AHOP is amongst my favorite pizza shops. Whenever i am in North Amherst i make it a point to support their business. I have had a few problems with consistency with their sandwiches. But still a solid eatery. The buy 2 premium slices and get a free soda is a good lunch combo.

AHOP is definitely an Amherst favorite of mine. Food always delivers much faster than Dominoes. It’s our Italian delivery go-to. Easy walk from Townehouses or Puffton too. I’ve had pizzas, pastas, Strombolis — it’s all been fantastic. My roommate is gluten-free, so that convenience alone has been a deal breaker for us. The taco pizza is highlight recommended!!!

To start their food is mediocre, and they are very rude. Just because I don’t look Latino does not mean I don’t speak spanish. They are ass@$!#* and will not be getting anymore of my business.

Great slices, super friendly staff. Especially nice that it’s located with convenient parking and plenty of space to eat.

I’m a local, and we run here for slices when we don’t know what to do for dinner. The pizza is delicious! I like the steak taco, BBQ Queen, and steak, bacon, ranch. Also recommend the Hawaiian calzone. Affordable! You can do takeout, or the restaurant is a nice place to enjoy your food. Slices are great, and the whole pizza is too. The staff is very friendly, and provides stellar service. Highly recommend!

So I have to say that this is one of my favorite pizza places in the Amherst area and I have been coming to this pizza shop since it opened and was a hole in the wall. Yesterday we stopped in here after a stretch of not stopping in for a while. Since our move to Greenfield we find ourselves in the Amherst area less and less and one of the biggest losses has been AHOP. The slices here are incredible and the staff is great. Whenever I stop in here I make sure to load up on their chicken bacon ranch pizza as well as their buffalo chicken slices. My wife loves their BBQ chicken and you can’t go wrong with their cheese pizza. The staff here is also incredible. They are polite, fast and treat you like part of the family! Overall, we love this place and have to remember to come here more often!

Go to spot for pizza and pizza place type foods in the area. Also, one of the best burritos in the area, go figure. Always satisfied!

I really like this place because of the BBQ queen, The thing is outstanding and there’s nothing else like it. My boyfriend goes out of his way to come here and get one. Recommend!

This is one of the goto pizza places in the area, they have a large selection of pizza and other pizza place type foods. For a long time my favorite pizza was Buffalo Chicken, however they stopped putting the blue cheese on the pizza and just give you a tiny bit on the side. When we want Buffalo Chicken we are forced to go elsewhere and take our always large family order down the street.

AHOP is the best! I work in Amherst, and anytime we go for lunch it’s to AHOP, usually on my request. The slices are amazing, and the grinders are very good. Highly recommend if your driving threw and are craving a slice.(Two slices of supreme usually gets you a free can of soda or water)

Im choosing this over Antonios in amherst. Both are amazing specialty pizza places but HOP is more spacious, better seating and very slightly out edges antonios taste /pizza to me. 40 mins from my home but my wife and I trek there monthly for the taco slice, chick bacon ranch and buffalo chick. Also they have an amazing philly cheese steak slice.

This place is my favorite pizza place in Amherst. Really awesome pizza and at an awesome price, plus they deliver, and have deals such as buy 2 slices get a 3rd for free. Plenty of parking, on the bus route, away from the busy downtown, if you are looking for a «Respite Pizza Parlor» then this is it! LOL

Very good restaurant in the North End of Amherst. The pizza is to die for. All the toppings are delicious. I recently ordered a slice of Veggie Lovers and a BBQ Chicken. After being heated up the pizza was perfect. The slices are huge and two filled me. My girlfriend ordered a ham and cheese sub and it came loaded with ham cheese lettuce tomato onions and pickles. You order and the food get brought to you, no waiters. It is a very family friendly place with great service. There was a short wait and we will definitely be coming here again soon.

This is the typical college town pizza/grinders/etc. place that usually doesn’t need reviews because college kids don’t care. As a working adult with a family, I really appreciate this place — so here it goes. Pizza is good. Though the variety is not as substantial as the place in town, there is plenty to choose from. Plenty of stuff with vegetables on it if you like that sort of thing. The thing I like the most though, is that I’ve rarely had bad sandwich here. Maybe once an overcooked piece of chicken or a steak grinder with nothing on it that was super dry. But pretty consistently good grinders. The Boston Burger is great(get a double stack, it’s worth it). The new chipotle chicken sandwich is good too. Good, convenient food at a good price. This isn’t a gourmet sandwich shop or anything, but the convenience, variety, and price make it a place I regularly stop. Generally they are good about telling you what specialty pizzas they have available when you call in for take-out(when it’s busy, it’s tough for them, and that place can get really, really busy when the students are in town). Not something every place does. One piece of advice — when you order takeout over the phone and ask for a slice in addition to anything else, they won’t put the slice in until you order. So, get there before your food was supposed to be ready and they’ll put your slice(s) in while they are preparing the rest of the order so it all comes out hot at the same time(if you care and don’t mind sitting there). The only complaint is that it’s unclear if people picking up take-out orders are supposed to wait in line or go directly to the counter. Only matters when it’s busy, but I’ve seen people get salty after waiting in line to pick up a take-out order only to have a bunch of people walk right up to the counter in front of them.

I’ve had the food here, and I am an Amherst Local. I read another review about how the owner trained under Bruno, the«pizza master,» and I think that’s funny. I have eaten Antonio’s Pizza for years, all the way back when it was really good some 20 years ago. I also used to work for a pizza place in this location many years ago as well. Needless to say, the slices are what i’ve sampled the most here and i’m not really impressed. Either you sell them quickly or they’re left sitting out for hours, and when reheated, they don’t taste very good. That’s why Antonio’s was what it was, because it was a high traffic area so you almost always got a slice that wasn’t «old.» I have had a couple subs from here as well, and again, nothing special. So, its nice to finally see a business in this location again, but there are better places to get pizza in Amherst.

The Mediterranean pizza is awesome, and the price is here. I used to like this place better than Antonios(another favorite in Amherst) because the weekend special was Buy 2 slices, get any slice free. They since changed the deal, so I took away a star because they dont have as many flavors as Antonios.

I have been here a few times since they opened. The pizza is good, great selection but i wouldn’t say«best ever.» The buffalo salad comes with buffalo chicken which is really good, no sketchy chicken. I’ve also tried the calzones and the ice cream, both very tasty. My issue is with the new menu that says«new low prices!» a 10″ cheese pizza used to be $ 6, it is now $ 6.50. I did not find one lower price and only a couple that had remained the same(garlic bread $ 2). So i get that it doesn’t say«new lower prices» but i still think it’s misleading and shady.

The Pioneer Valley is something of an odd place for pizza, because, while there are numerous places where you can find free-range, dolphin-safe, green-energy-fired [insert your fantasy topping here] pizza, there are very few that just do a plain ol’ pizza. I’m talking about«soul food», man– you know, the kind of place that does a great CHEESEPIZZA. Amherst House of Pizza is that place. It’s the kind of place that you get pizza from when you just want to spend your Friday night with your {wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, friend-friend, dog}, a movie, and a 6-pack. Conveniently, you can get your beer at the package store next door.

My friends and I ate here after working out. We ordered a large Hawaiian pizza with grilled chicken. It was the best Hawaiian pizza I have ever tasted. I usually just get single slices and it’s reheated. The fresh out of the oven pizza was just amazing. The crust was thin and had the perfect crunch. Definitely recommend people to give this pizza shop a try. Unfortunately, this shop doesn’t open past 10 pm. There are a lot of hungry college students at night… Anyways the inside is pretty nice and the customer service was good.
