Food was very good,(for this asian fusion type of food) service was great and price was acceptable Only let down is that they have no sushi I recommend(not as a destination for friday night but for good dinner).

Asiana is charming! I have never had a bad meal. Neither have any of the friends or family I have referred. Top of the list is the curry duck… it is out of this world! The duck is cooked to perfection! The crispy skin alone is a treat. The curry sauce is something you will crave. The Caramelized salmon is also one of my favorites. The salmon is moist and the caramelization is spot on. You will continue to eat even though you are no longer hungry. Yes, it’s that good. All of Asianas food is fresh and the vegetables are vibrant in color. I feel that the owner«Danny» should also me mentioned. Danny takes such pride in his restaurant. Danny will greet you with a warm welcome and make you feel right at home. Danny always goes above and beyond. I guarantee once Danny meets you, he will not forget you. He remembered me, as well as the rest of my party by name the second time we entered Asiana. I give it two thumbs up and five stars!

Food was passable for suburban Thai, Asian fusion but my dining experience was poor. The Manager is a nice guy, but was coughing and sneezing the whole time(take a day off man) and the weirdest aspect was I was the only diner in the restaurant. I wanted to try this place and was embarrassed to leave just because it was empty, so I persevered. My waiter had about as much menu/server knowledge as a person working at Wendy’s, but was pleasant. Since Thai is fairly delicious, in general, I enjoyed different aspects of my meal. I would recommend this if you’re going with a large group of people who don’t mind faux Asian design and brutally standard cooking.

Obviously the owner didnt like my review because it was taken down. so I tried again and I concur the original review. This is my second time to this restaurant in the past 2 weeks. The first time my nephew had picked out the place being a vegetarian, he had seen something on the menu that caught his eye. I had the a very lame Green papaya salad. when I asked for it to be 5 spicy the waiter offered to bring me a side of chili sauce. Apparently the chef had NEVER had a traditional Papaya salad as this had Green bell peppers so no peanuts and no fish sauce, no jalepeno or cilantro. The spice was zilch, please dont insult me by bringing me a side of chili sauce. A great chef should now how to make his own… My nephew and my mom had tofu veg stir fry and some eggplant stir fry, well both came out with wilted droopy baby corn and canned mushrooms In a big broth. so much for stir fry. Both of their entrees cost $ 15 or $ 16 for those prices I expect hi end veggies like shitaki mushroom and spinach or thai root veggie. On my 2nd visit whenI mentioned the veggie issue the owner said oh if I am to get better veggies I must raise the prices. I thought to myself this guy will be out of business within the month. You need to listen to customers, High end veggies, More interesting authentic dishes to choose from. I stare at the menu for 20 mins because noting at all seems interesting up …The owner was nice enough to invite my mom and I back for a second comped dinner since the first was a rip off and not very good. I ordered the tilapia which tasted fine but pan seared fish with ginger and scallions should be a no brainer.. flavor was flavorless I did get my cold shitaki mushrooms(no extra charge) and my mom’s rare salmon was overdone and she made me take her to get chocolate after to get the bad taste out of her mouth We. didn’t have the energy to complain we just wanted out of there. The waiter was un attentive, and distracted by the one other table in there so he couldn’t clear our plates or even said goodble. No mention of a dessert was offered. The the owner made lots of excuses why the food Is WAY overpriced for what you get. Perhaps he should Hop over to Oishi(even on a bad night there you get quality)) to see how its done. They are packed 7 nights a week Oh and spinach and sprouts and mung beans and chinese broccoli are served there. .Asiana better do a quick re-haul(perhaps Asian street food such as bao buns with pork belly and soup dumplings. Ginger scallion crab. Thai beef salad, Laoation version of food. Bring the spice people can hangle it! We arent afraid! the people of this area will not settle for sub par food and hi prices not to mention the clanking of the neighboring gym but actually the dead weights being dropped helped to drown out the suffering MUZAK version of a love story! Give me a break! its 2013 play some Michael Buble or nora jones… Bottom line food, service look of place mediocre. Prices are outrageous(drive 25 mins to Philly and get a real asian meal for the same price but such higher quality, I will never step foot in this place again and cannot recommend it. until the menu and chef change… Wish I could give ½ a star…

The food here is overpriced for the quality. French thai it is not. I was really disappointed in the service and the noise of the gym next door. To bad Newtown really needs a god asian restaurant. Skip it.

My husband and I went here for dinner. We started out with the spring rolls and some of the shrimp wonton soup. The spring rolls were good, but the soup had something off in the seasoning. For entrees, my husband had the shrimp pad thai and I had the stir fry tofu. The tofu in the pad thai was burnt and the dish didn’t compare to some of the pad thai we’ve had elsewhere. I was thrown off by the cilantro in my tofu dish, as it’s not something I’m used to having in Asian cooking. Overall, the food was average and very overpriced. It doesn’t compete with the other Asian restaurants in the area.

We’ve eaten here 4 times and every time was fantastic. We try to order different things on the menu every visit. The service is impeccable and the owner stops by the table to make sure everything is fine. The duck is cooked to perfection as well as every other dish on the menu. A real gem in Newtown!

Went with my wife and was pleasantly surprised. I had heard a lot of average to poor reviews, but because of a last minute valentine day weekend opportunity we gave it a try. The restaurant was slow, but the staff was very attentive. We ordered the Spring Rolls for an appetizer, and enjoyed them thoroughly. They were light and tasty and not heavy like traditional Chinese fare. Next we had the wonton soup which was very nicely flavored and the dumplings were also light. I had the garlic chicken which was slightly salty but tasty. The portion size was a full chicken breast and more than I can finish given the apps and soup. The owner stopped by to check on us and during the conversation explained the cuisine was high end Hong Kong with French influence which utilized saffron and such. Also, the spring rolls and dumplings were made of thinner and lighter dough which was a nice change from the traditional thick dumpling. Some of the negative feedback was focused on take out and I will admit the food was better in the restaurant than the following day. Not sure if it was a mix and infusion of flavors overnight. I hope this places is successful, we had a very nice experience and intend to go back. I am hoping the previous reviews were growing pains. Being that we went in Mid February, I am hoping this is the case

Curried duck was delicious, one of the best things I ever ate. I wanted to lick the plate. The service was gracious, efficient and warm. The surroundings are pleasant. They now just need to work out some issues, the true nature of which are not clear. For example, one of the most popular dishes in restaurants like this is Pad Thai. In a mostly empty place on a weekend night, they were out of it! They were also out of every dessert except vanilla ice cream. I hope they can work things out, many of the dishes are superb and I will forgive the somewhat high prices for the outstanding quality. Another interesting note is that they don’t accept AmEx, unusual in a BYOB where one can easily spend 40−50/person. Even with their shortcomings, they are a step above the former tenants in this location.
