Nice chill atmosphere to have lunch, grab coffee, or have some peace to get work done with the free wi-fi

I would say it’s the typical Panera but… Dude, don’t eat here. There was a dead fly in the pastry case on a muffin! Figured I’d eat something from the back like soup and a sandwich. Take my food and go eat in the back only to fight off the flys. I don’t know their grade but it should probably be changed cuz that’s gross. Nothin’ like a little extra, unwanted, protein. Restaurants should never prop their door open, it’s an invite for unwelcome guests.

came here and got a messed up salad. sent an email to manager and he said I got someone else’s salad by mistake… Which is not true, the receipt on the plate had my correct order the salad was made wrong. Wont be coming back and wont be ordering from this Panera for my work occasions.

If you are looking for a Chicken Cobb salad with absolutely no avacado, don’t go to Panera in Newton Centre. That’s what I ordered and that’s what my receipt said, but when I got the salad home, there was absolutely NO chicken and plenty of avacado. I always say NO avacado and 9 times out of 10 get — avacado. Simple? Guess not!

Not too shabby. My only complaint is that they ran out of cinnamon rolls– completely and utterly unacceptable. That is all.

This Panera is the BEST! Because of their excellence, I look for them wherever I travel(and I travel considerably). I have been disappointed at other locations, but never here — which tells me that it’s all about management: Fred, Matt and Bruce. The staff is helpful, friendly and energetic; clearly happy to be a part of the team. When I first came in here on my way to work, I was greeted and treated by Julie like family. I have come here almost every work morning since: Julie and Joe honestly make my day — what a great way to start a work day! The cooks do special orders to perfection. Only twice in 7 months had there been a minor error, and they more than made up for it in courtesy and in prompt and cheerful correction. Way to go, Panera Newton Center!

Worst service of any Panera Bread that I have been too. They didn’t have enough staff as there was a line to the doorand the manager’s response was«do you want someone at the register or someone making the food.» I don’t know how a person who is limited in customer service is a manager of anything. I will never return– good luck to the owner.

I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised to find this Panera here. We first checked out the Pete’s coffee and then Starbucks, but both had very limited seating. We wanted to get some work done for a few hours so our last option over here was this Panera and as it turns out there is extensive seating available here! There are 2 large rooms with tables. One of which is cased in with a large glass wall that looks very nice, but also keeps the other room nice and toasty with the fireplace in it. Don’t know what all the mediocre reviews are about, because we didn’t have any issues here. Service was quick and easy, and the food tasted like standard Panera. The seating was comfortable and the place was too loud. Perhaps we just came on a quiet day, but I’m planning on coming back again if I need a place to work for a few hours.

Worst panera ever. Crazy slow and my order is always wrong, literally always– but I work right there so sometimes I give in. Awful.

They have a 30 minute limit on their wifi which makes me irate. I travel a lot for work, and I tried to stop at this location to get some work done during the day. I’m one of those people who actually buy something before I sit down, and if I’m there for a few hours, I will go back up and buy another coffee or pastry. After they kicked me off the wifi, I packed up and went somewhere else to spend my money.

Why do I keep torturing myself by returning? I was running late, so I stopped by for what I once considered a reliable lunch. Ended up paying nearly $ 10 for the«U pick 2», a tiny half a sandwich and a cup of soup. Both were fine, but not $ 10 lunch good. The whole menu’s changed and gotten more expensive, and I can’t tell what it is that we’re paying more for. The internet was in and out, and the only place to sit was a communal table where I and my fellow diners sat side-by-side like sardines. Panera, it’s been nice, but I just can’t anymore.

I don’t know what’s going on with Panera Bread but I’m disappointed on the choices of bread. We ordered a you pick two meal: 1. Blueberry salad with chicken: great. It’s like fruits(strawberry, blueberry, orange) with chicken and walnuts. Very light but very fulfilling salad. The bread that came with it was very soft. I remember they served it with a baguette. 2. BBQ Chicken flat bread was very bad. I understand that it’s expected to have BBQ sauce in it but it was toooooo much. The only thing that I taste was the sauce and that’s it. 3. Cheddar broccoli soup is always perfect, it’s like my favorite dish from the whole menu. 4. Tuna sandwich was not bad. However again the bread was kind of soggy. I always loved panera for great bread that it serves but lately I’ve been noticing changes that I don’t like. Still coming back for cheddar broccoli soup but I don’t think I’ll try anything else for a while

I came here with my friends in hopes of devouring a delicious hot meal and to be perfectly honest, Panera came up short. SHORTASAS [Explicit]. THEGRILLEDCHEESEMEDIOCRE, THEMACANDCHEESEWATERYANDOVERSALTED, ANDTHESALADS A FREAKINGDISAPPOINTMENT! PANERANEWTONCENTERISNOTYOURPLACE, the only thing you manage to do decently was make a good bread and smoothie along with cold water. All in all it was a bad experience. This is the reason why I was going to give this restaurant or should I say crappy food pLace a 1 star but the smoothies are way too good.

Panera stores are very consistent and clean. This one is similar to all the other ones, but it has a great location right in the middle of Newton center, by the park. I love that you can see calories of all items and do the YP2(you pick 2). The strawberry poppyseed chicken salad was crisp and good. Sweet blueberries, pinneaples chunks and strawberries… chicken was tender. The Country Turkey sandwich was good, but a little soggy at the bottom.

How do I get the sandwich in the picture? What you served me doesn’t even resemble that sandwich on the sign. I want the sandwich in the picture! There should be fire code restrictions on this place. They shove so many people into this Panera, it’s a hazard. Really makes for a great place to eat lunch — it’s a human zoo!

i always feel a little silly reviewing a chain, because typically you know exactly what to expect, and get what you get. however, there are always slight differences among chains, and this panera is a particularly good one. i’ve been for both breakfast and lunch, and find the staff to be very friendly and upbeat. they are patient with making modifications to orders and never seem to be in a rush. the food, especially the bread, is always very fresh. i love how the free rolls are always warm and the apples are never bruised. i also enjoy the coffee, no matter what time i go in.

This is a very nice Panera location in the heart of Newton Centre. I only started going here for breakfast when I got sick of only having oatmeal and baked goods to choose from at the Starbucks down the block.(Why it does’t have the breakfast wraps or sandwhiches is beyond me!) There is only street parking available close to it, or you can use a nearby public lot(which I believe you have to pay to use). There is wi-fi and abundant seating, which is very conducive for large groups for a family meal or a book club meeting. The staff is very very friendly, especially at such an early hour(as I only go there on weekday mornings on my way to work). The woman who works the kitchen is so incredibly happy and bubbly without being pushy or over-the-top with her niceness. The downside to this Panera other than the parking is that some of the staff at the counter pack the baked goods differently than others. One man puts the souffles in a box and makes sure to hand it to me so that it’s not upside-down or sideways. Another employee, however, always puts it directly in the bag(no box) and hands the bag to me in such a way that my once-fluffy breakfast soufflé is now squished sideways. Other than that, this is a great spot if you want something other than coffee cake or oatmeal for breakfast on your way to work(though they do have that as well!).

Oh Panera, I could live off your bread and baked goods. And your Strawberry Lemonade on a hot day is fresh-squeezed happiness! Yet sadly, this location couldn’t match the food. The folks working here were unfriendly(it’s been a long day, but don’t take it out on me!). Seats are normally available on a slower day, but at lunch we had to scramble for a tiny table next to the kitchen.
