Stopped by this Honey Dew on my way home from Black Friday shopping in the area yesterday. The drive thru is super convenient for cars and wheelchairs(there was a guy in a wheelchair at the drive thru? Is this allowed?), the food was great and prepared quickly, and the staff were very friendly, kind, and efficient. Also, large parking lot and easy access from Route 1, and from Stop&Shop across the street. Fine establishment. 5 stars.

…Smelly. Why was this donut shop smelly? — I’m not sure. But it smelled like a soggy, festering mop coupled with a certain je né sais quoi(not an encouraging fragrance). Service was alright — I appreciated that the staff asked if they had put the right amount of milk in my coffee(most places just hand it over expecting you to accept what they give you… and nothing more). I got a small coffee and a donut«stick» thing for just under 5 $(which was how much my gift certificate was for anyway). But only one of the three people in sight was frown-free. …you’d have to be a Honey-Dew Die-Hard to regularly attend.

Sometimes good, sometimes not so good. But the coffee I bought today was quite tasty, so I felt compelled to review. I ordered an iced hazelnut coffee, regular, and it was made perfectly. In general, I am unimpressed with their iced capps. Just takes like iced chocolate milk to me. Their regular coffees are generally hit or miss, so I’m wondering if it’s just dependant upon who’s working that day. It’s close to my house though and across from Stop n Shop so on my way back to unload my groceries I may zip through and get something. Not my first choice for a good coffee though. *Update* Ok, so I’ve recently noticed that the staff at the Honeydew that I frequent from time to time(N Attleboro) has up’ed their friendliness like 10 fold. It’s a little funny, and at times has me wondering if someone’s being silly in the intercom, or else has had one too many lattes themselves: «Ok so that’s a hazelnut iced coffee! Great! Is there anything else at all I can getcha??! No? Ok! Super! See you at the windowwww!!» They’re super perky and upbeat when you get up there as well, always always wishing you a «wonderful afternoon!!!» It makes me giggle everytime. It’s almost like you can picture the manager giving the little pep talk about customer service and positive attitudes. But even though it is a little over the top, it definitely beats having a crotchety lady snatch your 2.50 and thrust your piping hot coffee through the window. You get one more star, Honeydew!

I’ve only dropped by this location twice in the past year or so on the way to the T. and both times the coffee was equally terrible. On my second visit, the iced coffee was practically translucent. When I asked the girl behind the counter if she could darken it up, she proceeded to dump in hot coffee and nonchalantly gave it back to me. I was infuriated and asked for a refund which of course I received along with a dish of major attitude. I would recommend going to another location.

I use to work here 2 years ago when frank and debbie owned it. last summer they closed it and re did it and a new owner is in there. The place has gone to the pits. None of the old guys that would spend there days getting senior discount coffee and the cinnamon stix that would«accidentally» brake and be put out for the guys go there. when it was closed they moved to the mcyd’s across the street. The staff is all new besides a few morning girls. The donuts use to be made fresh in the back all throughout the night now its frozen ones they pop in an oven. The freshly brewed flavor coffee is now taken over by a few pots of coffee that have the flavor shots. Its just not the same and i just dont like it 8(
