothie, they have a smaller size. Just ask. But why wouldn’t you want the large one?! They have supplements you can add to the smoothies for an extra charge.
Customer service is always good. And I love the island ambience when I go in. A drive thru would be so convenient :-)
I recommend the Kiwi Quencher smoothie. Perfect blend of kiwi and strawberries for that sweet and tart experience! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water!

Ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, the usual. Too much lettuce and not enough meat. Where’s the consistency?

I was so hungry early Sunday afternoon, but I had to work the booth at our convention. My bandmate was out to lunch with his friends and he brought me back a wasabi caeser roast beef sandwich on a ciabatta bun. Wow, this was absolutely amazing! I was almost sad that I’d likely never have this sandwich again because I had no idea when the next time I was going to be in Virginia, but I didn’t realize that this sandwich was from a national smoothie chain. I really expected it to be from some local one-​off artisan deli. I see on the website that there are two in the Pacific Northwest, which means I’m going to have to stop by the next time I’m in Portland. I hope that the smoothies are as good as this sandwich was!

I enjoy smoothies and they do make some good smoothies here. Sadly I have to give Tropical Smoothie a two star rating. They’re not terrible, so don’t get me wrong. The main reason for my low rating is mainly due to price and inconsistency. When they make a smoothie right, it’s on point. Sadly they don’t get things right from time to time. I love the Jetty Punch, but you have a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance of it being made with the proper balance of flavor. Every other time I order one, there seems to be a lack of banana. When this happens, it’s more or less a strawberry smoothie. For what it costs, one has the right to expect it to be a little more consistent.
Speaking of cost, the price point here doesn’t justify what you get. Sure, the wraps and sandwiches I’ve tried were very tasty and well made. Sadly they seemed a bit skimpy considering what they cost.
When my smoothie is made right, I always enjoy my meal. Hell, even when my smoothie is made wrong, it’s still tasty. The thing is, despite the flavor satisfaction, I always leave Tropical Smoothie feeling like I paid a little more than I should have for what I got.

I try to visit a TSC everywhere I go. Just because I love it that much. A great smoothie packed with some whey protein is so good. It gives me a high like cocaine gives an addict. That is how much I love them.
As I have wrote in other reviews about TSC I always get the Sunset Sunrise with whey protein and then made with splenda. I have tried a couple others, but why change a good thing?
Stop in and enjoy a smoothie today! I have heard the food is delicious and fresh.
The one thing about the visits to this TSC is that when I am handed my smoothie they call my first name and personally thank me. Can’t get better customer service than that! I plan to continue to go to TSC, because it makes me happy :-)

i wanted some fruit concoction to battle my cold. this place has really good smoothies.
then i saw the wraps advertisement on the window and got hungry, so i had to try one. really delicious egg burrito like wraps during breakfast hours.
